Chapter 112: Believe in Science and Eliminate Heresy
Francis roared through his Titan, a super-high-energy particle beam shooting from its arm-mounted laser destructor, directly tearing a void behind Mortarion and even causing a disturbance in the warp's membrane.
A massive crater exploded on the warp-touched planet; the once perfectly round world now looked as if something had taken a bite out of it.
"Where's your First Captain? Why isn't he with you?"
Mortarion, who had been in shock, immediately turned red-eyed and roared: "You shut up! It's not his place to tell me what to do here!"
"I'll kill you!"
He raised his scythe, bringing down a suffocating psychic storm on the Titan!
Bang!
The Abyss's Roar Titan extended a punch, striking Mortarion. Under the influence of Blackstone, the cold steel fist landed on him with devastating force.
With a thunderous boom, Mortarion was sent flying, bouncing across the surface like a skipping stone!
Rumble rumble~
As the massive Titan strode step by step toward the Vengeful Spirit, the entire flagship was enveloped in Chaos energy!
The warp energy, almost solid, roared at the Titan, simply because it carried an almost tomb-level amount of blackstone.
"Horus! Open the door quickly!"
"Brother, I've brought some warmth!"
Francis shouted excitedly.
The Titan, like a mobile star fortress, fired its shoulder and arm weapon systems at full power, unleashing destructive energy beams directly at the Chaos barrier surrounding the Vengeful Spirit.
The Titan's massive arm swung high, and its enormous metal fist, carrying savage power, slammed into the barrier, repeatedly unleashing shocking psychic fluctuations, like the wrath of a god shaking the stars.
"Francis, after I kill the False Emperor! I'll come for you!"
"Get out of my way!"
On the Vengeful Spirit, continuous massive tremors were felt. Horus turned his head to see the Titan, as large as the warship itself, relentlessly attacking the barrier.
"Hahaha! You said you'd kill him! Go on!"
"Do you dare to go out?!"
Magnus, far away on Terra, clapped his thigh and burst into laughter at this scene.
"Francis, go for it!"
"Take him down!"
Francis, hearing Magnus's voice, also grinned. "Horus! If you don't deal with me, you won't reach Terra!"
The surrounding Chaos traitor fleet clearly wouldn't stand idly by.
Accompanied by piercing sonic weapons, a barrage of attacks rained down, with orbital cannons and disintegration beams repeatedly attempting to weaken its defenses.
The bombardment rocked the Titan, yet the cracks on its body slowly healed, and it roared deafeningly as if alive.
It was at this moment that a heart-pounding purplish-blue light emanated from numerous fissures.
Countless Tzeentch daemons poured out of the fissures, their grotesque and bizarre forms appearing even more unreal under the warp's light.
Some were covered entirely in eyes, constantly watching their surroundings, exuding suffocating fear. Others dragged long tentacles, each swing releasing soul-scorching energy. Still others were twisted like fluid, continually changing form, seemingly trying to deceive sight and reason.
Several Lords of Change slowly rose from the fissures. Their bodies were massive and asymmetrical, with giant, rune-covered bird heads overlooking the battlefield. Their wings shimmered with blue and gold light, emitting destructive psychic fluctuations.
In their clawed hands, they held staffs covered in twisted runes, the tips continuously spewing flame-like psychic energy that incinerated the void.
Meanwhile, Guilliman, clad in blackstone armor that gleamed with deep radiance, stood resolutely amidst the tide of daemons.
In the distance, Lorgar's massive and eerie figure appeared. Fiery Chaos runes flowed across his body, and burning psychic flames formed a vortex around him.
"Guilliman! Do you think those black stones can save you?"
"Why is it always you?!"
"Why did the Emperor take you to the Perfect City! Why does Francis also help you!"
"This isn't fair!"
He roared, his voice echoing like thunder across the battlefield. He raised his warhammer and slammed it down on Guilliman, psychic flames erupting with world-shattering power from the strike.
Guilliman raised the sword by his side, a blackstone sword personally forged by Francis!
The moment the blade clashed with the warhammer, dazzling sparks erupted, and a powerful shockwave tossed the surrounding daemons.
The blackstone armor ignored the impact of the psychic flames, and Guilliman stood unmoving. His sword traced an elegant and deadly arc, forcing Lorgar to retreat.
His eyes turned red. Finally!
