Gray and Elfman tried stepping out the door and then walked back in, completely unaffected.
The two exchanged a glance, nodded, and then took hold of the President's shoulders and arms, one pushing from the inside and the other pulling from the outside, showing no courtesy to the President.
The old man was lifted off the ground by the duo, his entire body pressed against the barrier formed by the technique, unable to even extend a finger out.
"Stop! Stop it!" Makarov called for the two reckless kids to cut it out, "This is a technique. Even I can't forcefully break it from the inside."
The two let go of the President, allowing him to stand firmly on the ground.
Elfman complained: "This is Fried's magic, right? Even the old man can't do anything, is he that strong?"
"Because the rules of the technique are absolute, it's an excellent piece of magic on its own as a trap." Makarov pondered for a moment,
"However, technique magic itself is very difficult to learn. The fact that Fried can write a dual technique with material and age restrictions already far surpasses the level of most technique mages!"
Fried rarely appears in the guild; the last time he returned was half a year ago, making everyone in the guild not quite familiar with his abilities. Even Makarov didn't know much about his strength.
Who would have thought he had already become this strong.
To break the technique, only someone who also uses this kind of magic might be able to rewrite it.
But as the President said, it's a very hard-to-master magic, making it even harder to rewrite Fried's technique.
If Reby wasn't petrified, maybe there'd be hope, but no one else present has studied that kind of thing.
"That means the old man can't fight, nor can we send the statue to Granny Porlyusica." Gray looked at the remaining people in the guild.
Seeing Rhode, Mira, Elfman, and the just-standing Natsu, he felt slightly relieved. Not considering the many companions outside, just these people left in the guild still had some fight in them.
"Damn Laxus, don't think of running away!" Natsu jumped up, immediately full of energy again, noisily wanting to go out and confront Laxus.
Gray raised an arm to dissuade him: "Calm down, Natsu, it's already chaotic enough outside! Let's listen to what the President and Rhode have to say first."
"Oh." Surprisingly, Natsu stopped obediently.
But as soon as Gray lowered his arm, Natsu grinned triumphantly and dashed towards the door: "Ahahaha... I'm going to defeat Laxus now, the strongest in the guild has to be me... oof!"
With a bang, Natsu - like the President - crashed into the invisible wall.
In mid-air, words flashed: the same rule as before: "No statues or people over 80 years old may enter or exit."
"Why?!" Natsu strained to move forward, cheeks squished, but couldn't proceed even an inch.
Everyone in the guild was taken aback, wondering if there were more restriction conditions. But only that one rule floated up.
Gray, exasperated, said: "You fool, why are you playing around at a time like this?"
"How am I supposed to know?!" Natsu punched the wall in frustration, causing mysterious characters to appear.
Hapi flew over, astonished: "Natsu, have you already surpassed 80 years old?"
"Impossible!" Natsu loudly retorted, but seeing the other condition, he exclaimed in shock, "Could I be a statue?"
Elfman denied: "Though statues are manly, it's obviously not possible."
"Cheeheehee... so useless, Fire Dragon." Gajeel tossed the remaining spoon handle into his mouth and, with one hand on the table, elegantly vaulted over it, "If the Fire Dragon is out, then I'll take the lead."
This guy never got along with Natsu, always taking a jab at him with every word he spoke.
"Bastard, who're you calling useless?!" Natsu immediately wanted to start a brawl with him.
Gray hooked an arm around Natsu's neck to stop him from acting rashly, while Elfman advised, "You calm down too."
Elfman thought they should listen to their brother-in-law.
"Heh..." Gajeel glanced back at Rhode, "Don't get me wrong, I don't intend to help, so I won't follow the 'Military Advisor's' commands. I just happen to have a score to settle with that blonde brat."
"Isn't hitting him now within the guild rules? Time to settle the score from last time too." Gajeel said as he started to walk forward, "You all just watch and... whoa!"
However, just like Natsu, he crashed head-first into the invisible wall and couldn't step out of the guild.
Everyone was taken aback again: "Huh?"
"Why?"
"Gajeel too?"
Only Natsu laughed his head off: "Ahahah! You can't get out either! Useless guy!"
The words he'd just said were thrown back at him, making Gajeel's face flush with anger.
In a fit of rage, he pounded on the 'wall': "What's going on here?"
Wolian, Laki, and Lidas went to try as well, finding no obstruction going out or returning.
Rhode had been worried about his age, but after trying, he found no issues either.
It seemed only Natsu and Gajeel had problems.
Those two didn't look like people over 80, nor could they be statues.
Their most distinctive trait was being Dragon Slayer Mages. Had Fried secretly made a restriction on that?
But there was no time to think about this now, as new words appeared in the air by the guild's front door.
"Alzack vs Sarusuk vs Troy."
