Chapter 368 - Chapter 321: Reigning Over Kovennus Castle

Under normal circumstances.

The moment Hawk leaves New York City, the next second Sharon's call would be on Gwen's phone.

But not this time.

The reason is simple.

Before Hawk's Little Cosmos has elevated to Golden Cosmos, its speed hasn't surpassed light speed and can thus be detected by the S.H.I.E.L.D. Satellite for energy fluctuations.

But now his speed has surpassed the light speed.

Until—

Hawk's figure appeared above Paris in 0.02 seconds, precisely 19.5 milliseconds later, and his energy fluctuation was finally captured by the worldwide S.H.I.E.L.D. Satellite.

In an instant.

The energy signature of code name "Phoenix" suddenly appeared above Paris, and the messages were instantly caught and sent to New York S.H.I.E.L.D Central by the "Day Eight Intelligent System".

Then!

Sitting in her father George's office, Gwen looked at Sharon's incoming call on the phone, chuckled, and then connected the call.

"Gwen Stacy."

"Sharon."

"Hawk went to Paris because of the vampires, you know, regarding Mr. Andrew Chloe's issue."

"Hmm, it's related to vampires."

"I'm in the Twenty-First District."

"Alright."

Gwen hung up the phone, and facing the gaze of her father George, she curved her lips into an elegant arc.

"Dad, you need to transfer this case out."

"..."

Levitating over the night skies of Paris, Hawk looked down at Paris below, especially when he set his eyes on a particular building, he always had a sense of déjà-vu, like watching a certain bird in an opening scene.

But he didn't look for long.

As soon as the Seventh Sense enveloped Paris, Hawk disappeared again, and when he reappeared, he was standing at the gates of Kovinus Manor.

Logically speaking, the two detectives and the officer who investigated Andrew Chloe's case are in New York City and nearby areas, so he doesn't need to bother going all the way to Paris.

But…

Hawk didn't bother with routine procedures.

Once more.

This is not about playing detective or puzzle games.

As soon as someone shows up, it's instant action!

Given that Kovinus revealed himself first, he couldn't care less whether Kovinus was aware of it.

In short.

Fight now, ask questions later.

Suddenly appearing in front of Kovinus Manor Castle gates, Hawk immediately drew the attention of the guards patrolling back and forth in front of the estate.

"Hey, over there."

"Standing there, what's your business, do you know what this place is?"

Two vampire guards patrolling together, upon seeing Hawk, immediately shouted and aggressively charged towards him.

Of course.

Speed is relative.

In Hawk's eyes, the two vampire guards charging aggressively were moving as slow as turtles.

"Buzz!"

"Phoenix Beam!"

Accompanied by two blistering pure golden beams emitted from his eyes, the two vampire guards were vaporized on the spot.

Next second.

The alarm of Kovinus Castle Manor rang out piercingly.

Hawk, hands in pockets, perceiving with the Seventh Sense a large number of vampires emerging from all corners of the castle as the alarm rang, stood calmly, stepped forward with his right foot, and disappeared from sight.

Inside the main building of the castle.

Dressed in a sophisticated dark suit, despite his white hair combed meticulously, his face pale yet with sharp eyes, resembling an ancient noble that lived for centuries, Elias Corvinus, under the escort of a dozen elite vampire guards, emerged from a side corridor.

"What's going on."

"Someone's attacking the castle."

"Harvester?"

"No."

"Then it is..."

"Boom!"

"Me."

Just as Elias Corvinus had yet to finish his conversation with his Captain of Guards, Hawk, having swept through Kovinus Castle Manor in less than three minutes, appeared at the door without breaking a sweat.

The captain of the guards and his vampire men, fangs exposed, snarled as they prepared to rush at Hawk.

But…

Hawk lifted his right hand and snapped his fingers.

Snap!

Whether it was the captain of the guards or his vampire men, they all froze in place, bodies motionless, only their eyes moving about wildly, filled with terror and anxiety.

Elias Corvinus, however, remained relatively calm.

Seeing Hawk arrive, Elias Corvinus, who didn't think of fleeing, cast his gaze upon Hawk, speaking with a low tone tinged with the unique grace of a noble.

"Who are you."

"Phoenix, Hawk Phoenix."