Finally, he wouldn't be knocked down by randomly appearing psychic attacks anymore! He could finally just hack and slash!
"There's no fairness in this world! I bear the destiny of five hundred worlds, I am not like you!"
"Look at yourself now! Is this what you call a god? Clearly, it's heresy!"
"Believe in science! Exterminate heretics!"
Countless Tzeentch daemons surrounded Guilliman.
They brandished their claws and psychic tentacles, attempting to attack him from all directions.
One daemon unfurled wings made of countless eyes, diving sharply from above, psychic flames erupting from its talons.
Another daemon wielded an eerie staff, summoning void rifts, attempting to drag Guilliman into the warp's abyss.
"I'm terrifyingly strong now!" Guilliman, utterly exhilarated, charged into the daemons, enduring the psychic onslaught. The blackstone armor was like the natural enemy of Chaos daemons; every psychic impact was completely neutralized the moment it touched him.
His figure weaved through the daemon horde, his power sword flashing like lightning, precise and deadly, each swing causing a daemon's body to disintegrate.
Lorgar was furious. He swung his warhammer, relentlessly launching a frantic assault on Guilliman!
Unfortunately, click!
A pair of black handcuffs seized the opportunity to shackle Lorgar when Guilliman skillfully parried his attack!
Immediately, a strong sense of weakness made Lorgar involuntarily half-crouch on the ground. He looked at the object on his arm with horror and roared:
"What did you do to me? What is this thing?!"
"God will not abandon you! Humanity will only belong to Chaos, the Imperium has no future!"
"Your fall only makes me more resolute!" Guilliman said coldly, his sword sweeping out again, thrusting toward Lorgar's heart, forcing him to retreat once more.
"Since you say it's a god! Then let your god save you."
Lorgar swung his warhammer, slamming it hard into the arm with the blackstone handcuff. With a sickening splat, the arm was instantly smashed into bloody pulp, then immediately began to regenerate.
He looked up to mock Guilliman!
Guilliman's blackstone sword was already at Lorgar's neck, and he said expressionlessly, "You merely admire strength. Truth to be told, when Monarchia was destroyed, I even wondered if Father was too kind to you."
"He didn't even kill you eleven times over!"
"But you, because of these trivial matters, would betray Father, betray humanity!"
"You truly disappoint me!"
His temper flared upon hearing this. He shrieked, "These are trivial matters?!"
"Hahaha! So in your eyes, these are trivial matters!"
"Good! Good! Good! The Imperium is indeed beyond saving!"
His expression hardened. He roared maniacally, "Then all of you die!"
"Do you think you can defeat me? Defeat Chaos?"
His body began to swell rapidly, runes shining with dazzling light, and the entire battlefield was enveloped in a terrifying psychic storm.
"Feel the wrath of Chaos!"
He roared, his body instantly transforming into a blazing psychic sun.
The core of the explosion was like a collapsing star, releasing a destructive shockwave.
Psychic flames erupted, completely tearing apart the surrounding space, and warp rifts opened one after another, emitting twisted whispers and growls.
The shockwave swept across the battlefield like a violent hurricane, destroying everything; even nearby daemons were annihilated in this power.
Guilliman had no time to dodge. The explosion's shockwave engulfed him instantly.
Although the blackstone armor resisted most of the psychic corruption, faced with such immense energy, cracks began to appear.
His body was sent flying, crashing heavily into a broken warship wreck, blood seeping from the seams of his helmet.
His blackstone armor was cracked, and the damaged plating revealed deep wounds.
His vision gradually blurred. In a daze, he saw Francis's figure. The other held a small green bottle and told him:
"Brother, trust me. This is definitely good stuff."
"One bottle for refreshment, two bottles for endless energy, three bottles for eternal youth. Oh yeah!"
Guilliman struggled to reach into his chestplate, seemingly finding the potion Francis had given him. He couldn't care less now.
He poured it directly into his mouth. Gulp, gulp, gulp~~~
He vaguely saw many blue figures shouting:
"Father, don't fall asleep!"
"Father, how are you?!"
"Father..."
He heard loud noises continuously coming from beneath him.
Pffft Pffft pffft~ Pffft pffft pffft~~~
A massive green miasma emanated from beneath Guilliman, and even the daemons lurking nearby, attempting to ambush him, clutched their throats and hastily fled.
