Chapter 112 - Chapter 100: Dreaming Back to Egypt Arc

The cards were all played, and it only took a few minutes. But the entire camp filled with elves was momentarily silent.

What can we say?

The Hero's duel was a bit different from what they imagined...

In fact, there were two elves returning from the White Bone King's cave present, and when they saw the captain actually wanting to play cards with the Hero, one of them initially wanted to remind the captain.

But the other elf pulled him back.

The elf chuckled and said, "Don't rush, let's watch first, it might be interesting."

The elf that was pulled back thought about it and found his teammate made sense.

So they remained silent, munching on sunflower seeds and watching the captain get beaten with a laugh.

Sure enough, it was indeed amusing.

The captain, who had been knocked down in one blow, closed his eyes and carefully reviewed the duel that just took place.

Now that he recalled, he suddenly felt that throughout the entire duel, he seemed to have done nothing. His hand of cards was either discarded before he could play them, turned into a box once they hit the ground, or even worse, stolen by the opponent...

To be honest, if not for the respect he had for the Hero, he might have almost thrown off his duel disc and drawn his sword to slash someone.

But now that the fight was over and he calmed down, he thought carefully about the duel again, especially thinking that if he could learn such skills and bring joy to those detestable minions of the Evil Gods with a duel...

The captain couldn't help but twitch the corner of his mouth at this thought.

"Hehe... hehehe..."

He couldn't help but laugh out loud.

The surrounding elves looked at each other, a little worried.

Could it be that... the captain was broken by the duel just now?

At this moment, a warrior rushed in from the outside.

"Captain! Reporting!"

The warrior said hastily.

"The red-clothed, jellyfish-haired otherworldly person you asked me to find... seems to have been found!"

...

...

Meanwhile, Judai was enjoying his meal.

If it were any other student who suddenly slipped and fell into an Otherworld, they might have been frightened out of their wits, but not the nerve-racked Judai.

After a brief panic, he quickly accepted this setting, wandered around for a while, and even embodied the spirit of helping others in the Otherworld by lending a hand when he saw an old lady struggling with a heavily loaded cart by the roadside.

Then, under the old lady's insistent invitation, he joined for a meal, finishing three big bowls. Now he was patting his round belly as he continued to stroll.

"No, no, it's not the time for eating now... hic~" Judai sighed, "It seems Yugen is also here, gotta find him quickly. And I need to find a way back to the Academy before daylight, or I'll get expelled if discovered..."

The Feathered Chestnut Ball floating beside him: "Kurikuri~"

Chestnut Ball disagreed, feeling that wasn't the issue to worry about right now...

"Huh?" Judai suddenly cradled the Chestnut Ball, finally realizing, "Wait, how is it that I can touch you now, Feathered Chestnut Ball?"

Until just now, Judai, who was busy stuffing himself, didn't realize he was in the world of elves.

"Kuri!"

The Chestnut Ball suddenly shouted, flapping its wings to take off and crash into Judai, sending him tumbling sideways.

Judai unceremoniously fell to the ground, and in that instant saw a poisonous needle almost grazing past his face, striking the ground with a thud.

"What?"

Judai turned his head in surprise, only to see a creature resembling an insect standing on a slope nearby. Clad in armor, wielding a sword and shield under a cloak, it stood in a humanoid posture but with a head resembling an insect.

An Insect Knight.

"Huh? Why does it seem familiar..."

Judai slapped his forehead, suddenly realizing.

"Wait a minute, aren't you a card?!"

[Beetle Armored Knight], Four-Star, Attack Power 1900, Mortal Bone.

Beetle Armored Knight snorted coldly: "Indeed a Duelist, blocked by that small fry elf? My scout said the White Bone King fell at the hands of an Otherworld Warrior... was that you?"

Judai was bewildered: "What... what King?"

The Bug Knight leaped down, just as he was about to make another move, suddenly sensed something, and his expression changed.

A domineering Sword Qi suddenly slashed at him from behind!

With a sudden attack, the Bug Knight had no time to react. But the ground beneath him suddenly loosened, and an Insect Race Elf sprang out unexpectedly, shielding the Sword Qi with its body, shattering into pieces on the spot.

This was part of the Beetle Armored Knight's card deck, a subordinate that leaped out in a surprise attack to block the strike. However, the aftermath of the Sword Qi blasted the Beetle Armored Knight to roll awkwardly twice.

Upon looking up, he saw the Chaos Swordsman descending from above, his sword wrapped in chaotic light and darkness, cleaving towards him with immense force.

"The legendary Warrior!"

The Beetle Armored Knight was greatly alarmed. However, its reaction was incredibly swift, rolling and instantly pulling a card from its hand to play rapidly.

"Blast Armor!"

Trap Card - Blast Armor, capable of a powerful counterstrike against various strong elves.

The energy of the Blast Armor burst forth, striking the descending Chaos Warrior, but only colliding with a faint golden protective shield before dissipating.

It was ineffective!

The Beetle Armored Knight was shocked: "An additional protective magic!?"

The glow wrapped around the Chaos Warrior was [Power of the Guardian]. An Equipment Magic, allowing monsters to accumulate Mana Indicators during battle, offering protection from combat and effect destruction.

Moreover, at this critical juncture, the Beetle Armored Knight's back chilled.

In the corner of its compound eyes, the silver-haired White Robe Mage was seen intercepting it from behind at an unknown time, with the Magic Staff in hand gathering magic, ready to unleash in its direction.

With attacks from both sides, there's no escape.

However...

"Counterattack Trap - Attack Powerlessness!"

A powerful vortex exploded, centering on him, drawing in forth the energies unleashed by Chaos Warrior and Silent Magician into the swirling maelstrom. Consequently, a massive recoil storm forced both to momentarily retreat.

"Phew~ That was close."

The Beetle Armored Knight stood, coldly assessing the two elves, with his gaze inevitably shifting to the back.

The direction where the duelist hid commanding the elves into battle.

The Beetle Armored Knight sternly spoke: "So, it's not just one otherworldly person who came?"

Yugen stepped out from where his gaze directed: "Well, it seems like we must resolve this through dueling..."

The rapid alternation of a few moves just now suddenly brought back memories of the Egypt arc, as if returning to the DM King's Memory version of Pokémon-on-Pokémon brawls...

Perhaps that is why they say battles between duelists must be settled through card games. Unless one side wields overwhelmingly powerful elves like the Three Phantom Gods capable of single-handedly obliterating all opposing forces, it's almost impossible to determine a winner otherwise when everyone's summoning monsters without cost restriction skills.

"I see, so it appears you are the duelist who defeated the White Bone King. But regardless of who it is, having trespassed into the god's domain, you must become the god's sacrifice."

The Beetle Armored Knight flung his hand, revealing a Duel Disc.

"Enough talk, let's duel!"

"Duel!"

The bewildered Judai hadn't caught up with the pace, still not entirely understanding what transpired. But he had just realized one thing: Yugen seemed about to combat them with cards.

Judai mumbled softly: "I kind of want to duel with the elf myself..."

As the protagonist who witnessed the most dueling matches across the entire Yu-Gi-Oh! series, this might be the first time for Judai that a card game was snatched away from him...
