A few days had passed since everyone set sail. Many were still laughing proudly, showing off their newly acquired magic like it was a game. But not everyone enjoyed this so-called adventure—especially the high schoolers. Most of them had suffered terrible seasickness.
Alya was one of them, but thanks to her healing magic, she recovered quickly.
Ken stood on the deck, gazing at the endless fleet around them. There were countless ships stretching across the ocean—each carrying at least a hundred people. Even so, many still struggled to adapt.
"Ugh… the sea always makes me sick," Alya groaned as she leaned against the railing. "Man, I wish we could just go home instead of being forced to some unknown continent…"
Ken gave her a reassuring smile. "Hey, we've been training for two months. We've at least got the combat ability of a soldier by now."
Alya blinked, then made an "oh right" face. "Wait, didn't we all get a scroll?"
Ken froze. "…Oh yeah. Totally forgot."
Alya raised her hand, her ring glowing softly as a scroll materialized out of thin air.
"Woah… that was kinda cool," she mumbled, eyes sparkling as she opened it.
( RARE ) – Poison Healing
"Nice! Poison healing! I guess I won't get seasick anymore!" she cheered proudly.
Ken smiled and summoned his own scroll.
( RARE ) – Fireball
"…Well, I can't learn this because I don't have any magic affinity. Might as well save it and trade later," he sighed, a bit deflated.
Days passed. Alya successfully learned her new skill. Excited, she burst into Ken's room.
"Ken! I finally mastered it! Let me test it—Healing!"
A warm light surrounded him. He felt dizzy for a second before his mind became clearer than ever.
"Whoa… that's amazing."
Alya crossed her arms smugly. "Of course! I'm the best healing mage there is!"
They both laughed.
Suddenly—
"SILENCE!!"
A soldier's voice boomed across the ship. Everyone stopped and gathered outside, confused.
The soldier stood before them with a stern expression. "Listen up, people from another world! In a few days, we will enter the territory of the Leviathan. It is a Level Two danger zone. Prepare yourselves."
Silence followed.
Then laughter erupted.
"Hahahahaha! Level Two? We can punch rocks and break them! If we can't handle a Level Two creature, how could we even call ourselves heroes?!"
Many laughed with him. But Ken frowned.
"…He was serious," Ken muttered. "Alya, we should prepare."
Alya nodded quietly.
Days passed. The wise ones prepared, arming themselves and gathering supplies and spell that are useful to them by trading with other, The arrogant ones continued to boast and mess around.
Then, one night…
BOOOOOOM!!!
A deafening roar echoed across the ocean.
Everyone rushed out of their rooms.
They had entered the zone.
Silence fell.
Then—a massive creature erupted from beneath the sea and devoured the ship to their left in one bite.
Screams filled the air.
Those who fell into the water were immediately swarmed by smaller creatures, torn apart as they begged for help.
The once-arrogant young men dropped their weapons, trembling and collapsing to their knees, losing all will to fight.
One by one, other ships were dragged beneath the waves, by those creature.
Then—a small, agile creature leaped onto Ken's ship and decapitated a soldier in an instant. Ken and Alya froze as it casually munched on the corpse.
Panicking, some jumped into the water seeking escape—only to be shredded apart instantly.
Ken grabbed Alya's trembling hand. "Come on!"
They ran back to their cabin. Ken shoved Alya into a large barrel.
"A-Are you coming too!?" she cried, shaking.
Ken smiled weakly. "Don't worry. I'll be fine. Just stay hidden until I return."
He ran back into the chaos, stealing rings from fallen soldiers while avoiding the monsters. Back in his room, he frantically searched through the solider ring for useful scroll.
But than ken see there was a massive creatures appears so far but still appears so big, and it almost as big as a human continent and so long even our eye couldn't seen the end of it massively body, but thankfully it just avoid us all and swim back down.
Ken running back to his room.
Nothing useful—
Until one scroll caught his eye.
( LEGENDARY ) – Clone
(No magic type required)
He immediately learned it.
Hours passed.
But something felt wrong. The screaming outside had faded.
To scout, he used his new spell.
"Clone."
A copy of himself stepped out of the room.
The clone walking outside, and he looking around only to find flesh and body part everywhere, the clone try to throw up but he got kill instantly.
Ken coughed blood violently, but try to still quiet.
The cost of the clone death feedback was too much. Each death forced a clone to form within his body automatically, draining his mana without consent, to create a new clone for him to release at any given time.
His mana dried up. His body weakened. He crawled toward Alya's barrel, barely opening it.
She had fallen asleep, exhausted from fear.
With a relieved smile, Ken collapsed right beside her barrel.
Ten hours later, sunlight seeped into the boat cabin. Ken woke weakly. He lifted Alya out and placed her gently on his bed.
He stepped outside.
A vast beach stretched before him.
"We… made it to the unknown continent?"
Only their ship and the both of them remained, Everyone else… gone.
Alya woke, saw Ken, and immediately ran to him, tackling him in a hug.
"I thought we were going to die…"
Ken hugged her back. "We survived."
They disembarked.
Then—
Thwip.
A small toxic dart struck Ken's neck. He collapsed instantly.
"A-Ah—Ken—Healing—!" Alya tried casting, but she too was shot and fainted.
Their vision went dark.
And so, their journey on the unknown continent began.