Hawk glanced at Elias Corvinus, who didn't plan to escape, beckoned, and drew a chair towards his rear, then sat on it, facing Elias Corvinus: "Or, you can call me, Hawk Chloe!"

Listening to Hawk's introduction, Elias Corvinus's equally pale eyebrows furrowed heavily.

"Never heard of you."

"Bruce Jerry!"

"Andor Yager!"

"Joruno Bruno."

Reclining on the chair, Hawk recited the names of the vampires and blood servants he got from George.

Elias Corvinus's eyebrows remained furrowed.

"Still haven't heard."

"You haven't heard of it, but someone has."

George's lips curled up, his gaze instantly shifted to the bald vampire, frozen in place, whose serious expression now revealed a flicker of fear upon hearing those three names.

Elias Corvinus also followed George's gaze.

"Carter!"

"Heh."

George's mind moved, releasing the bald vampire named Carter from his restraints.

The next second.

The bald vampire Carter, without any hesitation, roared and transformed into a black light, sweeping towards the outside of the castle.

In just a blink of an eye, he ran three kilometers outside the castle.

George's lips curled up.

Elias Corvinus frowned, looking at George, who sat motionless on the chair.

Just as he was about to speak.

George snapped his fingers.

Snap!

Instantly.

The vampire Carter, who had run five kilometers outside the castle, was directly captured by George's Seventh Sense, then teleported back to the castle.

The next second.

George's telekinesis was like a blade.

"Thud!"

"Thud!"

"Ah—!!"

Accompanied by the vampire Carter's screams, his legs below the knees were severed, and with a thud, fell to the ground like a potted plant.

George, sitting on the chair, supported his chin with one hand, crossed his legs, and looked mockingly at the screaming vampire Carter before turning his gaze to Elias Corvinus: "Who is he?"

Elias Corvinus glanced at the vampire Carter whose legs were severed.

"Carter, my deputy."

"Your deputy is undermining you, Mr. Corvinus."

George said calmly, ignoring Corvinus's unpleasant expression, then released the telekinetic restraints on the Corvinus guard captain and other vampires, glanced at his watch, and then looked back at Corvinus.

"Considering you were unaware."

"I'll give you a chance."

"You have ten minutes."

"Provide me with the information I want."

"Once ten minutes are up, either you give me an explanation, or I'll demand one myself."

"..."

George finished speaking, looking calmly at Corvinus.

Corvinus's expression shifted then he signaled to the guard captain.

The latter understood, quickly walked to the vampire Carter, firmly grabbed his head, and dragged him toward the side building.

George leaned back in the chair, resting his eyes.

Corvinus, standing before George, watched him with closed eyes, afraid to make any unnecessary moves.

He was a pure-blood vampire.

Arrogant.

But not foolish, they quickly wiped out all the vampires in his castle, such people were not to be provoked.

So...

Even though George now had his eyes shut, he dared not move.

As for escape?

Where to run? Didn't he see that just a moment ago, vampire Carter ran far away, only to be snapped back with a finger?

The clock ticked on.

Soon.

Eight minutes later, the bloodied guard captain, dragging Carter like a dead dog, returned from the side building.

Thud!

The guard captain threw the barely breathing, with little left vampire Carter to the ground, then moved beside Corvinus and quickly recounted what he heard from Carter in those eight minutes.

Corvinus's expression shifted as the guard captain spoke.

It was quite a spectacle.

Almost like a painting workshop.

Just then.

George, resting with eyes closed in the chair, opened his eyes, looked at Corvinus: "Time's up, Mr. Corvinus, can you give me the explanation I want?"

Corvinus, upon hearing this, met George's eyes.

"Bruce, Andor, they were converted by Carter nineteen years ago."

"Carter was acting on someone's orders."

"As for who it was, Chuck tried everything, but Carter wouldn't spill."

"As for Bruce and Andor's whereabouts."

"Two months ago, they were arranged by Carter to join the Blood Pack Squad and head to New York City."

"The Vampire Council there was wiped out by Blade."

"They went to reclaim New York City's territory."

"The Blood Pack Squad's captain is Reinhardt, I can get him a message to capture Bruce and Andor."

"..."

George did not interrupt, waiting calmly for Corvinus to finish before looking at him.

"Is there more?"

"That's all the information."

"Heh."

George chuckled softly, seemingly helpless.

"I give you opportunities."

"Why do you never cherish them."
