Although countless thoughts raced through Liora's mind, not much time had passed in the real world.
The True Devil, standing opposite to her, briefly sized her up before he opened his mouth and spoke:
"I didn't expect that I would meet my kin in such a distant place.", he prefaced his speech before he continued:
"If I'm not wrong, you should have just left this world.", he stated, and pointed at the world of Knights not far away.
Although his tone seemed to be inquiring, his voice was firm and full of certainty.
Hearing him, Liora's thoughts receded.
She didn't choose to lie when faced with his question, but instead nodded her head in agreement:
"Indeed."
Her honest answer surprised the True Devil. He paused for a brief second before a smile crept up on his face.
"Haha. It's been a while since I last met a truly honest Devil.", he chuckled.
He was praising her, all in order to open up a conversation.
