Chapter 533 - Chapter 291: The Division of Dragon Island and the Divine Domain Level Dragonite on the Island

After arriving at Dragon Island, the most crucial factor is time. He hasn't fully explored the size of the island yet, but it shouldn't be too small. It's practically impossible to explore the entire island in just three days, especially with powerful Pokemon that have territorial awareness roaming around.

Engaging them would take additional time, unless you're intent on capturing those Pokemon.

However, on Dragon Island, you only have the chance to capture one Pokemon. Once you've captured one, you cannot capture another.

The Pokeballs they carry are specially made by the Dragon Taming Race, and the capture status is visible on them. So, even though you have more than one Pokeball, releasing a captured Pokemon because you're dissatisfied is not an option.

You only have one chance to capture a Pokemon. Once you've chosen and captured it, you cannot release it.

Therefore, when selecting a Pokemon, they must be extra cautious. No one wants to waste their slot, which they earned through hard efforts, by making a careless decision.

At the very least, they need to see as many Pokemon as possible on Dragon Island to decide which one they want to capture. Or, if they come across a Pokemon they are particularly drawn to, they can capture it immediately, though such instances are rare.

So, it's more about comparing and contrasting to decide which Pokemon to capture. If you capture one at the start, who knows if it's the right choice?

The greatest advantage of entering the Inner Island is saving a lot of time. Most of the excellent Pokemon are here, with a smaller area compared to the outer island. Additionally, the distribution of Pokemon species is marked on the Pokedex.

These conveniences completely overshadow the privileges of the runner-up and third place!

"Isn't this too exaggerated, Mr. Lance? Even though I'm the Champion, this is a bit much..."

"Don't feel burdened. This is a privilege the Champion deserves. You're the strongest in this year's Quartz Conference, so what's wrong with receiving some perks? Alright, I won't waste your time any further; you can explore by yourself. I'll be waiting at the exit in three days, and its location is also on the Pokedex map."

With that, Lance rode his Dragonite and flew off, leaving Dragon Island. Ash watched Lance's diminishing figure before shifting his gaze back to the island.

He opened his Pokedex, which he hadn't used in a while, and accessed the map.

With technological advancements, the Pokedex has become more advanced. By loading the map, you can see your current location.

A holographic image appeared above the Pokedex, marking Ash's current position. The map wasn't overly detailed, but it wasn't too rough either. It almost covered the entire Dragon Island, both the outer and inner parts.

Ash couldn't help but marvel at the privileges of being a Champion. According to the map, the outer part is more than five times the size of the inner island. He didn't know where Gary and Paul were placed on Dragon Island, but now wasn't the time to think about them. It was time to see which type of Pokemon he wanted to capture.

"This is... Altaria, Dragonair, Dratini, Dragonite, Salamence, and even Goodra?! There's quite a variety of dragons, including those from the Kalos Region! Then why does Mr. Lance still use Charizard and Aerodactyl..."

Ash exclaimed as he saw the types marked on the map. This place indeed had a plethora of Dragon-type Pokemon from almost every region. And it's not just one or two, but groups of them!

Even Goodra from the Kalos Region is here.

There are no pseudo-dragons here, all are genuine Dragon-types, which raises the question: why are half of Lance's six main forces not Dragon-types?

Although three of them carry the 'dragon' name, they aren't Dragon-types! The most is Charizard after MEGA Evolution, and the others... are just borrowing the name.

"Maybe it's because Mr. Lance hasn't trained his other Dragon-types yet... Anyway, where should I go first, there are so many..."

'Why not just go one by one?' Mewtwo's voice echoed in Ash's mind.

"Right, since it's not that big, I'll just go one by one. Let's go, Pikachu!" Ash called out to Pikachu, who was munching on a cherry tomato, and set off. It's surprising that there are cherry tomatoes growing here. What a simple, unpretentious island!

...

Time flew by, and a day passed. Ash had almost explored the entire Inner Island, seeing all the Dragon-type Pokemon. However, he didn't encounter Gary or Paul on the island. They probably hadn't reached the Inner Island yet.

During this day's wandering, Ash saw many Pokemon he had never seen before. Though he had read about them in books or learned about them, seeing them in the real world for the first time greatly expanded his knowledge.

Moreover, Ash discovered an extremely powerful presence on Dragon Island, deep within the Dragonite clan. Although Ash didn't approach, just being near, he could sense the aura of that Pokemon.

Based on his intuition, that Pokemon might have already reached the... Divine Domain Level.

To think there's a Divine Domain-level Pokemon on this Dragon Island! No wonder Lance said there are Pokemon even he and the entire Dragon Taming Race have to give way to. Not giving way to a Divine Domain-level Pokemon would be ridiculous.

Mewtwo, inside the Pokeball, roughly calculated the battle power between itself and the Dragonite. In an actual fight, without MEGA Evolution, it's hard to say who would win. But with MEGA Evolution, Mewtwo would definitely win!

However, that Dragonite is definitely much older than Mewtwo. I've mentioned before that there are virtually no Pokemon, apart from Legendary Beasts, that can enter the Divine Domain.

There are very few Pokemon with Triple S-level Talent below the Legendary Beasts. Even if there are, they don't necessarily reach the Divine Domain. The few non-Legendary Pokemon that have stepped into the Divine Domain are rare throughout history.

Upon entering the Divine Domain, a Pokemon's lifespan greatly increases. Especially Dragon-type Pokemon, which are already long-lived, they live even longer.

So, the Divine Domain-level Dragonite within the Dragonite clan is definitely an old monster that has lived for hundreds or even thousands of years, maybe even longer than a millennium-old Gengar.

However, Ash didn't intend to provoke it, so it doesn't matter. Now, the priority is deciding which type of Pokemon to capture.

In one day, Ash had almost explored every corner, with the exception of one place, the home of the Dragonite clan.

As the symbolic Quasi-God of the Kanto region, along with a powerful Divine Domain-level Pokemon, Ash planned to leave the Dragonite territory for his last exploration.

The main reason is that Divine Domain-level Dragonite. If he finds a suitable Pokemon elsewhere, Ash might just skip this place. After all, if you step into the Dragonite's territory, who knows if you'll hit that Divine Domain-level Dragonite's Outrage.

Even having Mewtwo means he's not afraid, but he doesn't want unnecessary trouble. If a Divine Domain-level battle were to start, the entire Dragon Island might be utterly destroyed!

So Ash naturally doesn't want to provoke it if he can avoid it.

However, after circling around, Ash found that within the entire Inner Island, the one with the strongest talent was a Bagon, a Quasi-God, configured with one S, three A's, and two B's.

This talent is indeed not weak, but Ash felt that it wasn't the Pokemon he was looking for on Dragon Island. It wasn't about talent but the lack of a resonating feeling.

So Ash eventually headed to where the Dragonite clan resided.
