Chapter 138 - Chapter 138: Overwhelming Power

Alice had been feeling confused lately, as many people had recently told her that the Diabolos Cult was not a real organization.

If only one or two people had said such things, Alice might have suspected them of being members of The Order.

But many outstanding individuals in various fields had told her the same thing.

The Order, as an organization, did not exist.

For this, Alice sought out her father to ask him.

Her father also denied the existence of The Order.

Alice wanted to discuss other matters with her father.

But he refused her.

As Alice's thoughts were in disarray, someone knocked on the door.

"Princess Alice!"

It was the Vice-Captain of the Crimson Knight Order.

It was not the Red-haired middle-aged uncle from before.

This man had been promoted step by step from the bottom to Vice-Captain due to his strength and high work efficiency.

The Crimson Knight Order was now very large, and one Red-haired middle-aged uncle alone as Vice-Captain could no longer handle everything.

The Red-haired middle-aged uncle's combat ability was decent, but his efficiency in handling matters was not as good as Habu's.

Alice had spent a long time with him and confirmed that he could be trusted.

"Princess Alice, this is all the information I've gathered recently. Many people admitted they falsely claimed to be part of The Order; they were coerced by Shadow Garden! They used their families to threaten them into doing such things!"

Currently, Alice only knew that Sino was very strong, but she did not know about Sino's connection to Shadow Garden.

Of course, Alexia didn't know either.

Alice looked at the evidence laid out before her, and her heart wavered.

Every time The Order appeared, members of Shadow Garden also appeared.

And in the past, when Shadow Garden did not appear, The Order also did not appear.

If she thought about the problem from this perspective, everything seemed to fall into place.

People only believe what they want to believe.

Alice's hatred for Shadow Garden surpassed her hatred for The Order.

Tracing these two organizations had cost her a lot of manpower and resources, but the result was nothing.

She hadn't obtained any information.

All sorts of irritability emotions made her feel physically and mentally exhausted.

At this moment, people kept telling her that The Order did not exist, and it was all a conspiracy of Shadow Garden.

This Just right broke through her psychological defense at Alice's most vulnerable moment.

As the investigation deepened, more and more evidence pointed to Shadow Garden.

"Shadow Garden, you scoundrels who plague the Midgar Kingdom, I will not let you go!" Alice declared.

Alice was very proud; she had always avoided Sino, preventing direct contact with him.

She only trusted her own strength and was unwilling to let Sino teach her anything.

She wanted to draw a clear line with Sino.

"Princess Alice, Princess Alexia requests an audience!" Vice-Captain Habu said.

"Let Alexia in!"

"Sister, I've been investigating matters at the academy recently, and I've found that everything is related to The Order!"

"Alexia, you need to be clear-headed. The Order does not exist; it's all a conspiracy of Shadow Garden!"

"Huh?"

Alexia looked at her sister, feeling a sense of unfamiliarity.

"Have you forgotten about Jeno and Vice-Dean Ruslan? They both said they were members of The Order!"

"People lie, don't they? What if a powerful entity kidnapped their families and forced them to say that?" Alice said.

"Princess Alice, why do you think that?"

"Because it's the truth!" Alice looked sharply at Alexia.

"Princess Alexia, you must have been deceived by Shadow Garden! They are an organization attempting to overthrow the world. Think about that huge crater in the Royal Capital; they destroyed houses, leaving countless people homeless! Are they good people?" Vice-Captain Habu said.

"Princess Alexia, I know the truth is hard for you to accept! But this is all evidence!"

Vice-Captain Habu took out several documents.

They were filled with accounts of individuals being threatened by Shadow Garden and forced to pretend to be members of the Diabolos Cult.

"You think I'm a fool, with these documents that can be easily fabricated?" Alexia glared at Vice-Captain Habu and pressed him.

"My father is a marquis, a very excellent marquis. I used his connections to investigate nearly twenty years of data, spending a lot of his network, and found not a shred of information about the Diabolos Cult!"

"But ever since Shadow Garden appeared, the Diabolos Cult organization began to be active in the Midgar Kingdom!"

"Isn't this causal relationship clear?"

"There's no smoke without fire. Shadow Garden always appears with The Order. Don't you think it's all too coincidental?"

Vice-Captain Habu's words, one after another, made Alice completely trust him.

"Enough, Alexia, I know it's hard for you to accept, but Shadow Garden is just such an organization! Don't be deceived by them!" Alice said to Alexia.

"Sister, this is the first time you've made me feel so unfamiliar!" Alexia said, looking at Alice.

"It must be because of you, fellow!" She turned her spearhead towards Vice-Captain Habu.

Habu tried to resist, but it was too late.

Alexia's fist landed squarely on his face.

Habu coughed up blood, and both his nostrils bled.

"Cough, cough, cough, Princess Alexia, if hitting me makes you feel better, then please vent as much as you like!" Vice-Captain Habu said.

"You..." Alexia was infuriated by his 'green tea' act.

Alice drew her magic sword and stood in front of Alexia.

"Alexia, you can't continue to be so reckless!"

Alexia felt like she had punched a pillow.

She failed to expose that fellow's true colors to her sister and even incurred her sister's resentment.

"Cough, cough, cough! It's all my fault. Please, Princess Alexia, forgive me!" Vice-Captain Habu said.

At this moment, Princess Alexia had a murderous intent towards Habu.

"Alexia, are you rebelling!" Alice's shout sobered Alexia considerably.

"Force cannot solve all problems! She couldn't solve the problem in front of her!"

"Hoo~!" Alexia exhaled, calming herself down.

"Pretending to be someone else, I used to do this often, it's nothing!" Alexia thought to herself.

"I'm sorry, I got carried away just now. I misunderstood you. Let me take you to the infirmary!"

Alexia showed a fake smile.

Habu's face was a bit grim.

He wasn't afraid of Alexia losing her temper; he was afraid of Alexia apologizing like this.

A tiger is not scary, but a hidden tiger is.

When it attacks, that one strike is enough to be fatal.

Alexia's strength had already far exceeded The Order's expectations.

She could still be so patient.

"I can take Habu to the infirmary, Alexia!" Alice said.

Alexia had just hit Habu, and now she was going to take him to the infirmary; it wouldn't look good. It was better for Alice to take him.

Alice and Habu went to the infirmary, leaving Alexia alone.

"Being stubborn solves nothing! Just having strength isn't enough; I still need information!"
