Hearing the introduction from the other side, Yugen slightly frowned.
New Doma also has a Three Musketeers?
He remembered the Three Musketeers of the old Doma. Rafiru, Ameluda, and Balrog, none of them were easy to deal with. Rafiru even managed to defeat Ousama in one of his rare losses, accomplishing a feat no other boss could, becoming a legend during the DM period.
But those three have already turned over a new leaf, the chances of being dragged back into this are slim. However, Yugen pondered that the new Doma has also come up with a Three Musketeers, and they shouldn't be too far behind their predecessors, right?
The other side even suggested a two-against-one, so naturally Yugen and Judai had no reason to refuse. After all, in Yu-Gi-Oh!, two against one means double the resources, and the advantage is absolute.
This person has also stated that there's no way they will let them leave, so naturally, it's a fight to the finish.
Sher: "You each have 4000 Life Points, the field and graveyard are shared, while I use a total of 8000 Life Points. The rules follow the standard team battle rules."
The so-called standard team battle rules mean both sides are divided into two teams, each team takes turns for one round. And each time a team's turn comes, the active player must switch.
To illustrate this duel, if this Doma Swordsman named Sher goes first, the next turn is Yugen's, then again Sher's, and then it will be Judai's turn, and so on.
The time when President Kaiba fought three people at once did not follow the standard team rules, but rather the "battle royale mode" rules, which are informal village rules. Though he fought three at once, each participant was regarded as a separate faction.
So it was unrealistic for him to win as the other side had three turns while he had just one. If it weren't for someone like the president, with such inflated confidence, it's nearly impossible for anyone to use these village rules to fight a group battle.
But speaking of it, back then Dazi fought both Seto and Kaiba alone and seemingly used these village rules too. Dazi had one turn while the other side had two, and despite this, he almost won, which shows what a significant cheater he was.
But anyway, two against one, the advantage is still on this side.
"Duel!" x3
[Judai, LP 4000]
[Yugen, LP 4000]
[Sher, LP 8000]
"It's my first turn, draw!"
The random result decided that Judai's side would have the first turn.
"I summon 'Elemental Hero Bubbleman' in attack position!"
[Elemental Hero Bubbleman, Attack Power 800]
Judai: "When Bubbleman is successfully summoned and there are no other cards on my field, I can draw two cards from my deck!" (Anime effect)
Bubbleman, an essential divine artifact for Judai's comebacks with an empty field, is nicknamed "Strong Desire Hero" due to this iconic anime effect—once played, it violently draws two cards, incredibly powerful.
Although Yugen is currently not interested in building an Elemental Hero deck, he still obtained the Strong Desire Hero. Even if not playing heroes in the current meta, Bubbleman has a lot of value as a supplement in other decks and might be needed in specific decks in the future.
"Then, I activate the Magic Card 'Fusion' from my hand!" Judai said, "I fuse 'Elemental Hero Bubbleman' on the field with 'Elemental Hero Clayman' from my hand!
Combining steadfast bodies to form a barrier for my allies, Fusion Summon—
——Elemental Hero Mudball!"
The figures of Bubbleman and Clayman disappeared in the whirlpool of fusion, a column of water erupted, and a solid body landed heavily on Judai's field, crossing its arms like a massive fortress.
[Elemental Hero Mudball, Defense Power 3000]
Although a mere Mortal Bone, it possesses a noble backside comparable to Blue-Eyes White Dragon Level, making it a reasonably adequate starter defense.
Judai: "Then, set one card in the back row, end my turn."
"A Hero Card Deck, huh. But becoming a hero isn't that simple." Sher said coldly, "My turn, draw."
He added the card drawn from the deck to his hand, and then slowly drew another card from his hand.
"First, I activate this card, transforming this duel into a grand ritual for the True God—
——Field Spell 'Orichalcos Barrier'!!!"
An eerie green barrier expanded from beneath him, a pillar of light shot into the sky. Green light appeared in Sher's eyes, a symbol of a hexagram reflected on his forehead, as if his whole body burst forth with green flames.
Seeing this display for the first time, Judai was startled: "What is this?"
"The barrier for a Dark Duel." Yugen said, "In this duel, the soul of the loser is drawn away."
Having previously explained the concept of "dying from card games" to Judai, he was quick to accept this setting. Though he said nothing, his expression was more solemn than usual.
"Oh, you know quite a bit for a student."
By now, Sher's garment stirred by the green light had gently fallen. Having activated the barrier, his presence indeed grew stronger by a substantial margin, as if borrowing more authority from the Evil God in some unknown dimension.
Though both inhabit the barrier, Sher undoubtedly surpassed Thief Keith in strength.
However, Judai's a reincarnated powerhouse, his Destiny Power second to none; even with a barrier to suppress him, he might not necessarily be at a disadvantage.
"Indeed, the soul of the loser in this duel will become nourishment for the God." Sher said calmly, "I summon 'Nephthys Guardian' in attack position from my hand."
A gold-armored maiden arrived on the field, wielding a heavy golden sword with vacant eyes. Upon landing, the Orichalcos insignia immediately appeared on her forehead.
[Nephthys Guardian, Attack Power 1400]
Yugen raised an eyebrow.
It really appeared, a Nephthys Deck.
Could it be that his prior inward prayer to the idol was pious enough, heard by the Phoenix God, who specifically guided a delivery person to send this Card Deck...
"'Nephthys Guardian,' activate effect." Sher said, "I can choose to destroy one card in my hand, then special summon one level four or lower 'Nephthys' monster from my hand.
Therefore, I destroy a card in my hand and special summon the 'Nephthys Guide' from my hand!"
The card in hand was incinerated under flame effects, followed closely by a new dark-skinned maiden wearing a golden helmet appearing on the field.
Yet, a hexagram badge immediately appeared on her forehead as well, her eyes void, like a hollow puppet.
[Nephthys Guide, Attack Power 600]
Sher then continued to raise his arm.
"Nephthys Guide, activate effect. Sacrifice a monster on my field and this card, to special summon a 'Nephthys' Phoenix God' from hand or deck!
I sacrifice 'Nephthys Guide' and 'Nephthys Guardian'!
An ancient sleeping power, awaken with all-consuming flames, deliver victory into my hands—
——Nephthys' Phoenix God, Summon!!!"
The darkened sky turned fiery red in an instant as if ignited by flames. In the dazzling firelight, a radiant light burst through a fiery cloud, swooping downwards.
The Phoenix God, bathed in flames, has its golden body immersed in the blazing light as if forged from fire. Its eyes burn like stars, its vast fiery wings tracing splendid trails in the sky.
