Chapter 139 - Chapter 137: You Want to Blackmail Me?

"Bang!"

The compartment door was suddenly slammed from outside, making the door frame emit an ear-piercing creak,

Kael, who was focused on maintaining the Doubling Charm, was startled by the abrupt noise, and his wrist instinctively jerked up.

"Rip..."

A long, narrow tear immediately appeared on the freshly completed map.

"I..."

Kael stared at the now completely ruined map, a twitch at the corner of his eye.

That was one Galleon...

The others were equally startled by the door slam. Fred, having just finished casting the Doubling Charm, jerked his hand and pressed the map onto George's robe.

"Merlin's bushy beard! This is my new robe I bought this year."

George looked at his robe, his eyes full of heartache. "Kael, do you have a way to get rid of this thing?"

"Of course, there's a way and it's quite simple."

Kael squinted his eyes and looked up towards the outside of the door.

Through the glass on the door, he could clearly see three young boys standing in the corridor outside.

"That Harry Potter, he actually gave up Malfoy's friendship for that damn Weasley, how foolish, just like his parents!

They were the same... so ungrateful!"

Draco Malfoy thought to himself and then pounded on the neighboring compartment door once again.

"And that Weasley."

Next to Malfoy, Goyle, holding his finger, said angrily, "He actually dared to let his pet bite me, I have to give him a beating."

Goyle was very bulky, looking somewhat like a wooden stump with a teapot on top, but there's no denying that his angry appearance had a certain intimidating effect.

"Don't worry, Goyle, there will be chances."

Malfoy massaged his wrist, which was faintly hurting, and said coldly, "My father is on the board of governors. When we get to Hogwarts, I have a hundred ways to make them regret today's actions."

After saying that, he straightened his slightly disheveled hair, preparing to leave here with Crabbe and Goyle and head to another Slytherin carriage.

But just then, the compartment door next to him was opened by someone.

"Hold on a second, gentlemen."

Kael stood there, expressionlessly sweeping his gaze over the three in front, finally fixing his eyes on the pale-faced boy.

Judging by the position, the one who slammed the door should be him.

After confirming this, Kael said indifferently, "It was you who slammed the door just now."

"Uh... yes, it was me."

Malfoy was taken aback for a moment, then formally said, "I'm Draco Malfoy, sorry for disturbing you."

Although Malfoy was very polite and spoke courteously, Kael could see that as he talked, there was an unmistakable arrogance in his eyes.

Especially after he said his own name, that arrogance became even more apparent.

However, Kael didn't mind and said calmly, "Your attitude is not bad. How about this, as long as you compensate us for our loss just now, we'll let it go."

"Loss?"

Malfoy was momentarily stunned, then he saw Fred and George behind Kael.

In an instant, the little bit of courtesy left on his face vanished, replaced by a look of disgust.

"Redheads… damned Weasleys and their odd friends again."

Malfoy looked at Kael, took a Galleon out of his pocket nonchalantly, tossed it over, and said with a cold sneer, "You don't need to give back the change... Oh, and I forgot to mention, this is a Galleon, you probably don't even know what it looks like."

After speaking, Malfoy began to leave immediately. He couldn't bear to stay even a second longer.

But a hand stopped him.

"Wait a minute..."

Kael shook the Galleon in his fingers lightly and said softly, "This isn't enough."

Malfoy's steps halted, he took a deep breath, and threw another Galleon at Kael.

He used a lot of force, seemingly wanting to crush this detestable guy in front with the Galleon.

Kael easily caught it, then shook his finger again.

"Sorry, it's still not enough…"

"Don't push it!"

Malfoy's face flushed slightly, and he said angrily, "If you keep bothering me, I'll tell my father you're extorting me!

He's on the Hogwarts board, he has the power to expel you!"

"I think you might have misunderstood," Kael raised an eyebrow and said, "I'm a good student who won the Special Award for Services to the School. How could I do something like extortion?

I'm just asking for reasonable compensation for my loss, even if the Minister of Magic came, they couldn't say anything."

"Special Award for Services to the School?" Malfoy sneered, "Just you... wait a minute, are you that new student named Kael?"

He remembered, his father did tell him during the summer that a new student had won the Special Award for Services to the School.

This must be the person right in front of him.

"To be exact, I'm in the second year, you're the new student."

Kael said, "So, can we continue the discussion about compensation now?"

Malfoy frowned, intending to refuse.

Although he didn't know what the compensation was for, he thought, since the other party was with the Weasley children, they couldn't be rich. Two Galleons were more than enough to buy his entire attire.

But now he couldn't leave.

Not because of Kael's status; a Special Award for Services to the School was nothing compared to his father's position on the board.

It was just the five people standing behind Kael made him somewhat uneasy.

Including Kael, there were six students more than a year ahead, while on his side there were only three, all first-years.

If it really came to a fight, he had no chance of winning.

"How much do you want," Malfoy asked through gritted teeth.

He decided to pay for peace; no matter what, he needed to leave here first.

Kael thought for a moment and said, "Not much, 200 Galleons in total. Considering the previous amount, you only need to give me 198 more."

"How much? 200 Galleons!?"

Malfoy thought he misheard, screaming, "That's impossible, forget it!"

"Hold on, let me calculate for you..."

"I won't listen!" Malfoy's face was completely red, he drew his wand, pointing at Kael, "I get it, you're extorting me!"

200 Galleons, already higher than most salaries in the Ministry of Magic.

Not to mention he merely banged the door a few times; even if he went in and beat everyone up, it wouldn't be worth that much compensation.

Malfoy was rich, but not crazy; he'd have to lose his mind to give Kael 200 Galleons.
