Chapter 265 - Chapter 264: Natsu: Let's Settle This, Mira!

To the guild members, that familiar domineering aura and the palpable sense of pressure brought by Magic Power were all declaring, 'Demon Mira is back!'

Many who had been beaten swallowed hard; this made sense now why she took the initiative to confess to Rhode.

"Oh~~ Mira has completely turned back to how she was before!"

Natsu was the most visibly happy, sharing similar wounds with Mira and Elfman, yet he was also one of those hoping the two would move forward.

"Let's have a showdown, Mira!" Natsu had his own way of expressing himself.

"Is this the time?"

Did this idiot not know how to pick his timing? Gray looked at the vines temporarily serving as walls; they hadn't even finished discussing the guild's destruction, not to mention Mira's recovery.

"It's now. I've gotten a lot stronger, and I'm about to beat you to become S-Class!"

Flames ignited on Natsu's fist, and without waiting for Mira's consent, he rushed forward eagerly.

Rhode didn't even bother to stop him.

Mira's figure disappeared, and in the next moment, Natsu's head was being pressed into the floor.

Mira pressed down on the back of Natsu's head with one hand and gently touched her cheek with the other, tenderly seeking Natsu's opinion.

"Sorry, Natsu, please don't make me show that delinquent side of me from before, okay?"

Hapi quietly muttered, "It's already come out."

Natsu's arm flopped twice before lying flat on the floor: "Love..."

Now he confirmed with his head that this was the Mira who used to clash with Erza.

Everyone else confirmed it too; just like Erza, she took Natsu down in one move. Indeed, the demon was back.

Rhode felt that Natsu's fighting power fluctuated too much.

Not to mention that he had been training hard for a while, having consumed that special Black Flame, he should have grown much stronger.

Judging by Natsu's performance just now, this power was not even as strong as when they teamed up to fight the demon the last time.

Maybe Rhode's contemplative expression made everyone misunderstand something.

Macao and Wakaba patted Rhode on the shoulder, shook their heads like they had been through it before, and walked away.

Suddenly, many people felt that if it were that Mirajane, they weren't that envious of Rhode.

After showcasing her magic, Mira returned to her original form and lightly walked back to Rhode's side, still in a gentle demeanor:

"Anyway, that's it, my Magic Power has been restored, and during yesterday's spar with Rhode, I accidentally messed up the guild. Sorry, President."

"Ahahaha..." Natsu caught the keywords 'spar with Rhode' and immediately cheered up, "So Rhode got beaten too! Hahaha!"

Rhode glanced at him, saying nothing. Laugh all you want, after getting beaten, I got a lap pillow; all you get is sore knees.

"Sorry, President." Rhode apologized alongside Mira.

"What's the big deal, it's a good thing!"

If the guild was trashed by outsiders, they might have to investigate who struck, understand the reasons, and then decide on subsequent actions.

But if it's their own people smashing the guild... then it's no big deal.

The onlookers dispersed by more than half; there's nothing strange about one's own people destroying the guild.

Makarov cleared his throat and formally spoke:

"Since that's the case, I hereby announce that from today on, we are reinstating Mirajane Strauss as an S-Class Mage!"

The popularity Mira had previously accumulated was still there, and a cheer erupted within the guild.

Everyone suddenly realized that the guild seemed to have grown even stronger.

Kildas, Laxus, Erza, Mirajane, Mystogan — unbelievably five S-Class Mages at once!

(Mystogan became S-Class after the incident with Lisana, so before that, they only had four at a time.)

If you also count Natsu who has been gaining reputation lately, and Gray who has always been evenly matched with Natsu.

Along with Rhode and Elfman...

It feels like Fairy Tail is crazily powerful now.

Most importantly, among these people, a large portion is the youth.

Macao and Wakaba, these old-timers couldn't help but sigh:

"It feels like the younger generation suddenly grew up."

"Yeah, the future of the guild is looking more and more promising."

Meanwhile, two 'futures' were miserably fixing the guild.

Rhode was actually quite a novice in this regard, having destroyed the guild less often and with fewer opportunities to practice.

Actually, he didn't really want to do this kind of thing either.

Mira, on the other hand, seemed rather enthusiastic, looking at her calmly sawing wood, stacking stones, and plastering, she appeared completely at ease:

"It's been a long time since I've done this; it's a bit nostalgic."

"You didn't do this often before, did you?"

Rhode recalled flipping through the guild album and learning that Mira used to be a problematic girl.

"Occasionally, back then, I often repaired walls with Erza. Sometimes we'd compete while fixing to see who did a better job. Sometimes we'd suddenly start fighting and then have to redo it again."

Mira's habitual face-touching move made her look like a little tabby cat.

Rhode reached out to wipe the mud and plaster off her face, but his hand wasn't clean either, so he only made it worse.

So Rhode decided to keep wiping, and as he wiped, he couldn't help but laugh.

"Oh, you're being naughty!" Mira smudged her hands on his face in return.

They suddenly began to play-fight, like kindergarteners over something silly.

Those who previously weren't too envious of Rhode suddenly felt a twinge of envy again.

Meanwhile, Makarov was a bit frantic.

He sat on the counter table flipping through stack after stack of documents, irritably scratching his thinning hair: "Why is there so much work at the start of the month?"

Laki thoughtfully explained to the president: "Because the person who usually does these things for you is now making stones form a regular structure."

You mean building walls, right?

"...Makes sense," Makarov found that he hadn't managed guild affairs for quite some time.

Except for meetings and writing reviews, he almost forgot he was the president.

Rather than doing that work, Makarov would prefer helping them build walls.

He looked out through the yet-to-be-repaired door... were those two really building walls?

"Laki." Makarov sighed, "Please help with the woodwork."

Who knows when those two would finish. Youth is really something.

Are they going to fix it or not?

"Yes~"

Laki was quite willing to help Sister Mira, but she certainly intended to ask Rhode for compensation afterward.

The guild's yard was not small, and Rhode and Mira worked until the afternoon but hadn't finished the wall.

But the president called them back ahead, saying he wanted to stretch his muscles and would take care of the rest.

Rhode tried to refuse but to no avail; before he finished speaking, the president pushed him away.

He couldn't understand what the president was thinking, competing with young people for manual labor at his age.
