Chapter 16 - Dumped?

So, Takeshi means he wants me to be friends with that red-haired girl you mentioned?

Sister Mikoto's eyes couldn't help but dim, and she looked a bit forlorn, like a lost young animal.

Although she had been mentally prepared for this, she didn't expect it to come so quickly.

There was an insurmountable gap in their statuses; he was the clan leader's son, while she was just an ordinary member of the family.

It was already rare to know him, so how could she dare to ask for more?

But,

She was still so unwilling… "Yes."

After receiving Takeshi's affirmative reply, Sister Mikoto's eyes completely lost their sparkle, and she stood there stiffly like a soulless statue.

"Sister Mikoto? Sister Mikoto? Are you alright?"

Her state startled Takeshi, who thought, Kushina isn't some man-eating monster, so why are you so resistant?

"N-nothing…"

After a while, Sister Mikoto smiled faintly, raised her head, her eyes regaining some light, and her gaze towards Takeshi gradually became firm.

"I understand, Takeshi, I'll help you!"

As if making a major decision, she exhaled deeply.

Since she couldn't stand by him now, she would become the one behind him!

Even if it meant helping him pursue other girls… it didn't matter, simply because it was his command.

Sister Mikoto was such an sensible girl; her experiences and environment from a young age had made her mature early, softening her personality and teaching her to care for and be considerate of others' emotions.

Perhaps, in terms of personality, her outcome was also predetermined.

Looking at Sister Mikoto, who had suddenly cheered up, Takeshi felt a bit bewildered and couldn't make sense of it.

However, he didn't think much of it. Since she had already said she would help, then there would definitely be no problem.

He knew Sister Mikoto's character well; she would never lie to him.

So far, everything seemed normal, proceeding according to his plan, and Takeshi was very satisfied with this.

"Takeshi, it looks like you've been dumped!"

As soon as the class bell rang, Minato started gossiping in his ear.

"I don't even have a girlfriend, so how can I be dumped?"

Takeshi rolled his Byakugan. The little sun now had a completely black heart; not a single word he said could be trusted.

"Kushina!" Minato pursed his lips, signaling him to look to the other side:

"Look, ever since Kushina made new friends, she doesn't even bother with you anymore!"

Takeshi followed the direction and saw two figures standing not far away.

One was Kushina,

The other was Sister Mikoto, whom Takeshi had asked to be good friends with a few days ago.

Seeing this scene, he not only didn't feel unhappy but even felt relieved.

The two now looked as intimate as good sisters, chatting and laughing, and the little girl seemed very happy. She wasn't lonely anymore!

Finally, she wouldn't bother him again!

Takeshi exhaled with a sense of relief.

Now, he could also safely begin his bloodline research experiments.

However, before that, he first needed to become familiar with the various acupoints of the human body, which was a prerequisite for activating the meridians and required a lot of clinical experience.

Fortunately, Takeshi was now Tsunade's disciple and a member of Konoha Hospital.

As long as he participated more in treating patients, he would naturally become proficient in acupoints, so there was no need to worry too much.

The rest could be left to time.

"Hmph, I don't want to be friends with that Bastard!"

At this moment, Kushina, leaning by the corridor, suddenly puffed up her little head arrogantly, putting on an indifferent expression.

Although Sister Mikoto had told her many of Takeshi's good qualities, in her opinion, he was still that big bad guy who loved to tease her!

Unforgivable!

It was like this again, indeed.

Sister Mikoto looked at her newly made good friend with a troubled expression, her face full of worry.

To be honest, her feelings were complex.

Although she had initially approached her at Takeshi's request,

Over these past few days of interaction, she had genuinely grown fond of this somewhat fidgety little girl.

Perhaps out of self-preservation, Kushina often treated others with an overbearing attitude.

But Sister Mikoto knew that she didn't actually mean any harm; she just wasn't very good at interacting with others.

Behind those seemingly fierce words was all her genuine concern.

A person's personality is largely shaped by their environment.

The reason Kushina developed such a difficult personality was largely because she had witnessed the despair of her clan's annihilation, and then, before she could even stabilize her emotions, she arrived in a completely new and unfamiliar environment.

This caused her to become so wary, subconsciously saying things that went against her true feelings.

In Sister Mikoto's opinion, Kushina clearly wanted to be friends with Takeshi just now, but when the words reached her lips, she put on an indifferent demeanor.

She must be regretting it terribly in her heart right now!

She really was tsundere!

However, these issues were not a problem for Sister Mikoto.

In her view, the reason Kushina was still maintaining that attitude was simply because she didn't yet have a sufficient reason to take action.

As long as Sister Mikoto provided her with a perfect motive, then getting Kushina to take the initiative wouldn't be a problem.

So, Sister Mikoto then proceeded to tell Kushina all the wonderful things she knew about Takeshi.

Subtly influencing Kushina's feelings towards Takeshi.

This caused her good feelings for Takeshi to continuously increase in her heart, reaching an appropriate threshold.

Indeed, just as Sister Mikoto had thought, the method worked!

"W-well, if that's the case, then there's nothing I can do. I'm only agreeing out of pity for that Bastard, okay?"

Sister Mikoto looked at the blushing, flustered Kushina with a smile and nodded:

"Yes, I know."

As long as she agreed with Kushina, she wouldn't refuse. Sister Mikoto had already figured out the manual for handling Kushina.

Now that she had been successfully 'conquered,' Takeshi would surely be pleasantly surprised when he found out!

"Achoo~"

"What's wrong with you? Is it because Kushina is ignoring you, so you're getting sick from frustration?"

Takeshi gave Minato a speechless sidelong glance, then rubbed his nose and said:

"Maybe someone is thinking of me!"
