The final result was as expected, Ash captured the Dragonair, achieving his goal of coming to Dragon Island this time.
It's hard to say about the outskirts, but within the Inner Island, this Dragonair's talent is definitely among the top tier, yet it couldn't fully realize its potential just like Paul's Chimchar. Nobody knew why.
It's as if... it was waiting for him.
Merely after his arrival, the fact that Dragonair immediately mastered the wind element which it couldn't before, was already quite curious. However, Ash didn't think much of it. His reason for capturing Dragonair wasn't just because of its extraordinary talent, but also because he felt a connection with it.
The way it never gave up hope and continued moving forward, even at its lowest point, really resonated with Ash. Even without the Eye of Insight to see through Dragonair's talents, Ash would still have chosen Dragonair.
After capturing Dragonair, Ash's business on Dragon Island was considered finished. Now, he just needed to follow the markers left by Lance and wait for the Dragon Taming Race people to come and take them away at the entrance.
Just then, a voice entered Ash's ears: "Young man, come to the center of Dragon Island."
Ash looked up sharply, glancing around to find the Dragonites looking innocent, and the Dragonairs landing again with puzzled looks.
Judging by this, the voice that spoke to him earlier was likely not theirs... The voice sounded not beside his ear, but within his mind. It was telepathy.
The voice was somewhat deep, sounding like it belonged to someone not young, and it also used telepathy. Is this a skill that Dragon Attribute Pokemon can learn?
"I'm in the center of Dragon Island, come on over, young man." The deep voice rang out again, this time revealing its origins.
The center of Dragon Island... The place where Ash was located was on the west side of the Inner Island, easily over five kilometers away from the center. To accurately use telepathy from such a distance and live in the center of Dragon Island, there was only one candidate — that Divine Domain Level Dragonite!
The dwelling of the Divine Domain Level Dragonite was in the center of Dragon Island. Ash sensed it the moment he set foot on the island, as did Mewtwo, and perhaps the Dragonite had sensed them too.
After all, Ash and Mewtwo were like two bright lights in a pitch-black place, making it hard for the Divine Domain Dragonite not to notice them.
There aren't many Divine Domain Levels in the world. Today, suddenly having two come to Dragon Island, if you were the leader of Dragon Island, wouldn't you pay special attention to them?
However, Ash always behaved in a proper manner, was polite after arriving on Dragon Island, and didn't cause trouble, like an ordinary, regular person. So Ash believed he shouldn't have caught the attention of that Dragonite more than needed.
He had just captured Dragonair, and he was already targeted by that Dragonite... What does that mean, not allowing him to capture Pokemon?
"Go, Ash, see what he's up to." Mewtwo's voice also sounded in Ash's mind. The Dragonite's telepathy wasn't just for passing a message to Ash; it reached Mewtwo too.
No matter what tricks the other party wanted to play, the two of them here were of Divine Domain Level, and one could still MEGA evolve. Why should they fear the other?
Ash nodded and then quickly ran towards the location of the Dragonite. Pikachu on his shoulder looked bewildered, what was happening? Why did they suddenly start running?
With Ash's speed, it took less than five minutes to reach the Dragonite's location in the center of the island. Not to mention the power within, just his physical constitution alone far surpassed ninety-nine percent of humans.
Among humans, probably only Bruno could stand shoulder to shoulder with Ash in terms of sheer physical strength.
Upon reaching the center of the island, what appeared before Ash was an entrance resembling a cave. At the entrance, Ash distinctly felt a great sense of pressure, but as he stepped inside, the pressure vanished as if it had never been there.
As Ash walked in step by step, the space inside gradually opened up before him. From the outside, the place didn't seem very large, but after coming in, he realized the area was vast, even more than three times the size of Oak's Research Institute and his home combined.
Of course, that's not counting the backyard of Oak's Research Institute. If you include the backyard, then comparing it with the whole Inner Island of Dragon Island would be fitting.
The environment and air here were superb. It should have been a dim place, yet it was incredibly bright. The reason was probably the gems placed around the cave, emitting a soft glow that illuminated the entire cavern.
The ground was covered in grass, with light green blades swaying in the breeze, and the entire cave exuded fresh air.
"How is the ventilation system of this place designed? There's only one entrance, yet the air is even better than outside," Ash curiously surveyed the interior of the cave, while Pikachu beside him was on high alert, staring ahead.
A figure slowly emerged from the shadows, and Pikachu, initially very cautious under immense pressure, gradually relaxed upon recognizing the figure.
