There was a small note of tension as Kassie slammed her sword on the ground. Both of them stared at us, starting from me, who was at the center of everything.
Honestly, I didn't mind being stared at.
It was at this time that I knew and appreciated the importance of cellphones. After this little aura farming, wouldn't it have been easy to pull the fox lady aside and ask her for her phone number?
Maybe she would have tried to kill me. Would she? After sounding so powerful?
'I think she'll fold, so long as Kassie is around.' I smiled internally. 'That's my wingman right there… or wingwoman…?'
Kassie honestly probably didn't know how important she was to me.
The silence went on for more than two minutes. At that point, it was getting more difficult to stand without trying to share my body weight between both legs. My calves were starting to ache, and maintaining a dignified posture while your feet slowly died was harder than it sounded.
