Chapter 97 - Chapter 81: Damn Crocodile!

Chopper wiped the sweat from his forehead and pointed at the ground, which was filled with well-prepared medicine, saying, "This medicine can treat external injuries very well. Next time you have such injuries, you can use this medicine."

"So, so amazing! Dr. Chopper, your medical skills are truly superb!"

Gin widened his eyes, squatted down, and held Chopper's hoof, saying, "Compared to those doctors who give up when faced with difficulty, you are the doctor with true integrity!"

Chopper's face turned red, his body twisting like a wave, "Being praised like this by you doesn't make me happy at all, idiot!"

Isn't he clearly happy?

Gin solemnly said, "Dr. Chopper, please come with me to see the Captain. When the Captain hears this news, he will surely be very pleased!"

"No, my companions are still waiting for me, I have to go back."

Chopper pulled his hoof away from Gin's grasp, thought for a moment, then struck a cool pose with his hoof, grinning:

"I'm a doctor, saving people is my duty, no need for too much gratitude."

"Oh! What a noble statement!"

Gin said excitedly, "Then let your companions come along too. The Captain is throwing a banquet, and you will surely be approved to join. Then we can properly thank you. I'll go with you to find your companions and personally invite them!"

...

Inside a shop, Sage opened a bottle of wine and smelled it, nodding, "Not bad, as expected from the desert area, the quality of the wine is very good."

He waved his hand, and Mute behind him took out a bag of gold coins and placed it on the counter, making the shopkeeper's eyes widen.

"I'm buying all the wine in this store, this is the deposit, someone will inform you later where to deliver it."

"Yes, yes! Sir, I will definitely deliver it on time!" The shopkeeper said flatteringly.

Sage walked out of the shop, glanced at the still windy and rainy gloomy sky, shook his head, and was about to continue forward with Mute.

"My glasses, my glasses, the rain is too heavy, my glasses have been blown away!"

A woman in front was kneeling on the ground, groping around with her hands, and right in front of her was a pair of glasses.

"One meter in front." Sage casually mentioned.

The woman reached out and found the glasses, wiped them, and put them on, revealing a smile and bowing apologetically:

"Thank you very much, my eyesight is not good, I can't see from afar... Norton Sage!"

Her eyes shrank violently just as her vision restored. The woman instinctively gripped the hilt of her sword, drew the blade instantly with both hands, swinging it fiercely forward.

Bam!

A huge blade struck against that sword, sending the woman's body flying backward, hitting the ground.

"Ugh!!"

Mute held an umbrella with one hand, drawing a sword with the other from behind his back, guarding Sage fiercely and showing teeth to the woman.

"Do you know me..."

Sage looked with interest, "Bounty Hunter? Or..."

"Capture Straw Hat!!"

A group of Navy soldiers charged out from the front with weapons, rushing straight towards Sage, while a figure as agile as a monkey suddenly darted beside him.

"Tashigi, Straw Hat..."

Behind those Navy soldiers, a tall man had not finished his sentence, suddenly stopping in his tracks behind the fallen Tashigi, staring straightforwardly at Sage under the umbrella.

With two cigars in his mouth, a head of short silver hair, a burly figure over two meters tall wearing only a Navy coat, and a jitte strapped across his back.

"Tashigi..." the man spoke deeply.

Tashigi got up from the ground, tightly gripping the sword hilt aimed at Sage.

"You lead the men to chase Straw Hat, leave this to me."

"Yes!"

Tashigi took a deep look at Sage, then joined the pursuing Navy soldiers.

The man exhaled a mouthful of smoke slowly, "Today's really great, not only did we find Straw Hat, but also discovered you. I've always wondered when you'd come to the Grand Line, never thought we'd run into each other now..."

"Norton Sage!" he suddenly shouted out.

Rumble!!

A Thunderbolt in the sky split the clouds above, lighting up the storm-darkened city, illuminating the shadowed face under the umbrella.

The dark clouds slowly dispersed, the descending rain dwindling until it completely stopped, revealing the brilliant sun in the sky, gradually raising the temperature of the place.

The dry wind from the desert blew along the street, ruffling Sage's fur cape and stirring his white hair, revealing a gradually fierce smile.

"So it's the Navy..."
