Most members of the Extalia Guard Corps possess a much stronger physique and Magic Power than ordinary Transcenders.
Their most important duty is to protect the Queen, but in reality, they have no real enemies, and the Queen doesn't actually need protection.
So their usual responsibilities are maintaining order and punishing wrongdoers—there are bad eggs even among Transcenders.
Generally speaking, when a cat sees them, if not surrendering immediately, they would be frightened out of their wits, and as for humans without Magic, they are out of the question.
Therefore, they can be considered invincible.
It is rare to encounter someone like today who dares to disregard them. Such a person either despises them or is an extremely dangerous criminal.
No matter which one, they can't tolerate it.
The lawbreakers must know the Power of the Divine Envoy, confront them head-on, and capture them!
"You only have one choice, surrender now!"
Ten large cats, each as tall as a person, charged towards Natsu with swords raised.
Natsu actually wanted to fight them, but to quickly rescue his companions, he continued chanting a spell.
"Awooo!"
Just then, two Shadow Wolves emerged from the darkness, each biting the Deputy Captain's wrists, slamming him to the ground.
The Longsword flew out of his hand, stabbing into the ground.
"What is this? Wolves?" The Deputy Captain was shocked, his arm muscles tensed tightly, but struggling only made his wrists hurt more.
Blood flowed into the Shadow Wolves' mouths, dripping onto the ground below.
"Captain!"
Two soldiers on either side raised their swords to help, but two more Shadow Wolves leaped out, biting their wrists, slamming them down as well.
One wolf handling one soldier was a bit challenging because the soldiers could counterattack with their free hands.
The wolves and cats immediately tangled together, attacking each other with sharp teeth and claws.
The remaining two Shadow Wolves also found opportunities to pounce and engage with the soldiers.
The ambush by the Shadow Wolves put the soldiers at a slight disadvantage, but they immediately began to counterattack. Once they confirmed there were only six wolves, five soldiers who weren't bitten started helping their companions.
To their surprise, four unnoticed 'stones' beside them suddenly moved, sneaking up behind the soldiers, knocking down three soldiers with a punch each.
The fourth one missed its mark because a small Golem wasn't swift enough, only knocking away the opponent's sword.
The battle soon began to tip in favor of the wild creatures.
Dragged by the two wolves, the Deputy Captain sensed something was wrong and quickly shouted, "Retreat! Go back and seek aid from the Commander!"
Three soldiers who weren't entangled immediately sprouted wings, intending to fly into the sky.
However, suddenly six Ghosts swooped down from the sky, each pair yanking down the three soldiers who had just taken off.
"How dare you..."
The Golems, big and small, wouldn't listen to their babbling, rushing forward and knocking each one down with a single punch.
With this, the outcome was certain.
The 10-member squad of the Guard Corps was entirely left behind here.
Raki felt a chill down his spine, feeling that the actions of the Ghosts grabbing the cat were too familiar.
He shook his head, shook off the distracting thoughts, and focused on chanting spells.
Everyone's faces lit up with joy, feeling that if they persisted a while longer, they would succeed.
Rhode, however, felt uncomfortable, not expecting that even dealing with ten Transcenders required deploying troops and setting ambushes to capture them.
If there are more enemies next, they might have to deploy spiders and play dead again.
No, not 'if.' The ten-member squad sent out to investigate has been gone too long without returning, more will definitely come.
Rhode felt an increasing sense of urgency, but the Moon's Drop wasn't something he could speed up just by being anxious.
However, the good news was that Extalia's efficiency was a bit low; more than half an hour later, no new troops had come to investigate.
The Magic Crystal gradually shrank, eventually breaking into two parts, one slightly larger, one smaller, roughly appearing to be a person each.
Everyone was a bit surprised that such a large Magic Crystal, once restored, ended up being just two people?
Carla's expression suddenly turned unpleasant and a bit confused. She stopped chanting and gazed towards the center of Extalia, "I seem to see a legion flying toward us, but then I don't."
Initially, she thought Extalia had possibly transmitted some strange information to her, but would such a military operation really be communicated in advance?
Could they be planning to have her assist in capturing her companions?
Carla couldn't figure it out, and the others couldn't provide an answer either; they could only continue casting Magic.
Not long after Carla's warning, a Transcender legion indeed came flying from the horizon, numbering around sixty or seventy.
With poor visibility at night and the nearby moonlight being collected by the Moon's Drop, by the time this unit was seen, they were already quite close to each other.
The initial small squad evidently hadn't sent back any updates because this unit also paused to observe upon arrival.
When they saw humans around the purple light pillar and noticed the ten Transcender soldiers lying not too far away, someone drew their sword and loudly questioned:
"You dare trespass on Extalia territory, assaulting members of the Guard Corps! In the name of the Extalia Guard Corps Commander, I order you to lay down your weapons and surrender immediately!"
Even though he had resolved not to speak, upon seeing that familiar cat face and hearing that magnetic familiar voice, Rhode couldn't help but cry out, "Mr. Yiye?"
"What Mr. Yiye! I am the Guard Corps Commander Two Nights!" Two Nights raised his sword, positioned his arms horizontally across his chest in One Night's favorite pose, "MEN~~~"
Rhode, Lucy, Natsu, Wendy, Carla, and Hapi, who all knew One Night, showed odd expressions.
No one expected that unparalleled face of One Night's could still have a second.
Seeing a familiar face at a time like this was not a good thing, and they didn't know if this Two Nights before them was as formidable as that One Night.
Two Nights seemed to realize that these people didn't want to halt their peculiar ceremony, so he waved his hand, ordering his subordinates forward: "Arrest them, now!"
Sixty to seventy soldiers swooped down; this time they didn't land. Instead, they followed their formation's existing tiers and dove directly.
They were in big trouble!
Six Ghosts were the first to step in, each pair attacking an enemy, rolling them to the ground.
After crashing down, they didn't go further but once again floated into the air, choosing new targets to dive at.
Some immediately went to rescue their companions, only to face Shadow Wolves pouncing from the sides in mid-air and Golems swinging punches.
The Guard Corps' advance was slightly hindered, but mere 16 ordinary wild creatures couldn't hold them for long.
"Lucy, Sagittarius..."
Rhode had just begun to speak when he saw the two Magic Crystals within the purple light pillar emit white light, transforming into human shapes!
The Transcenders led by Two Nights were slightly surprised.
Meanwhile, Rhode and the others had already cheered for the two figures: "Erza! Gray!"
