Twig could hardly believe what was happening.
While still fighting the Boss, he realized that his friends' skill effects had been activated.
Without wasting time, he rushed to collect all the items the monster had dropped. Then, he raised his hand and activated his ability.

"I… can't believe it," murmured Twig, his eyes gleaming.
"There's so much good stuff here. Luck finally smiled on me."
The system's familiar tone echoed in his head almost immediately:
[Ding!]
User, congratulations!
You have defeated your first Boss.
A new function has been unlocked in the Kafra System:
You can now challenge Bosses up to Level 30, randomly selected, once per week.
New Dungeon Unlocked:Weekly Challenge – Boss Battle
Face a unique enemy and test your strength in an exclusive high-risk, high-reward battle.
Twig smiled.
"A dungeon just for bosses, huh? Heh… this is going to be interesting."
He turned to his friends, Aron and Jenny, still excited from the victory.
"Guys, I think we're done here. Let's head back and meet Aliane so we can return to the inn."
"Alright, let's go," said Aron.
Jenny nodded silently in agreement.
On the way back, they chatted about what had happened.
"Today was a big success," said Twig with a grin. "We defeated a boss and got great rewards."
Jenny, curious, raised her eyebrows.
"Were they really that good? What did we get?"
Twig opened his inventory and replied,
"We got an amazing piece of equipment. I think you'll like it—it'll look perfect on you, Jenny."
"On me?" she asked, surprised.
Twig pulled an item from his inventory — a tiara adorned with small bat-like wings — and handed it to her.
"This is a head accessory. It increases strength and grants resistance to enemies that use magic. It's really good."
Jenny examined the item closely… then wrinkled her nose.
"Ugh, but it's ugly."
Twig widened his eyes, shocked.
"How can she say that?! A rare item like this, and she's worried about looks?" he thought, incredulous.
Aron noticed the awkwardness and intervened.
"Come on, Jenny! It's a gift. You shouldn't say that."
Jenny blushed and looked down, embarrassed.
"Sorry, Twig. I didn't mean to be ungrateful."
"It's fine, Jenny," he replied with a gentle smile. "If you don't want to wear it, that's okay. But I'll warn you—it's a disadvantage. This item is really strong. If you use it, you'll get even stronger."
Aron crossed his arms.
"Then why can't I use it? I could get stronger too."
Twig chuckled.
"Because you already have more strength than Jenny. It would work for you, but it's more useful for her right now. Besides…" — he smirked — "it'll look way better on her than on that big head of yours."
Jenny laughed, while Aron pretended to be offended.
When they reached the Dungeon entrance, they were greeted by Aliane, as always, with a polite smile and her impeccable posture.
Twig immediately began selling the items he had gathered — potions, materials, and trinkets with no real use. Zeny was what mattered most now.
However, when he placed a black dye on the counter to sell, Aliane stopped him.
"Are you sure you want to sell that dye? With it, I can apply a color effect to your outfits."
"Seriously?" asked Twig, suddenly interested. "Then I won't sell it."
He turned to his friends.
"Hey, anyone want to change their outfit color to black?"
The siblings exchanged puzzled looks.
"What do you mean, change color?" asked Aron.
"Like… dye it," explained Twig. "This dye can recolor any of our outfits. I could use it, but if one of you wants it, I'll let you have it."
Aron looked down at his swordsman's attire and shrugged.
"I like mine as it is. No need to change."
Jenny looked at hers and smiled.
"Mine looks just like yours. I want to change! Can I use the dye?"
"Of course," said Twig, handing Aliane the vial.
Aliane took it gracefully. Her hand began to glow softly as dark particles surrounded Jenny.
Within seconds, her outfit shimmered in deep shades of black and silver — elegant and sharp, like polished silk.
"Wow…" said Aron, impressed. "You look way more intimidating in those dark colors."
Jenny twirled, delighted with her new look. Her outfit now stood out from the others — sleek, shadowy, and distinct.
After finishing their trades, the group returned to the inn and resumed their daily routines.
That night, gathered once again in their small room, Twig shared the big news:
"From now on, once a week, we can challenge powerful bosses — just like today."
Aron's eyes lit up.
"So tomorrow we're taking down another one, right?"
Twig looked at Jenny.
"What about you? Want another tough fight like today's?"
Jenny smiled.
"I do. Let's fight again tomorrow. I'm excited."
And so, the next day, after finishing their chores and running to the forest near the well, the three gathered before Aliane once again.
Together, they agreed to face another unknown boss.
Twig selected the new option in the Kafra System — Boss Challenge.
A flash of light engulfed them.
When their vision cleared, they found themselves standing in a circular arena, ancient and half-collapsed, like a forgotten coliseum.
In the center of the arena, shrouded in mist and dust from the cracked ground, stood a wolf — large, muscular, unlike any they had faced before.
Around it prowled several other wolves, fierce and adult, but none compared to the leader's size.
It was obvious — this was the Boss.
Twig didn't hesitate.
He stepped forward and activated his ability.

Skill Activated: Appraisal
🕱 Boss Monster
Name: Vagabond Wolf
Level: 24
Race: Brute
Size: Medium
Element: Earth
Mode: Aggressive
HP: 32,240
It was the Vagabond Wolf — the Wolf King.
Its level was lower than Deviling's, but being a wolf and not a slime, it was far faster and more dangerous.
A true challenge worthy of respect.
Twig shared the information with his friends.
"He's not as strong as the last boss," he said, "but the difference is speed. These wolves attack fast and in packs. If we're not careful, things could get ugly."
With the plan set, the three took their positions.
Twig stood at the front, shield and sword ready.
Aron followed behind, prepared to engage.
Jenny stayed in the rear, alert for the right moment to strike.
Twig charged first, slamming a Bash directly into the boss's head — his signature move, tested and proven.
The impact was brutal.
The wolf staggered, momentarily stunned and unable to retaliate.
The other wolves lunged, but Aron intercepted them with his blade, while Jenny darted forward, cutting down those that slipped through — quick and precise as always.
When the Boss finally recovered, it charged at Twig, who stepped back strategically, drawing it away from the others to isolate the fight.
Soon, Twig realized the challenge wasn't as bad as he expected.
His stats were higher, his level superior. It wasn't easy — but it wasn't overwhelming either.
Before long, his friends finished off the smaller wolves and turned to assist him.
Surrounded, the Boss began to falter under their combined attacks.
But before falling, it howled — a deep, resonant cry that summoned reinforcements.
New wolves appeared along the arena walls, forcing Aron and Jenny to disengage and fight them off.
Even alone, Twig stood firm.
The Boss lunged again — and with one perfectly timed Bash, the fight was over.
The Vagabond Wolf collapsed.
Since Twig had dealt the final blow, his friends' item-boosting skills didn't trigger this time.
Even so, when he checked the loot, he couldn't help but smile.
It wasn't a loss — far from it.
The rewards were more than worth it.
