Chapter 43 - The hallway chaos

The office was silent except for the sound of Principal Ramos' trembling hands flipping through papers. His normally stern face was pale. His eyes darted nervously between the three students in front of him: Lia, Kairav, and Angelo.

He had faced many challenges in his career, but these three were different. He didn't fear anyone else, but he feared them.

Angelo — who once orchestrated a school-wide kidnapping.

Lia — unpredictable, deadly, and one of the wealthiest students in the world.

Kairav — calm, strategic, and married to Lia, his influence and power unmatched.

Ramos swallowed hard. "I… I called you here because of… the hallway incident."

Lia leaned back in her chair, arms crossed. "Detention, I suppose?"

Ramos flinched. "W-well, yes, but… I just… You know… for safety. Reflection letters… cleaning… you understand."

Angelo smirked. "Sir, we cleaned the mess last time. And we didn't even start it this time."

Kairav's voice was calm but firm. "Exactly. Lia defended herself and Section E. No one else got involved."

Ramos wiped sweat from his forehead. "I… I know, I know… but still. Rules are rules…"

Lia tilted her head. "You're scared."

The principal's face twitched. "I-I am not scared! I'm… concerned. For… uh… safety."

Angelo laughed softly. "Concerned, right. We'll take the punishment, sir. Just… make it minimal."

Ramos gestured weakly. "F-fine. Detention. One hour. Don't… uh… break anything else… please."

Lia nodded, calm as ever. "Done."

Kairav stood up. "We're leaving."

Ramos nearly fainted as they walked out. He muttered to himself, "If only the whole school knew what they're capable of…"

No sooner had Lia, Kairav, and Angelo stepped into the hallway than Kiara appeared at the far end, smirking. Behind her, Michael and a few Section D boys stood ready to confront them.

Michael shoved Lia's shoulder. "Thought you could ignore me?"

Lia didn't flinch. Kairav stepped beside her; Angelo moved in front. Jay, Aries, and Kiefer flanked them on their side. Lia didn't need to fight them — they were allies.

Michael sneered. "Come on! Fight me!"

Lia's voice dropped low, Hindi, dangerous:

"Haath hata." (Remove your hand.)

He pushed again.

BAM! Michael went flying into Logan, crashing to the floor.

The fight erupted.

Lia moved with lightning speed, taking down Section D attackers only. She avoided hitting Aries, Jay, and Kiefer.

Angelo threw a boy into a locker.

Kairav blocked two boys at once, calm and precise.

Jay punched hard to distract.

Aries kicked a boy off balance.

Kiefer knocked another into the wall.

Kiara watched, shocked and slightly impressed. "Still deadly…"

Michael swung again — Lia ducked and kicked his knee, then slammed him into Logan.

The hallway was chaos:

Screams

Crashes

Lockers rattling

Shoes flying

Then came the whistle. Teachers, security, and Principal Ramos rushed in. Ramos froze — he had seen Lia, Angelo, and Kairav in action. No punishment could scare them.

The fight ended with Lia, Kairav, Angelo, Jay, Aries, and Kiefer standing strong. Section D groaned, bruised and beaten.

Lia wiped her knuckles. "This is the price for attacking Section E. Don't forget — I only fight those who attack us."

Kiara sat on the floor, blood on her lip, smiling. "This isn't over, sister."

Lia didn't answer. She simply nodded.

The hallway was a disaster zone — papers scattered, lockers dented, benches overturned — yet Section E walked out victorious.
