"Hey!!! You are late... Again!!!" Said Stella to her best friend Tia. Tia smirked and said, "Said by the who is always late except today and for what!!! A boy!" Tia rolled her eyes and kept driving. Stella was flustered and said stammeringly, "Who says!!! I suddenly had an epiphany and wanted to make up for my mistakes and.... Go to class everyday on time from now on..." She then lowered her head to hide her flushed face. Tia smirked teasingly and said nothing more.
They drove to their University, Heaven University, silently while listening to their favorite band, The Symphony. They parked the car and went directly to their class. In the classroom, a blonde brown eyed girl greeted them. It was the class monitor and the topper of their class, Sarah.
Sarah - "Hey girlies!!! You are quite early today, normally you only attend the afternoon classes. In which direction the sun rise today, huh?"
She laughed freely at the two besties. Tia retorted with a pout, "Baby, let us off the hook. You know Stella here is a big fan of our campus heartthrob, Merhan, right? I had to wake up early just to fulfill her dream of chasing that guy.... Ooo, how tragic my life is!!!" Sarah scoffed at that and said, "How tragic, how tragic!!! Humph!!! As if he will notice any of us normies. You also know he is the campus heartthrob and countless girls are chasing him and at the top of that, most of them are more beautiful than us... Ooo, and did I not mention his background... He is a billionaire second generation. Do you think, we paupers stand a chance at winning him? Leave him and focus on your studies... At least it'll feed you later." At that both Tia and Stella froze for a moment, then their earlier spirit vanished entirely. Stella even slumped onto her desk and started pondering about her life.
In University, the three of them weren't exactly famous, but in their classroom they certainly were. Sarah was the topper, Tia was social butterfly and Stella was kind and gentle with good grade, just below Sarah, and she was beautiful too, but the one thing that stood out mostly was her personality. Around her, everyone felt at ease, she was steady, mature and playful and childish some times, with the people she was close to, of course. Tia was a cute girl with beautiful green eyes and brown hair. Stella had jet black hairs and beautiful blue eyes with a curvy body, she was the epitome of beauty, but she hides her beauty under loose fitted clothes and glasses and freckles drawn with eye liner. She didn't want to stand out in crowd, she didn't like people following her either, she wanted peace and tranquility in her life. So she hid her beauty well. Tia and Stella were childhood friends and best friends. They met Sarah in class at University and instantly clicked with her. They became friends quickly and always sticked together in campus. In campus living facility, they were even in the same dorm room. Every weekend Tia and Stella each return to their respective homes for family time. In week days they live on campus.
Their first class ended and they all went to the rest room chatting and laughing at their own jokes. When they came out of the rest room, they weren't looking ahead and bumped into other people. They were Merhan and his two friends, Sid and Liam.
The girls flustered, hastily said sorry to them and turned around to leave immediately. But Sid stopped them. The girls reluctantly turned around, each lowered their heads like wronged puppies. Merhan chuckled watching them, he was amused to see their flustered reactions. Suddenly Sid's eyes widened with surprise and he asked Tia, "Are you an Indian??" Tia looked up and met Sid's excited eyes. She slowly said, "I am. But I grew up here, in New York." Sid eagerly started conversing with her about India, which state or town she came from, about her Hindi knowledge and they instantly clicked then and there. Sid and Tia exchanged contact information and promised to set a gathering to formally meet each other's friends. Tia mainly agreed to the gathering idea because Merhan was Sid's friend and she wanted to set Merhan and Stella up. Then they parted ways. This whole time when Tia and Sid were talking Stella was looking at Merhan. Her little face was flushed red. Whenever Merhan looked at her, she awkwardly lowered her head and started fidgeting with her fingers. Merhan found this action both amusing and adorable. It didn't go unnoticed by their friends. When they parted ways, Tia and Sarah teased Stella and on the other side Sid and Liam teased Merhan.
Merhan chuckled and replied to his friends teasing that, "She is adorable. And I think she looks like someone I know. It's like, they are the same person but not quite same. Do you get what I am trying to say here?" Both Sid and Liam shook their head in unison. Merhan found his words confusing and absurd even to himself. So he shook his head and changed the topic.
On the other side, Stella blushed and said, "He caught me looking at him intensely.... How embarrassing!!! I am dead... He must be thinking I'm so shameless..... Uhh... Even I think I am getting shameless... What to do... What to do... Uhh..." Tia and Sarah laughed at her unceremoniusly. Stella felt even more embarrassed seeing their unreserved laughter. She wanted to dig a hole and hide in it.
Everyone went about their own way. Tia, Stella and Sarah went to their second class. Meanwhile Sid, Liam and Merhan went to the basketball court to play and practice for their upcoming sports competition against the rival University team.
In the evening the three girls were passing by the basketball court, when suddenly a boy bumped into Stella and she fell down. That boy was in a hurry. He hastily said sorry and left. This scene was witnessed by Merhan. When he saw Stella was struggling to get up, he went over to help her.
