Just as Zhu Hao was merrily antagonizing a cluster of low-level Soul Beasts, a distinct sound sliced through the air. The sound rapidly changed from a distant whisper to an immediate roar, indicating that whatever was approaching possessed incredible speed.
Zhu Hao's senses sharpened instantly. The next moment, the bushes exploded outward, and a massive serpent appeared before him.
It was a Flying Cockatrice-tailed Snake. It flew low to the ground, only about ten feet up. Its head was crowned with a fleshy crest that was larger than the head itself and shone a brilliant, blood-red. Its tail was unmistakable, fanning out like a peacock's plume.
"A Phoenix-tailed Cockscomb Snake!"
The name flashed immediately in Zhu Hao's mind. "Looks like it's about twenty feet long. Its cultivation must be around 1,300 years!"
"Although the Phoenix-tailed Cockatrice is non-venomous, its constriction power is immense. It can crush a small beast like Zhu Hao instantly! He is likely no match for it!"

In the blink of an eye, Zhu Hao's body erupted. The small bear suddenly swelled and transformed into a towering, golden-furred behemoth nearly seven feet tall. His limbs became thick and powerful, his body perfectly round but radiating an overwhelming, fierce aura.
"How is that possible?! He suddenly became a hundred times stronger! Was he hiding his true strength all this time?"
Ah Yin's beautiful eyes widened in utter disbelief. Her cherry-red lips parted slightly in astonishment. She had known he could increase his strength by tenfold, but one hundred times? The shock was visceral.
"Fascinating. It seems this little fellow possesses far more secrets than I could ever imagine," Ah Yin whispered, her voice filled with amused curiosity.

Facing the charging Phoenix-tailed Cockatrice, and feeling the immense, crushing power surging within his enlarged form, Zhu Hao let out a long, powerful roar of pure exhilaration, releasing the excess energy into the air.
The Phoenix-tailed Cockatrice's eyes were filled with confusion and panic. Its easy prey—the little Pig Bear—had instantly transformed into a terrifyingly large black bear. Ten thousand mud-horses of dread stampeded through its serpentine mind.

Despite the powerful momentum of Zhu Hao's transformation, the snake was already committed. It clamped its jaws down, biting at its target.
