Yugen: "My turn, draw a card!"
The Judge now has Yubel on the field. Originally, Yubel would have a self-destruction side effect at the end of the turn, but by sacrificing a monster each turn, this side effect can be avoided.
And the "Sacrificial Lotus" in the graveyard can self-regenerate at each end phase, making it the perfect tribute.
Fortunately, the Yubel system in the opponent's hand should be limited to this.
Yugen is well aware of the hidden potential of future Yubel, with card decks twenty years from now being at the top level of the environment—akin to a carrier bombing a caveman with a pitchfork in today's environment. If a destiny-power-level boss like the Judge had such a powerful deck, there would be no point in dueling; they might as well surrender directly.
However, don't even mention the future deck system; the Judge clearly doesn't have Yubel's second and third forms.
This is only to be expected. Although Yubel's main card in the animated world is not an extremely rare card, its evolved forms are.
Because there were no Yubel second and third form cards in the world before Yubel ascended to the heavens. It was only after being launched into space, receiving the Light Fluctuation of Destruction, and re-fusing with her darkening inner turmoil that she evolved into the "Hateful Knight" and the "Extremely Sorrowful Demon Dragon" forms.
And now that Judai's Yubel has not yet returned, these two forms have not been created. No matter how powerful Doma's printing capabilities, they couldn't possibly have them.
In other words, originally when Yubel was destroyed by an effect, she would evolve into a stronger form, but this Yubel certainly won't. Therefore, she has no destruction resistance and can just be destroyed.
So Yugen has decided and plays a card from his hand.
"Summon 'Elemental Hero Bubbleman'!"
A stream of blue water bursts forth, and the hero clad in blue armor appears among the flying bubbles and splashing water, wearing that familiar confident smile.
This is only to be expected. Anyone who draws two cards upon appearing would smile with such confidence.
"Elemental Hero Bubbleman, upon successful summoning and if there are no other cards on your field, draw two cards from your deck."
Yugen draws two cards, adds them to his hand, then immediately plays two cards from his hand in one go.
"Magic Card 'Fusion' activate!
Fusion conditions: a hero plus any Water Attribute monster!"
The crowd was taken aback.
A hero's... fusion?
Yugen?
Several people instinctively looked at Judai in the audience, whose eyes were already filled with excitement, and joined Yugen in chanting in unison.
"Born from the depths of the frigid abyss, freeze everything with absolute ice and snow——
——Elemental Hero Absolute Zero!!!" x2
A deep blue domain, like an icy wind, swept across the field. Every inch of space was soaked in severe cold, covered by a layer of clear and transparent ice.
The snowflakes weren't gently floating down; they danced like a blizzard. In the center of the pure white domain, a white cloak fluttered, and a flawless white hero crossed arms, becoming the core of ice and snow.
[Elemental Hero Absolute Zero, Attack Power 2500]
The strongest existing Elemental Hero, the ice and snow hero who was quite active in the physical card competitive environment. Handed over to Judai by Hibiki Momiji, and evolved under Judai's command.
And now, it arrives in Yugen's hand.
Hibiki Midori, seeing this strongest hero standing on the final stage, felt touched, and her eyes were wet with emotion.
"Momiji..."
The duel audience was naturally shocked that Yugen would suddenly bring out such a trump card, but although the Judge's eyebrows raised slightly, he quickly regained his composure.
"Just another defeated opponent." said the Judge, "Summoning this monster at this point, what good does it do?"
Although he defeated Judai and Momiji, it seems that he did not take any rare cards from them according to the card wager rules, probably out of disinterest. Even though breaking the rules, when Malik won against Mai and Joey in the original Duel City, he also didn't take any cards from them, suggesting a lack of interest.
Precisely because of this, Absolute Zero Hero could be handed from Hibiki Momiji to Judai and now passed to Yugen.
Yugen, who frequently packed "Elemental Hero Bubbleman," and given that the fusion deck of this era had no limit on the number of cards, naturally found it not a burden to include Absolute Zero.
Yugen ignored the Judge and revealed another card from his hand: "Magic Card 'Sudden Mutation'!"
"That card again?" the Judge frowned.
"Sacrifice the monster on the field to mutate it into a Fusion Monster of the same level.
I sacrifice 'Elemental Hero Absolute Zero.'
Yugen made a broad gesture, and the ice and snow instantly turned into a storm, enveloping the pure white hero within.
This is the correct way to play Absolute Zero; exiting is his strongest moment.
"Upon leaving the field, his effect also activates," said Yugen. "When this card leaves the field, all monsters on the opponent's field are destroyed!"
This is a new effect given to the card by Judai.
"Absolute Zero!"
The power of absolute freezing encompassed the Judge's entire field, instantly freezing everything. Yubel and Chidara in the backfield were both turned into ice sculptures, soon with cracks appearing, and shattered with a series of cracking sounds.
The Judge said nothing, but his face had darkened.
Yubel's evolved form's final word is unique to Judai's spirit, and the Judge's Yubel, without substance, naturally had no effect when destroyed.
Orichalcos Qidala did have a final word; upon leaving the field, it could summon "Orichalcos Silenos" from the deck. But the Judge did not activate this effect.
Silenos' attack and defense are based on the damage absorbed while Chidara is on the field; Chidara was quickly dealt with, and Silenos would not be more than a massive target upon appearing. He clearly decided Silenos had a more significant role than serving as a shield, so he did not trigger this last word.
Yugen knows very well that "Orichalcos Silenos" also has a final word upon leaving the field, summoning the true trump card of the Orichalcos deck, the ultimate boss with infinite Attack Power: "Vennominaga the Deity of Poisonous Snakes."
But he bombed the field fearlessly, not worried about triggering this final word because he knew one more condition for the appearance of Vennominaga was unmet.
That condition is more than ten thousand Life Points.
The Duelist must, when Silenos leaves the field, and a total of more than ten thousand LP are sacrificed, allow Vennominaga to appear. At the moment, the Judge's LP is only 1200, far from sufficient, so he could confidently output, not fearing Vennominaga's entrance.
The Judge, though unaware of his inner thoughts, faintly felt a strange discomfort as if his strategies were completely seen through, becoming progressively more frustrated, and his expression darkened.
"Elemental Hero Absolute Zero's Star Level is Eight, so with the 'Sudden Mutation' effect, I can Special Summon an eight-star Fusion Monster.
And what I'm going to summon is this card—"
Yugen's Duel Disc opened the area for placing Fusion Monsters, and a monster automatically ejected into his hand. He held that card high, and suddenly there was a flash of electricity in the field, accompanied by the friction of metal parts, mechanical operations, and the roar of a heavy engine.
"Level Eight—
——Cyber Twin Dragons!!!"
