The casino run by the Sixth Street Gang is always bustling with business.
After Mercer casually used the gasoline from the car to set fire to the two-story building the Sixth Street Gang used for drug manufacturing, he took Rebecca to a place near the casino.
Without needing to enter, just standing at the entrance and seeing the two burly bodyguards and the wide variety of expensive cars parked outside, one could tell how prosperous the business was here.
Mercer didn't park the car right at the entrance, but instead drove around to the back of the building and stopped the car there.
Rebecca opened the car door again, or to be accurate, this time she directly took the door off, making it impossible to put it back on.
So, she could only blink her big innocent eyes at Mercer, holding up the car door.
"Just leave it here. I'll have Polaris bring our car later for a quicker getaway. We can leave this car here. I'll ask Old Captain to send someone to pick it up, and if not, we'll just abandon it."
After Mercer finished speaking, Rebecca confidently shoved the car door back in with force. The bulletproof door creaked and finally wedged into the car side.
Luckily, to avoid drawing attention, Mercer had chosen a cheap car this time, so he wasn't heartbroken about damaging it.
"So what's next? Are we going to charge straight in?" Rebecca seemed a bit impatient.
Mercer shook his head and said, "There are still a lot of gamblers inside. Let's try not to injure them unnecessarily. Let's see if we can deal with the security first, then make it quick."
Rebecca nodded: "I'll follow your lead!"
After standing up, Mercer looked around the building and finally rested his gaze on the back door.
He walked to the back door, and his prosthetic eye gleamed. With just a breath, the back door opened—it hid the control panel inside, but Mercer's prosthetic eye could see through to the network signal.
For a hacker like Mercer, the security system of such a door was meaningless.
Entering through the back door, after just two steps, he saw a burly man standing guard in the hallway. Upon seeing them, his eyes widened slightly, but before he could speak, Rebecca shot out like the wind and punched him in the jaw.
She held back her strength, not slamming him against the wall with one blow, but even then, his body went limp, his attempted cry snagged in his throat, his head nearly twisted all the way around, his neck making a cracking sound, and he collapsed helplessly to the floor.
"Nicely done," Mercer praised. "You're pretty fast too."
"Of course, even if I can't match V's Sianwistan, I'm not far off," Rebecca smiled, then stood sneakily at the corridor's edge and took a look around.
"No one there," she said, meanwhile dragging the body of the bouncer to the back door.
Mercer nodded, his prosthetic eye scanning around, checking each piece of equipment there, finally finding a surveillance camera at the end of the corridor to hack into.
Easily hacking into the security server connected to other cameras from the surveillance camera, Mercer quickly switched perspectives, scanning through the scenes available, confirming the general situation of the casino.
Mercer explained briefly: "William James should be hiding on the second floor, the vault is likely behind the private room exchanging chips on the first floor. We'll deal with William first, then take care of the security from the second floor down, let him open the vault, and grab the money and go."
Rebecca moved ahead with the gun in her hand, her short legs walking quite swiftly, Mercer reached out and grabbed her by the collar: "Slow down, don't rush."
"Oh, okay!" she agreed, slowing her pace.
"Don't get too excited," Mercer said reassuringly.
Rebecca made a sound of agreement, then said nothing more, only pressing her lips tightly together. As they got closer to William James, more and more memories surged in her mind.
Even many details Rebecca thought she had forgotten gradually surfaced in her brain at this moment.
"Around the corner, two of them."
Mercer suddenly pressed his hand on her shoulder, Rebecca took a deep breath, refocused her attention, nodded, and then tiptoed to the corner of the corridor.
She looked back at Mercer, and seeing him nod, Rebecca darted forward as if teleporting, the strength from the Frenzy System allowing her to accelerate her body with even greater ferocity.
This kind of acceleration was not as graceful as V's, but to an ordinary person, her speed was already so fast that it was hard to see clearly.
With two muffled sounds, Mercer peered his head out, and the two bouncers guarding the stairs at the corner from the Sixth Street Gang had already collapsed on the ground in awkward positions, bones unknown how many were broken.
Mercer signaled Rebecca to drag the bouncer's bodies up, and she grabbed one in each hand, pulling the two twisted men up the stairs. Upon reaching the corridor on the second floor, they only saw a sturdy bouncer's head smoking, lying limp in the hallway.
Rebecca gave a thumbs up, casually throwing the bouncers she was holding onto the second-floor corridor: "Where is he?"
"I have to check each place."
Mercer said as he scanned each door with his prosthetic eye down the hallway.
Besides offices, the second floor of the casino had some VIP rooms, and at that moment, you could still hear one being used, with gamblers' loud shouts ringing out from inside.
Mercer just glanced over it and skipped this VIP room, directly sealing the automatic door with the Magic Puppet Program to prevent them from suddenly coming out and causing trouble.
