Adrian suggested something new one evening.
"I want to role-play," he said.
Kieran looked up from his work. "Role-play what?"
"The first time we met. You saving me from Viktor's vampires. But this time, I want to be more... active in showing my gratitude."
Kieran's eyes darkened with interest. "You want to play out our first meeting with a sexual element?"
"Yes. Is that weird?"
"That's incredibly hot. Give me ten minutes to set up."
They met in the sanctuary's training room, which Kieran had dimmed to simulate the alley from six years ago. Adrian played his role perfectly—vulnerable human, frightened, grateful to be saved.
"Thank you," Adrian said breathlessly. "You saved my life. How can I repay you?"
Kieran, playing his part as the mysterious vampire, stepped closer. "Payment isn't necessary."
"But I want to. Please." Adrian's hand found Kieran's chest. "Let me show my gratitude properly."
He dropped to his knees, his hands working Kieran's belt. "Is this okay?"
"Yes," Kieran said, breaking character briefly. "Very okay."
Adrian took him in his mouth, playing the eager human showing gratitude. Kieran's hands tangled in his hair, not controlling but anchoring.
"Enough," Kieran said after a few minutes. "If we're role-playing our first meeting, it should end properly."
He pulled Adrian up and against the wall, his mouth claiming Adrian's with the same intensity from that first night. "You're mine now. Do you understand?"
"Yes," Adrian breathed, fully in character. "I'm yours."
Kieran entered him against the wall, rough and claiming, just as he would have if their first meeting had gone this direction. Adrian played his role perfectly—overwhelmed, grateful, claimed by a powerful vampire.
They came together intensely, both enjoying the fantasy, the reimagining of their first meeting.
After, they broke character and laughed.
"That was fun," Adrian said.
"Want to role-play other scenarios?"
"Absolutely. I have ideas."
Over the following weeks, they explored various role-plays—Adrian as prey, Kieran as predator; Kieran as helpless, Adrian as aggressor; various power dynamics and scenarios. Each was exciting, fun, bonding.
"We're kinky vampires," Adrian observed one night.
"We're creative vampires," Kieran corrected. "There's a difference."
