In that moment, the sky vanished.
Lü Yang looked up, but the sky was gone. The murky clouds had dissipated, and the sun, moon, and stars had all dimmed. In their place, a Celestial River with no visible beginning or end coiled around the horizon.
'Starlight? The Milky Way?'
Lü Yang couldn't tell. He could only see the boundless Celestial River flowing slowly by. It reached up to the dome of the heavens, merging sea and sky into one, and pressed down upon the mountains, forcing every peak to bow its head.
The first to bear the brunt was the Primal Daoist Evil. It didn't even have time to react. It just looked up at the sky, the boundless Celestial River reflected in its eyes. Then, the river's water began to pour out from those same eyes, dissolving its skin and flesh, its muscles and bones, melting its entire body away inch by inch.
Without a word, Lü Yang surged forward to grab it.
