Chapter 26 – The Plan Takes Shape
Arin leaned against the wall, his eyes closed as he caught his breath. Kiran and his companions stood around him, their faces etched with concern.
"I'm okay," Arin said, opening his eyes. "Just a little shaken up."
Lyra nodded. "We'll get you to a safe place soon. But first, we need to know what happened. How did the Syndicate find you?"
Arin's expression turned grim. "I was betrayed. One of our own members had been working with the Syndicate. They knew everything – our plans, our safe houses, our contacts."
Kiran's fire burned hotter at the thought of another traitor. "Who was it?" he demanded.
Arin's eyes locked onto Kiran's. "I'm not entirely sure. But I have a suspicion it might be someone close to us."
Kiran's mind was racing. Who could it be? He thought back to their interactions with their allies, trying to pinpoint anyone suspicious.
"We need to be careful," Lyra warned. "If there's a traitor among us, we can't trust anyone."
Kiran nodded. "We'll investigate and find out who it is. But first, we need to focus on taking down the Syndicate. We can't let them win."
Arin nodded, a determined look on his face. "I'm with you, Kiran. Let's take them down."
As they began to discuss their plan, Kiran's mind was filled with possibilities. They would gather their allies, gather intelligence, and launch a final attack on the Syndicate.
The battle was far from over, but Kiran was ready. He would not rest until the Syndicate was defeated and justice was served.
"Let's do this," Kiran said, his voice filled with determination. "Let's take down the Syndicate and bring peace to our city."
His companions cheered, their voices echoing through the night. The plan was set in motion, and nothing would stop them now.
