"It won't, Your Majesty. I promise." Astrid assured Vivian then she carefully raised one of her hands above the table with her palm facing up.
Then slowly, her fingertips began to feel really cold and a tiny whirlwind of frost began to spin just above her palm until it turned into a single snowflake.
The snowflake had a crystalline appearance that made it shimmer and shine brightly. Then it hovered above Astrid's hand before landing gently on the back of Lily's hand.
Seeing this, the beautiful dragon princess gasped as her eyes sparkled even brighter than a jewel.
"Aww, it's so pretty. I love it." Lily whispered in a soft voice as she stared at the snowflake, fearing that it might melt or vanish away.
But it didn't.
