Chapter 92: Ram's Awakening and Rem's Worry
In the evening, on his way home, Ren first dropped off Karen and Hitori at Kessoku Band before going to pick up Ram along the route.
As they departed, Rem secretly followed and memorized Ren's license plate number.
After returning home, Ram's career as a maid officially began. Though it only involved tidying up the messy cushions and blankets on the sofa, a simple cleanup made the space look much neater.
Meanwhile, Yuno and Satou rushed straight to the bathroom, as the school had no facilities for them to bathe.
"Ren~ Could you come here for a moment~"
Shortly after entering the bathroom, Satou called out to Ren.
Thinking they might be asking for a second round since they hadn't had enough earlier, and since he hadn't bathed yet either, Ren headed toward the bathroom in the living room upon hearing her call.
Ram blinked after glancing over, wondering if she should prepare towels and a change of clothes, especially since Yuno and the others had gone straight to the bathroom after dropping their shoulder bags at home.
With that in mind, she went to Ren's bedroom, found clothes for Ren, Yuno, and the others in the dressing room, and after mentally matching sizes for a while, picked out pajamas that seemed appropriately sized.
Returning to the living room, she knocked on the bathroom door.
"Master, I've brought you pajamas."
"Bring them in, the door isn't locked."
Hearing this, Ram opened the bathroom door, entered, neatly placed the clothes, and then left with a flushed face.
"Ren~ Should I go persuade her for you? She's a pink-haired beauty too~"
After watching Ram leave the bathroom blushing, Yuno wrapped her arms around Ren's arm and said with a suggestive expression.
After calling Ren into the bathroom, Satou didn't do much—she just drank the white dairy beverage she had been carrying and preserving all afternoon right in front of him.
Then, Ren patted Satou's head and sat on the vanity counter, letting her bury herself in studying to make up for the knowledge she hadn't absorbed enough of during gym class.
"What are you thinking? She's just a maid for now."
Ren said softly while stroking Satou's obedient hair, just as Anon remained his childhood friend, Ram was merely a maid at this point.
"For now~ I get it. But she does have the potential to be an excellent maid. Most people wouldn't accept this kind of situation, especially on their first day."
Yuno smiled faintly; this was actually a test for Ram as well.
Although her background was cleared, whether she could accept Ren and their affairs was still unknown. So, to fully enjoy themselves and help Ram adapt sooner, Satou had called Ren into the bathroom and shattered his restraint.
And Ram did excellently—she was only shy and surprised, not disgusted, clearly having mentally prepared in advance. Only a maid like this would Yuno and Satou consider qualified.
Outside in the living room, listening to the increasingly strange, loud, and blush-inducing sounds from the bathroom, Ram's face flushed with embarrassment, momentarily wondering if she had boarded the wrong ship too early.

Summer nights required no bed-warming, as Yuno and Satou handled nighttime services. Ram's evenings remained relatively relaxed.
Though determined, if required to perform nighttime duties this soon, not only was she unsure about satisfying Ren, but seeing Yuno and the others' intensity, Ram doubted she could maintain her maid duties afterward.
After becoming a maid, since Ren attended school during daytime and they went to different schools, Ram still attended classes the next day but contemplated dropping out.
School had been her path to future possibilities, but now she'd found her future. Though not yet firmly secured, it already surpassed many top graduates from prestigious schools—at least ensuring she and Rem could live comfortably.
She just didn't know how to explain this to Rem. Dropping out for work to support them would surely make Rem oppose it or even blame herself.
