Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: The Second Simulation Ends

In the third year, the overall strength of the Goblin encampment increased significantly. Many Goblins surpassed Level 5, with Jerry progressing the fastest. He reached Level 11, becoming the second strongest in the encampment and utterly loyal to you. As the tribe leader, you enjoyed the best resources and were the most diligent Goblin. This year, your level increased to 17, your Critical Strike reached max level, and you successfully comprehended Lethal Strike Lv.1. Additionally, due to rigorous daily training, you developed the skill Strong Lv.1.

Your robust physique set you apart from average Goblins, and your physical quality far surpassed theirs. You became a handsome Goblin, attracting many female Goblins. However, your aesthetic preferences remained unchanged, and you rejected their advances, avoiding mirrors altogether.

In the fourth year, you broke through to Level 20, Lethal Strike reached Lv.2, and Strong reached Lv.6. You sensed that upgrading from a normal template to an Elite-level template might be linked to skill mastery—either acquiring more skills or elevating skill levels to a certain degree.

Realizing this, you began experimenting. Previously, through rigorous training, you acquired the Strong skill. You hypothesized that extensive practical combat could lead to combat-related skills.

In the fifth year, although you didn't advance to an Elite-level template, extensive training and combat increased Strong to Lv.Max, and Lethal Strike to Lv.4. You felt joy at your growing strength but were troubled by other matters.

As the Goblin tribe grew, the valley's monster population dwindled rapidly. Your tribesmen raised concerns, and you realized the tribe's power severely impacted the valley's ecological balance. Thus, you began specializing the Goblins.

The tribe gained professions such as herding, farming, and fishing. Goblins disinterested in combat found sustenance through these roles, while those inclined to fight became warriors, leading to a thriving community.

In the sixth year, extensive combat granted you the special skill, Combat Instinct Lv.1. Strong didn't evolve into a new skill, and Lethal Strike increased to Lv.5. You sensed you were nearing an Elite-level threshold, but something external seemed missing.

In the seventh year, your strength improved slightly, but skill levels remained unchanged. You experimented with various methods, initially believing magic crystals held the breakthrough. Consuming large amounts of magic crystals left you wounded from the violent energy within.

Realizing magic crystals weren't the key, you pursued other avenues. While still healing, a Human Adventurer Squad stumbled into the valley. Without needing to act, your tribesmen easily defeated them. They reported this incident to you.

Concerned for the tribe's future, you recognized the valley, though secluded, wasn't undiscoverable. This time it was an ordinary squad, but what if a stronger one came?

Facing this dilemma, you had to choose.

Option One: After recovering, migrate out of the valley to find a new habitat.

Option Two: Dismiss it as an accident and continue as usual.

Option Three: Establish strict outposts to monitor the valley continuously.

Option Two was out of the question; inaction wasn't your style. Option One, relocating, might not yield a better habitat than this. Option Three seemed reliable. Preparing for potential crises naturally required preventive measures, aligning with your approach.

"System, select Option Three."

Upon learning of the human incursion, your sense of crisis heightened. You trained a group of scouts, prioritizing them over combat units. Personally instructing them, you established a competent scout group within six months.

In the eighth year, a human clad in armor discovered a scout and followed them to the valley. Though his strength wasn't exceptional, he was adept at combating Goblins, single-handedly annihilating the tribe. You died.

Simulation ended. Overall rating: 93.

As an ordinary Goblin, you were a great chieftain, worthy of historical record. As a transmigrator, you were relatively unsuccessful, unable to defeat a native human.

Please choose a reward from the following options.

Option One: Level up by one level, costs 10 points, repeatable.

Option Two: Critical Strike level up by one level, costs 4 points, repeatable.

Option Three: Gain skill Strong Lv.1, costs 20 points.

Option Four: Gain skill Combat Instinct Lv.1, costs 50 points.

Option Five: Gain talent Azure Vision, costs 5 points.

Seeing the increased evaluation points required for skills, Gobulo wasn't surprised. Higher levels naturally meant higher costs.

"System, choose Options Three, Four, and Five. Use remaining points to increase Critical Strike level."

Gained skill Strong Lv.1, gained skill Combat Instinct Lv.1, gained talent Azure Vision, Critical Strike level increased to Lv.9.

Upon receiving the system's prompts, Gobulo's body visibly transformed. His previously slender limbs thickened, his potbelly vanished, and he appeared much more coordinated. His eyes became clearer, giving the impression of nobility.

He sensed something new in his mind, likely the effect of Combat Instinct.

He chose not to level up this time, as he couldn't break through to Elite-level. He suspected higher levels would increase the magic crystals required for simulations. Contemplating this, he directly inquired.
