Chapter 2 - The beginning

in a sea of birch trees there was a caravan. it was a simple caravan with delicately carved Mahogony wheels. the wheels were firm and sturdy enough for long journeys and yet as the knights surrounded the caravan it seemed as if the once stable wooden wheels would fall apart at any moment. which was unusual considering that this problem had not occurred in the previous town. it was as if something or someone was stopping them here within this Forrest. " Hans!" yelled the merchant. throughout the journey he had been patient with the knights but as his caravan had come to a halt, he couldn't help but feel suspicious of his men. it was as if the wheels had been tampered with so naturally, he couldn't help but feel concern. " Father, you shouldn't suspect our guards." a soft voice spoke up. this voice was the voice of none other than the merchants one and only daughter Abigail. " Abigail my dear, our wheels had clearly been tampered with. you should not be so trusting of our men..." when the merchant was worriedly chiding his daughter another voice spoke up and this time it was the calm voice of a man who had seen his fair share of betrayals. " Your father is right Abigail. you should be more wary now that were in Blauauge Forrest. this Forrest is known to bring out the wickedness in people's hearts. isn't that right Freed." Hans calmly remarked with an indifferent gaze. he was accustomed to his master's outburst. which only made Freed fume as he then glared at the knights with a fiery contemptuous gaze. " If I find out any one of you is involved, I swear I'll make you regret it." The merchant yelled with a look of utter disgust but as he glared at the knights, he was unaware of the figure blissfully watching from the trees.
