Chapter 5 : just simple day with some mysteries
After that conversation, I went to sleep.
But now the questions keep knocking in my mind.
Why didn't I ask them earlier—when he was right in front of me, saying "Ask anything you want."
I never even saw his father.
Does he have any family at all?
And if he does… where are they?
Ahhh! Forget it. I should sleep.
I closed my eyes—but again, it felt like someone was watching me…
Morning.
"Good morning, ma'am."
"Oh, good morning, Natasha."
"So, what are you going to do today?" Natasha asked with her usual small, beautiful smile.
"Like always—just passing time," I replied.
We both smiled.
"Alright," she said. "If you need anything, just call me."
"Okay."
"He didn't come today?"
I will ask Natasha, i call Natasha
She comes, yes mam
Wait—if I ask about him, it'll sound like I'm curious about him.
"Nothing," i said,
"Oh, I get it," she teased lightly. "Boss went for a meeting. He'll be back tonight."
"I wasn't going to ask that," I muttered, my face turning slightly red.
"Okay, ma'am," she laughed softly.
"Hey! Why are you laughing?" I asked, pretending to frown.
"Nothing," she said, still smiling. "Do you need anything else?"
"No."
"Alright then, I'll take my leave."
"Okay. I'm going to the library."
I studied for four hours—until almost five in the evening.
There were some comics nearby, so I decided to read one for a while.
A title caught my eye: "The Mystery of the Library."
This looks interesting, I thought.
Page One.
The book, in short:
I am trapped inside the library.
There's no other way out.
I find a strange book—and as soon as I pick it up, a hidden door opens.
Behind it lies a beautiful room.
Then a handsome man appears—kind and gentle.
He says he's been trapped in this library for years.
We fall in love, and live together happily ever after.
"Huh! Seriously?" I muttered. "How did they even get food? Did they really live their whole life inside a library?"
I chuckled. "What if something like that happened to me? A secret room, maybe? Hehehe. Though I doubt there's any handsome man waiting inside."
Still, curiosity got the better of me. I started looking around for anything that might open a hidden door—or reveal some secret passage.
Then I saw it—a hand sculpture hanging on the wall.
I touched it lightly.
And suddenly—
The hand moved.
The wall shifted, revealing not a door… but a staircase leading downwards.
A strange, heavy smell drifted upward.
My heart pounded.
"No way…" I whispered.
