What I was expecting after the light consumed me were the grand pillars and flowing lakes of the goddess' world. Instead, I was transported into a large room made entirely of gold.
At the center stood a massive bed that could easily accommodate more than a hundred people. It was surrounded on all sides by translucent curtains. Other than that, the room was completely empty.
Fixing my gaze on the bed, I noticed a figure stirring awake. 'She has time to sleep after making me her slave?'
Anger simmered within me at the sight of Uriel sleeping so peacefully. Of course, she wasn't the one stuck as an eternal nine-to-five worker, that's why she looked so relaxed.
With steady steps and calm breaths, I approached the curtains and drew them open. The moment I did, I froze.
The goddess… she was naked.
I knew this was supposed to be a serious moment, but my dragon decided to awaken at the worst possible time.
Still, I couldn't deny the goddess's beauty: golden hair flowing like liquid sunlight across the bed, pale skin that looked impossibly soft, and full, round breasts that could make anyone—
'What are you thinking about?!'
I turned away quickly, exhaling slowly. After steadying myself, I called out, "Hey, Uriel, can you wake up?"
I came here ready to confront her, but now all that energy had gone to waste.
I sighed, waiting several seconds before calling again. "Uriel, are you—"
Before I could finish, something grabbed me and yanked me onto the soft bed. I landed with a dull thud, slightly disoriented. When I looked up, I saw the goddess straddling me. Her golden eyes locked with mine as her chest swayed with her movements.
"What are you—" I started, but Uriel pressed a finger to my lips, silencing me.
"How can you barge in when a woman is naked? Just because I'm a goddess doesn't mean I'm not a woman."
I gritted my teeth and tried to push her off, but she bent her knee, pressing her body harder against mine. "Don't move, or else I'll put it in."
To be honest, I could feel every deliberate movement of hers. Whether it was because of my dragon or something else, the sensation was ten times more intense than it should have been, almost intoxicating.
But when I remembered what I would become in the next thousand years…
"Uriel, we need to talk."
Uriel nodded, placing her hand on my chest while moving even faster. "Aaahh~ I'm listening."
I stifled any strange sounds and continued. "What were you planning to do to me?"
"What?" The goddess paused mid-motion, tilting her head. "'What I was planning to do?' Nothing. I wasn't planning anything." She tapped her chin thoughtfully. "Oh, are you talking about this? I saw another goddess doing it, and I wanted to try it too."
My expression darkened. "So you're saying you weren't planning to make me your balance slave?"
Uriel shook her head quickly. "No! I would never. I'm not that kind of person."
Was I supposed to believe that? There was no rule saying a goddess couldn't lie, so it was possible she was deceiving me.
But there was also a chance she truly hadn't intended it, and things had simply changed over time. Judging from my vision, I had eventually gotten used to endless work after complaining for so long that I stopped caring.
I shut my eyes briefly, organizing my thoughts, then reopened them. "Can you get off me first?"
Uriel shook her head and began moving again. "No, just one more minute, I'm close."
The goddess moved her hips against my dragon, which had slipped free from beneath my Hanfu. She guided my hand to her waist.
Her skin was smooth and warm, softer than silk, almost like touching clouds. I felt her body's heat seep into my hand as the dampness beneath her spread across me.
"Isn't that enough?" I asked, trying to sound irritated, though that was far from the truth.
I had to admit it, this felt incredible.
Uriel kept rocking her hips rhythmically, soft sounds escaping her lips. After a pause, she murmured, "Adrian, can you explain to… mmm… me why you came here, and how you even got here?"
"Come down first, so we can talk."
Uriel squeezed her eyes shut, her body trembling for a few seconds before relaxing.
"Haah, that was amazing."
Her eyes now looked glassy, like something straight out of an anime back on Earth.
"Before you do anything else, can you listen to me?" I said.
Uriel nodded. "I'm listening, but please be quick."
"Uriel, who exactly ordered you to bring me to this world, and why?"
Uriel blinked, beads of sweat forming on her forehead. "Huh? What are you talking about?" She waved her hands nervously. "I don't know what you mean."
I gripped her wrist firmly. "If you won't answer me, then I'm done."
"You don't have a choice."
"I do. I'm as much a god as you, remember? All I need to do is end myself."
Uriel's gaze lingered on my face before she collapsed onto my chest. "Okay, I'll tell you."
She began explaining the true reason she summoned me.
In the world of gods, there exists a hierarchy of age and power. Those lower in the chain must obey those above. She and several others had been tasked with summoning mortals to their worlds to restore balance. That was why they went to the Endless Spring in the first place.
At first, Uriel had been hesitant since she hated manipulating others. So she devised a plan to write her world's future as a novel and use readers' feedback to fix it. But after some thought, she deemed the idea impractical, as it would expose her world to too many mortals.
Instead, she chose one particular reader, a skilled reviewer, and gave him her novel. To her surprise, I turned out to be far more insightful than she expected. That's why she changed her mind and sent me to her world.
"So what you're saying is, you weren't the one who made me do all this work, your superiors were."
Uriel nodded, already shifting her hips again even while lying on my chest. "Normally, I'd say I can't do anything, but since you're close to divinity, I can arrange an audience with them."
My eyes widened. "You can? Then that means I can quit?"
Without warning, Uriel bit my chest lightly. "And what happens to my world then? Do you want me to be bullied?"
"Honestly, I don't care."
Uriel pouted dramatically, lifting her head to meet my eyes. "Even if I give you a cute expression?"
"I still don't give a damn."
She sighed, sitting upright. "Okay, okay. Even if I take you to them, those seniors won't listen. They might make your life even worse."
I shook my head. "No. If I make a professional presentation explaining why I can't keep working, they'll have to let me go."
Uriel smiled softly. "Then, if you're free, will you stay with me? Being a god is lonely, I'm always alone."
"Will you order me around?"
She shook her head. "No." Her gaze shifted sideways. "Although, this is the only bed and room I have, so we'll have to sleep together."
She paused, then lifted my member and positioned it near her entrance. "Thanks for the—"
"Hey! Hold on! Can't you do this after I'm done with the gods?"
"Shh…" Her finger hovered above my lips. "Don't ruin the mood hoooo~"
