Chapter 48 - Tension

The Classroom was silent for a few seconds, but the tension was thick enough to cut with a knife. Section E sat frozen, eyes wide, mouths slightly open, trying to process what Lia had just said.

Jay finally broke the silence, her voice trembling with disbelief. "Wait… you mean, like… all of us? DNA tests? Now? Seriously?"

Aries ran a hand through his hair, muttering, "Bro… this isn't just some weird drama… this could… this could change everything we thought we knew."

Kiefer leaned back in his chair, still staring at Lia. "And… what if it shows something crazy? Like… I mean… what if someone's really related to someone else in a way we didn't expect?"

Eren whispered under his breath, "Bro… she's calm, but inside… she's thinking ten steps ahead. Lia doesn't mess around."

Mayo rubbed his arm where he'd been bruised in their last fight, frowning. "She's just… sitting there, like it's nothing. Bro, I can't even imagine being that confident. That's… scary."

Freya glanced at Ella, her voice barely a whisper. "I've never seen anyone control a room like that. Everyone's quiet… just because Lia spoke."

Kit leaned forward, eyes narrowing. "So, this isn't optional. She's serious. She's commanding it. We follow her lead, no questions. And… yeah, it's happening."

Denzel exhaled slowly. "All the secrets we didn't know… this is about to blow everything open. I don't even know if I'm ready for that."

Lia, sitting at the edge of the desk, didn't say a word. She simply observed, letting the weight of her demand settle over the room. Her gaze was sharp, calculating, and unreadable. Even the calmest among them could feel the intensity radiating off her.

Jay leaned slightly toward Aries, whispering, "Bro… do you think she knows something we don't?"

Aries shook his head slowly. "I don't know. But if she does… I wouldn't want to be on the other side of it."

Kiefer muttered under his breath, almost to himself, "This is insane… DNA tests, family secrets, all of it…"

Angelo, standing quietly near the back, finally spoke, his voice even but carrying the weight of responsibility. "Alright. We'll arrange the tests. Everyone involved—Aries, Jay, Kiara, Lia, and myself—will participate. Mothers too. It will answer questions… though I can't promise how everyone will handle the truth."

Lia's eyes flicked toward Angelo, calm yet unwavering. "Good. No more hiding. No more assumptions. When the truth comes, we face it together."

The rest of Section E sat in silence, the magnitude of the situation sinking in. Outside, the school carried on as usual, but inside the classroom, every heartbeat felt louder, every glance heavier. Secrets were about to unravel, and none of them would walk away unchanged.

Even as they processed it, none could ignore the tension lingering in the air, the sense that something far bigger than any of them was about to unfold. The storm wasn't just coming—it had already begun.
