"What are you doing, Sir Novarek?" Konradin met Alexandre's gaze.
"You know... violence is never an answer." Konradin pouted, clearly enjoying the effect he had on the man before him.
Alexandre was so pissed off by Konradin's audacity. As he stared into the soul of the Great Knight, he wanted to wipe off that smile with his fists. Alexandre realized that he was provoked on purpose and he had fallen for it.
The sight before Alexandre was just too beautiful to let go.
Lionel Konradin Mish, the Great Knight of Valen, the man who led Valen to war and always emerged victorious, the same man who had the kingdom's entire arms under his whim, was in this position.
Hands pinned over his head and completely at Xander's mercy or was he? A dozen possibilities flashed through Xander's mind—all violent.
"Sir Novarek, if you keep looking at me like that, I'll assume that you'd like to end me." Konradin smirked, making no attempt to free himself.
After a long stare...
"Apologies, Sir Konradin, for my outburst." He left Konradin's wrists, stepping back to create space between them.
"The Maple Palace will be ready to accommodate you." Alexandre adjusted his suit, walking back to his desk.
"Please see yourself out." He added before taking a seat.
Konradin smiled, adjusting his suit and his hair. "It was... fun meeting you today, Sir Novarek." He added before leaving the office.
Alexandre sighed pouring himself a glass of wine as he tried to forget the encounter with the Great Knight.
