Chapter 9 - chapter 9

"In the depths of a secret underground laboratory, countless scientists moved busily beneath the dim glow of flickering lights.

On a reinforced table lay a single dark wooden branch, pulsing faintly with a strange dual aura — one of vitality and devouring hunger.

The lead scientist adjusted his glasses, eyes gleaming with feverish curiosity as he carefully extracted a tissue sample from the branch.

He placed it under a high-tech scanner, watching the data scroll rapidly across the holographic display.

"No... this won't do," he muttered, frustration creeping into his voice. "The cells reject the fusion. We need a new method — a way to make it compatible with human DNA. Only then can we harness the divine tree's power... to grant humanity both immortality and the ability to devour everything."

A manic glint flashed in his eyes at the thought.

He tapped a few keys, and several clan symbols appeared across the screen — ancient emblems glowing faintly in crimson light.

Uchiha

Senju

Uzumaki

Hyūga

Hagoromo

Kaguya

The Lunar Ōtsutsuki

"Descendants of the Ōtsutsuki… their genetic code is the key," he whispered. "They alone possess the compatibility we need."

But his expression darkened.

"Except for the Hyūga, these bloodlines are practically extinct. Still… cloning technology has made the process smoother. Soon, we'll have enough vessels to proceed."

As he mused, the heavy steel doors hissed open.

A tall woman stepped inside — her raven-black hair cascading to her waist, her elegant attire exuding both nobility and cold authority.

Instantly, every scientist in the room froze.

They bowed their heads.

"Miss Ukari."

She nodded curtly, her expression unreadable as she approached the lead scientist.

"Dr. Henry," she said in a cool, commanding tone. "Any progress on the divine tree's cells?"

Henry straightened immediately, pushing up his glasses.

"Yes, Miss Ukari. We've begun cloning Ōtsutsuki descendants and fusing their DNA with White Zetsu cells. The vessels are adapting well to the divine tissue — their compatibility has increased dramatically."

Ukari's lips curved into a faint smile.

"Good. Continue your work, Doctor. You're making excellent progress."

Henry smiled — confident, almost proud. But his composure faltered when Ukari's tone shifted.

"And what about the restoration… of that man's body?"

Henry hesitated, then replied gravely.

"His body suffered catastrophic damage. His vitality is nearly gone. Even with our resources, we'll need at least seven years to fully reconstruct him."

Ukari fell silent, her sharp eyes dimming with unease.

Even she did not fully understand why her collaborator — a being of immense power — insisted on reviving that man. The very thought sent shivers down her spine.

"I see," she finally said. "Do not delay the process. We cannot afford to anger that lord."

"Understood, Madam."

Henry bowed slightly and returned to his work as Ukari turned and exited the lab.

Her heels echoed down the corridor until she reached a heavily guarded chamber.

After a soft knock, she stepped inside.

Within the room stood a massive nutrient tank, glowing with a pale green light. Inside floated the faint silhouette of a man — long spiky black hair drifting in the fluid, eyes closed in eternal slumber.

And this man was none other than the Shura of the Shinobi World… the Ghost of the Uchiha himself — Madara Uchiha!

Before the tank, a figure sat lazily on a sofa.

He was tall and ethereal, with skin so pale it was almost white, two sharp horns protruding from his head, and snow-white hair cascading down his back.

A black blindfold covered his eyes, and his white coat, adorned with black tomoe symbols, shimmered faintly in the sterile light.

He turned toward her with a playful grin.

"Oh, Ukari. You're here," he said lightly. "How are things progressing in the lab?"

Ukari bowed slightly.

"Lord JUDASHIKI Ōtsutsuki, the results are promising. We've successfully created beings capable of channeling the divine tree's power."

JUDASHIKI chuckled softly, amusement lacing his tone.

"Oh? Now that's interesting. And what of his body?"

"My lord, the damage was far too severe. His life force has been completely drained. It will take at least seven years to restore him fully."

"Seven years…" he mused, tapping his chin. "A shame… but manageable."

He smiled again, this time more playfully.

"And Ukari, really — just call me JUDASHIKI. We're partners, aren't we?"

Ukari immediately shook her head.

"I wouldn't dare, my lord."

He sighed.

"You're no fun. Very well — you may go."

"As you command."

She bowed deeply and left the chamber.

Left alone, JUDASHIKI leaned back on the sofa, eyes hidden behind his blindfold, his grin widening.

"The future will be so entertaining…" he whispered. "Wouldn't you agree, Hagoromo? Who would've thought your son would be resurrected — and his previous reincarnation soon to follow?"

"Not just that…" JUDASHIKI's grin widened, his tone dripping with amusement.

"Your second son's chakra — it too has been reincarnated, finding a new vessel in this era."

He chuckled softly, the sound echoing like a sinister whisper through the chamber.

"And last but not least… another of your descendants walks this world. One whose bloodline is closer to your mother's than anyone else's."

His eyes — hidden behind the blindfold — seemed to glow faintly with excitement.

"How fascinating… how utterly entertaining this world has become."

JUDASHIKI's smile deepened, the amusement in his voice darkening into something almost reverent.

"And soon… our clansmen will descend upon this world once more."

He leaned back lazily, as if savoring the thought.

"One of us still hides among the humans, waiting patiently… biding his time for the moment of resurrection."

His tone turned colder, almost gleeful.

"All so he can take his revenge on your dear mother."

A low laugh escaped his lips — soft at first, then growing louder, echoing eerily through the chamber.

"Hahahahaha… The coming era will be truly glorious."

To be continued.
