Chapter 172 - Chapter 172: Hel’s New Body (Part 2)

"Wouldn't this be a bit too plain? At least use Dragonheart Strings for the magical circuits—it would help in casting magic more efficiently."

"Alright, then."

Hel nodded, accepting Niv's suggestion, and began constructing her new body.

Unlike when she created Niv, which was a semi-mechanical, semi-living body, this time Hel intended to create a completely normal flesh-and-blood body via alchemy. It was far simpler than making Niv.

As the skeleton, organs, nerves, blood, and skin were gradually synthesized, the body began to take shape.

"Master, if you want a body completely different from your original, why make the chest so flat? Wouldn't a larger chest help deceive people?"

Niv tilted her head, puzzled. She remembered her Master as someone fond of large breasts.

"Heh, you don't understand. Keeping it small makes it easier for me to fight."

"But it looks like a young boy. People won't think this is the body of a beautiful witch."

"Hmm, you have a point."

Hel nodded and injected some primordial matter into the chest. Once it rose slightly, she stopped.

Niv sighed, seeing this. "Master, it still looks kind of boyish. Want me to help adjust it?"

"Uh…"

Hel hesitated, feeling a bit guilty. She knew it might be a little inappropriate, but subconsciously, she was thinking of her lost, pitiful dragon form.

Otherwise, with her past life as a failed art student, she could never have sculpted such a delicate form.

"Never mind. I'll do it myself."

Hel took a deep breath, letting go of her attachment to the dragon, and redesigned the body.

Soon, a stunningly voluptuous beauty appeared on the creation platform.

Her skin was translucent, moonlight-like, with faint veins visible beneath. Her long silver hair flowed like the finest silk.

Her delicate face, with slightly upturned eyes, gave off an aura of untouchable elegance. Anyone approaching would feel she was an ice-cold beauty.

Yet on this cold face was a perfectly placed teardrop mole, adding a touch of charm and making her seem slightly more approachable.

Hel also adjusted the previously criticized proportions. Now, the body's figure was full enough to impress—enough to form a noticeable cleavage.

"Wow, Master, you're really good at this!"

Niv circled the body, admiring it, clicking her tongue in awe.

"But something still feels off. Master, why don't you try inhabiting it?"

"Later."

Hel shook her head and approached the body. She drew a dagger from her waist and stabbed it into the chest without hesitation.

She inserted the prepared elemental crystal into the wound, but did not use life magic to heal it.

Instead, she began chanting a necromantic summoning spell.

A magic circle appeared at her feet, and black death energy gushed from the chest wound, forming threads that stitched the wound closed. With the flow of primordial matter, the wound disappeared entirely.

But creating a corpse alone wasn't enough—soul was crucial.

Hel could not conjure a sixth-tier soul out of nothing, but she could use the soul energy stored in the Philosopher's Stone, compressing it into the body to simulate a sixth-tier soul.

As countless death elements flowed into the body, the soul energy condensed and refined into a true sixth-tier soul.

This was similar to the necromantic emblem's synthesis function, but the soul Hel created had no consciousness. Even the true spirit was newly constructed, only capable of gathering soul energy, without memory or thought.

Top-tier Death Magic: Supreme Undead Creation.

The death energy from the circle surged into the body. When the last wisp entered, the spell was complete.

"Good luck—this belongs to the first echelon of flesh-and-blood undead: the End Dragon Maiden."

Feeling the body, Hel nodded with satisfaction. Perhaps due to the small Dragonheart Strings, the body had undergone a slight transformation.

Originally, with ordinary materials and no special bloodline, she expected at best a mediocre crimson maid. Unexpectedly, there was a pleasant surprise.

"Master, want to try inhabiting the body?"

Niv asked, hugging Hel from behind.

Normally, Hel had no trouble controlling bodies, but this one was a tier above her current level. Using it could risk putting her original body into deep unconsciousness.

"Thanks, Niv."

Hel said, extending her right hand toward the new body.

Intermediate Death Magic: Possession of Undead.

The next moment, Hel's body went limp, almost collapsing. Fortunately, Niv supported her. Hel's consciousness now resided in the new body.

She closed her eyes, silently assessing the new form. Hel sighed.

"It's still peak sixth-tier, not breaking into seventh, but far stronger than ordinary peak sixth-tier.

Combined with my abilities, I should be able to face a newly ascended seventh-tier without defeat."

"That's already incredible. Seventh-tier in the old Goblin Empire were among the elite. They rarely appeared unless something significant happened, so you don't need to worry too much."

Niv, tightly holding Hel, rested her chin on Hel's shoulder, examining the new body with bright eyes.

"Master, I think I know what was missing before. Let me prepare a proper outfit for you later."
