Chapter 136 - Chapter 134: Tycoon Snape

The new student named Hermione soon left with her dad.

As soon as she left, Fred showed a strange expression.

"She memorized all the textbooks..."

"Yes, Fred, you heard right." George held back a laugh, "We did indeed meet another Percy."

Before he entered school, Percy also memorized all the textbooks, and for that, Mrs. Weasley rewarded him with a set of brand-new robes.

"Which house do you think she will be sorted into?" George asked.

Fred raised his eyebrows, "Do we even need to think about it? It's definitely Ravenclaw."

"I think so too."

"No, I think it's Gryffindor." At this point, Kael, who hadn't been part of the conversation, suddenly spoke up: "Don't forget, Percy is in Gryffindor."

"That's different, Kael," Fred shook his head and said, "Our whole family is in Gryffindor."

George added, "Actually, we've always thought Percy wanted to be in Ravenclaw more, but the Sorting Hat put him in Gryffindor."

Kael stroked his chin and said, "How about we make a bet."

At the mention of a bet, Fred and George immediately got excited.

"What's the bet?"

"How about a Galleon."

Kael took out a gold coin and flipped it in his fingers. "If she's sorted into Ravenclaw, I'll give each of you a Galleon."

"..."

Fred and George glanced at each other, exchanging a quick look of understanding.

It didn't take long for the two to come to an agreement.

Fred looked at Kael, mischievously, and said, "That's too boring. How about something more exciting?"

"Like what...?"

"We'll bet this!" George took out a piece of toffee from his pocket, "If that little girl is sorted into Ravenclaw, you have to eat this Fat Tongue Toffee at the start-of-term feast."

"Are you sure?" Kael's expression turned a bit strange, "Then what if she's sorted into Gryffindor?"

"Then we'll eat it," both said at the same time.

Kael's expression became even stranger, he stifled his laughter and took the toffee from George.

"Tsk, alright, I agree."

Fred and George extended their hands and said, "Then it's a deal!"

"It's a deal." Kael also extended his hand and shook hands with them.

Initially, he just wanted to earn some pocket money, but since Fred and George were so enthusiastic, he didn't mind enjoying a little show.

The three of them released their hands and exchanged looks, each with a smile, and none brought it up again.

Kael looked toward the station entrance and curiously asked, "It's been quite a while, why haven't Ron and Mrs. Weasley come in yet?"

"No idea, they might have run into another lost first-year again," Fred said.

"Things like that happen often at King's Cross Station."

George glanced toward the train, "Never mind that, let's get on the train. Lee Jordan wrote before saying he got a big bag of spiders as a pet. Did anyone notice him come yet?"

Speaking of pets...

Kael subconsciously glanced at the unimpressive box in his hand.

Newt's reply had arrived that afternoon, and in it, he agreed to Kael's request to adopt the Niffler.

Now, the Niffler was in the box, and Kael had given it a nice name.

Jerry.

After boarding the train, Fred and George quickly went to find Lee Jordan. Kael took his luggage and headed toward the end of the train.

However, just as he took a couple of steps, a compartment door not far away suddenly opened, and a small head poked out.

Conna waved and said, "Kael, over here!"

Kael quickly walked over.

Inside was only Conna. Upon seeing Kael, she eagerly closed the compartment door.

Kael eyed her warily and instinctively stepped back two steps, "What do you want!"

"There's something I want to tell you."

Conna didn't notice Kael's small reaction. After closing the door, she looked excited as she said, "Did you know, Professor Snape is actually my relative!"

"Uh, I know."

"I couldn't believe it before, but... huh?" Conna's expression froze, disbelief all over her face, "You, you knew?!"

"Yeah." Kael laughed, "I also know that Professor Snape's mother's last name is Prince."

Conna went into a dazed state all of a sudden.

Wait, this scenario is completely different from what she imagined.

Kael shouldn't be surprised, shocked? But...

Conna opened her mouth and dryly asked, "How, how did you know?"

"My dad told me." Kael placed the box on the luggage rack, "He was classmates with Professor Snape, just happens to know some things."

This piece of information was indeed told to him by Chris, when he came to the school right before the break.

Originally, Kael had just asked tentatively, but Chris ended up knowing.

Conna wrinkled her brow and said, "Then why didn't you tell me before?"

"Would you have believed me if I told you?" Kael asked back.

Conna hesitated for a moment, then dejectedly shook her head. Before that summer incident, she really wouldn't have believed something so outrageous.

"By the way..." Suddenly remembering something, Conna asked suspiciously, "Was it also because of you that Professor Snape came to find me?"

Kael did not deny it.

"Tidying up messes for others after accepting their money, so, did those troublesome issues get resolved?"

The letter Kael wrote on the first day of vacation was sent to Snape, and the content was simple, it just described Conna's recent situation.

Although he slightly exaggerated some parts by a small fraction, overall, it was about right.

"Yeah, they're resolved." Conna glanced at Kael deeply.

"On the second day of vacation, Professor Snape came to my house, revealed his identity, and took me to Gringotts."

In the midst of taking out snacks, Kael paused and asked, "What did he take you to Gringotts for?"

Conna said, "He had the goblins reclaim my family's previous Vault and transferred everything inside to his Vault."

"Wait a minute... you said Snape moved all your family's stuff into his Vault?"

The more Kael listened, the less right it sounded. What kind of tricky move was this by Snape?

Afraid someone else would take it, so he took it all himself first?

Is there any difference between this and other people?!

Sensing Kael's meaning, Conna quickly explained, "He doesn't want to keep it for himself, just safeguarding it for me."

"I've heard that too many times..." Kael said quietly, "Anyone who believes that is a fool."

"It's true." Conna said seriously, "In fact, there wasn't much money left in my family's previous Vault; the only thing of value was probably our land deed.

But Professor Snape's Vault has piles of Galleons, he has no reason to scam me."

"Let's hope so..." Kael sighed and said, "Apart from that, did he do anything else?"

"He bought the house next to ours, and spent the whole summer living there."

Talking about this, Conna couldn't help but reveal a smile, "During these two months, everyone who came to my house was chased away by him."

"Snape bought a house next to yours?" Kael's mouth twitched.

Alright, he admitted that his earlier thoughts were a bit dirty.
