Chapter 48 - PMIN: Chapter 48

Thinking of this, Tsunade couldn't help but reach out and pinch Kenji's waist hard.

If this guy hadn't provoked her when he already had Kushina, she wouldn't have fallen into this dilemma.

But after all, being a ninja was a high-risk profession, and death could come at any time. Rather than being afraid of this and that, it was better to enjoy the moment.

So, Tsunade planned to leave those annoying things to her future self.

"You're really getting off easy, you little bastard."

...

"Encountered the super big boss Tsunade, tried my best but still couldn't win. I'm still too weak, I need to continue training in the future."

After letting out a sigh, Kenji dragged his somewhat tired steps towards his tent.

Konan was still waiting for him inside. He didn't know if Konan would feel lonely after not seeing him for a day.

As soon as Kenji walked into his tent, he was hugged tightly by Konan's small body.

Feeling Konan's slightly trembling body, a feeling of guilt arose in Kenji's heart.

He had actually left Konan alone here because he was greedy for pleasure. He was simply too deserving of death.

After a long time, Konan's aggrieved voice slowly sounded.

"I thought you didn't want me anymore, Kenji-oniichan?"

Time returned to two hours ago.

Konan, who had just opened her eyes, suddenly found that Kenji next to her was gone.

In an instant, a huge panic swept through Konan's entire body.

Konan even suspected that everything yesterday was just a dream she had.

Or that she was just a natural disaster star, and anyone who got close to her would encounter misfortune.

That was how it was with her father and mother, and that was how it was with Kenji. Otherwise, why was Kenji still there before she went to sleep, but he disappeared when she woke up?

So, Konan sat blankly on the bed, recalling the moments, though brief, that had warmed her life yesterday.

Fortunately, things didn't develop in the worst direction. After a long wait, Kenji still came back.

Under the joy and sorrow, Konan made a bold move that she would never make on weekdays.

Looking at Konan's face, which was about to drop small pearls, Kenji felt that his heart was about to melt.

He quickly squatted down, reached out and gently wiped away the tears from the corners of Konan's eyes, explaining softly:

"I'm sorry, there was an urgent mission this morning. I saw that you hadn't woken up yet, so I left. I'll definitely not let this happen again next time."

Konan didn't reply, but buried her head in Kenji's arms.

After an unknown amount of time, Kenji broke the silent atmosphere.

"Konan, have you eaten?"

Konan raised her head, looking at Kenji and shaking her head slightly.

"I've been waiting for you, Kenji-oniichan, but it's okay. I often didn't have anything to eat all day before. It doesn't matter."

Hearing this, Kenji's heart twitched again.

So, he quickly asked:

"Then what do you want to eat now, Konan? I'll make it for you."

Konan looked at Kenji with expectant eyes, responding softly:

"I want to eat grilled fish..."

"There happens to be a stream nearby. How about I take you there to grill fish?"

Kenji reached out and touched Konan's head, saying this.

Hearing this, Konan naturally agreed very willingly.

Next to the stream, under Konan's expectant gaze, Kenji slowly stretched his hand covered with Lightning Release into the stream.

After a burst of "crackling" electric light, the fish in the stream fell asleep one after another, floating to the surface with their bellies up.

Seeing this scene, Konan immediately revealed an adoring look, complimenting while clapping her hands:

"Kenji-oniichan is so amazing."

In terms of emotional value, it was directly maxed out for Kenji.

Then, Kenji began to process the dead fish, while Konan collected firewood nearby.

Before long, a pile of bonfire was lit.

Under Konan's expectant gaze, Kenji placed the marinated fish on a stick, then stood it next to the fire.

After a while, under the roasting of the flames, a charming aroma emanated from the grilled fish.

Making Konan's stomach make a "guruguru" sound.

After all, Konan hadn't eaten all day, so it was normal for her stomach to rumble.

Looking at Kenji's concerned gaze, Konan lowered her head shyly, explaining softly:

"That wasn't my stomach making noise."

Hearing this, Kenji smiled and didn't expose Konan. Instead, he took the blame on himself.

"That's right, it was my stomach making noise just now."

Hearing Kenji say this, Konan raised her small head again, but the blush on her face didn't fade away at all.

Just as the grilled fish was about to be completed, a "crack" sound of a branch being broken suddenly rang out.

Konan immediately stood up, took out the kunai that Kenji had given her, and looked around vigilantly.

And Kenji still maintained his previous posture, without any reaction.

Although this place was very close to the Konoha camp, the Land of Rain wasn't very peaceful.

So, Kenji had used a sensory ninjutsu when grilling the fish.

He had long known the identity of this uninvited guest.

Tsunade's figure slowly walked out of a small path, then praised Konan.

"Good vigilance, keep it up."

And after seeing Tsunade's figure, Konan also put the kunai back into her ninja tool bag, then revealed a smile to Tsunade.

Although Konan and Tsunade had only met once, in Konan's heart, Tsunade was definitely a great person.

Because Tsunade was Kenji's teacher, and someone who was familiar with Kenji wouldn't be a bad person.

Tsunade walked behind Kenji, placed her chin on his shoulder, then said quietly:

"You little brat, you're secretly eating without telling me. You're really a heartless little bastard."

Faced with Tsunade's "question," Kenji only smiled and then explained:

"Didn't you say you wanted to sleep? I didn't want to disturb you."

Tsunade didn't reply, but sat in Kenji's arms, looking at the fire in front of her, and said as if she was acting spoiled:

"How long until we can eat? My stomach is about to starve."

Kenji gently rubbed his face against Tsunade's neck, then responded softly:

"You came at the right time. We can eat in a little while."

After their relationship broke through, Tsunade didn't have so much embarrassment towards Kenji anymore, completely acting as she pleased.

If it were in the past, she wouldn't have taken the initiative to sit in Kenji's arms even when they were alone, let alone with Konan, a "little light bulb," sitting next to them.
