Back in Gotham, Su Ming retrieved his armor and weapons, transforming back into Deathstroke.
He brought Harley to the rooftop of Wayne Tower, waiting for Poison Ivy to arrive.
Of course, finding a spot to make a phone call in Gotham is something Harley can handle herself, despite her past craziness. But she has over a hundred followers; she is the big boss of the 'Harley Gang' after all.
However, her gang is more like a fan club. After breaking up with Joker, the real crazies followed him, leaving only the oddballs.
But getting a phone is a trivial matter.
Poison Ivy quickly used plants to verify it was really Harley, ensuring it wasn't a trap by the Celestial Eye Association.
Poison Ivy is very smart, and with Harley, they're a duo of female geniuses.
Harley graduated from a prestigious university's psychology program and is one of the best psychiatrists in Gotham; otherwise, she wouldn't have been able to work at Arkham at such a young age.
Poison Ivy is the same, a genius in botany and chemistry. The hybrid plants and toxins she creates even require Batman to rely on external help to counter.
That 'external help' wears a tailcoat all year round and is a top-notch cook.
As for Catwoman, the third person also known as the Gotham Phantom with them, she seemed a bit uneducated.
At this time, Poison Ivy was in Gotham, but she had no fixed abode, often secretly staying in various large parks.
She was now active with the Birds of Prey, including Batwoman, Black Canary, Female Hunter, Xiao (Lin Owl), and along with Samurai Sword, forming a team of women.
Originally, there was a man in the team, Divine Eagle, but with the N52 Rebirth, this man mysteriously disappeared, as if he never existed.
But usually, only Batwoman, Canary, and Female Hunter go on missions, as Poison Ivy is not interested in cases without plants.
Lin Owl was formerly a Sharp Claw of the Owl Court, and has some... physical and mental issues to deal with.
As for Samurai Sword, she is currently focused on the Suicide Squad.
Poison Ivy quickly arrived, like a female version of the Ape People's Mount Tai, as vines brought her up to the top of Wayne Tower.
"Little Red!"
"Harley!"
The two women embraced, Harley excitedly rubbing her face against Poison Ivy's like a pet.
Su Ming just crossed his arms, quietly observing. It was almost dawn, with a hint of morning light appearing on the horizon.
The dispute between the 'Tree Council' and the 'Hundred Flowers Council' seemed not to have affected Poison Ivy, as her powers were still at their peak.
According to the Swamp Monster from the comics, Poison Ivy's powers initially came from a certain drug, but then she also connected to the Green of All Things, with her backing being the more mysterious vine representative – 'May Queen'.
No one has ever seen what exactly May Queen is, as there are too many vines in the world. But as long as there are plants and venom, Poison Ivy has fighting strength. The Green of All Things doesn't help her much, nor does she rely on it.
"Is he the one who saved you?" Poison Ivy glanced at Su Ming, speaking softly to Harley.
"Yes, look at the back of my neck, is there still a little hole?" Harley nodded while turning around for Poison Ivy to check the back of her head to see if the bomb had really been dismantled.
However, it was a nanobomb, with just enough power to blow a head off but not leaving a hole after removal.
Poison Ivy simply comforted Harley by patting her neck and sticking a little leaf from her body onto it.
"It's okay, you're all better now. Let's go to your home in New York for a party." Poison Ivy tugged Harley's hand, signaling her to move quickly as staying too close to Deathstroke made her uncomfortable.
Harley placed the steel and concrete block she was carrying on her shoulder down, rubbing her arm: "No, Little Red, I still have to save the world."
"Huh?" Poison Ivy looked at her strangely: "Did you forget to take your meds or take the wrong ones? Saving the world is for the Justice League, let's just go back to New York now and have a lively welcome ceremony for my dear sister."
"No, Ivy, listen to me."
So Harley told Poison Ivy about the Totality, and that Earth was dying. Of course, there was not much meaningful information, mostly her unrealistic fantasies.
Poison Ivy conjured a chair with vines and sat down, her face numb.
"So you are saying a treasure fell from the sky, Batman and Luthor are fighting over it, but the treasure is bad and will turn the whole multiverse into a giant cake?"
"Yes, exactly." Harley nodded affirmatively, very seriously: "Now neither Bat nor Baldy believes it, and saving the world is up to me, Little Red, you will help me, won't you?"
Harley used her puppy eyes, looking at Poison Ivy with her large, watery eyes.
Ivy turned her head away; she couldn't handle such an eye attack, knowing that if she didn't agree, Harley would definitely pester her and even cry in front of her.
"Okay, so what do we do next? Storm the Hall of Justice? Snatch the treasure?"
"Uh.....I haven't thought of that yet..." Harley scratched her head and turned a pleading look at Su Ming; he must have a plan.
Su Ming didn't want the Totality, as the Justice League and Luthor both believed it contained all concepts beyond the Origin Wall.
And that concept was too vague.
Currently, the Hall of Justice has Batman, Barry, Hawk Woman, and Diana, possibly some second-line superheroes.
If Su Ming launched an assault, there's a significant chance he and Poison Ivy could obtain the Totality.
And then?
He didn't know what that glowing little ball did; in his hands, it might not be useful at all.
He'd face attacks from both the Justice League and Luthor's crew.
Doing that would be idiotic. Better to watch and wait, to see if it's truly a treasure or an apocalypse.
While he was thinking, he seemed to hear a thundering sound, the intense rumbling echoing from outside the city, coming closer and closer.
"Hmm..." Harley also heard it; she tilted her head to listen intently: "I haven't been back to Gotham for a while, is the noise pollution always this bad now? Let me see, it's only six o'clock in the morning, is it the wake-up call for a dystopia?"
Poison Ivy didn't think that, she quickly moved towards the edge of Wayne Tower, looking into the distance, seeing a bluish line on the eastern horizon.
"Tsunami!"
Su Ming saw it too, to be precise, it was a super tsunami. Calculating based on Earth's curvature, if you could see a visible wall of water moving like a line high above the horizon from Wayne Tower, when it reached you, it would be like a mountain.
The so-called doomsday flood was probably just that, and now Su Ming intended to immediately call Barry to see if he could build a Noah's Ark in the dozens of seconds available.
Also, wasn't Arthur supposed to handle residual ocean problems? This is the result?
Or did Sea King finally rebel against the discrimination from the Justice League?
