Chapter 71 - Chapter 68: Live Merchandise Sale!

Crack!

Sage pulled his legs out of the ground, clenched his fists, and looked at Zephyr with even more fighting spirit in his eyes, his face more reckless than anyone else's.

"Hohohoho! So that's how the technique works!"

"Don't get too cocky, kid!"

Zephyr took a deep breath, his figure flickered and dashed forward, his left fist's Haki flared once more as he delivered a powerful punch.

Boom!

The loud noise erupted in front of the small tavern, as several black-clad bodyguards shattered the doors and walls, leaving a big hole in the tavern.

Gin swung his cane, the iron ball on it spinning around, hitting the ground beside Link's head with a snap, creating a dent.

Meanwhile, Pearl grabbed the heads of two black-clad bodyguards and smashed them against the wall, leaving two imprints.

"So..."

Gin rested the cane with the iron ball on his shoulder, looking down at Link, "The goods are prepared for you, where's the money?"

"Here! I give!"

Link was pale with fear, panicked, "Ten billion Belly, we'll keep our promise, we'll give it!"

The remaining black market merchants were equally terrified.

They originally didn't want to give it because Zephyr had arrived.

The young pirates of today might not know the name 'Black Arm', but black market merchants who value intelligence couldn't possibly not know.

Eastern Sea's small pirates, no matter how fierce, couldn't possibly be opponents for Black Arm.

Of course, they wanted to renege on the deal.

But things clearly went beyond their expectations, as this group of pirates didn't run away, but instead were really stealing goods, and even piled them up outside the town, now coming directly for the money.

That 'calamity' was too brazen!

If they didn't pay...

Link's gaze shifted to the iron ball smashed beside him, swallowing hard, accepting his fate.

Their money was already ready, packed in ten large leather bags. Gin glanced at the battered tavern, took off the golden bracelet from his wrist, tossed it to the tavern elder, and picked up a black bag to leave with the other pirates.

"What now?"

Seeing the pirates leave, the other black market merchants supported Link up, asking

Money, they had given.

But this money couldn't be given for nothing.

The goods were piled up outside the town, taking them was useless. Facing 'Black Arm', even if they took the goods, they'd still be pursued.

But not taking...

That's ten billion Belly!

Link looked at the still-frightened merchants, hesitated for a moment, then gritted his teeth, "Since Sage dares to snatch on the spot, we'll sell on the spot!"

Stockpiling would be impossible, at the very least they must ensure no loss!

"How to sell on the spot?" The black market merchants were stunned.

"Sell to those who need it!"

Link showed a hint of ruthlessness, "It's all high-quality goods, sourced from the Rich District and Commercial Street, sell it at cost to the commoners, they'll surely want it, even if the Navy wants to seize it back, they can't!"

The black market merchants gritted their teeth, "Then let's do that, go outside, spread the goods around!"

The islands and towns don't match in proportion, every island doesn't just have one town, there are villages and wastelands too, like outside Logue Town there's some wasteland, different from the ready ports.

In that wasteland, a large amount of goods stolen by pirates were piled up, barrels and boxes of jewels, medicines, weapons, and even heirlooms stolen from the rich nobles.

These things aren't worth much, only have historical value, but pirates don't care about these, they value the purity of gold and the elegance of jewels, the truly valuable things had long been moved onto ships, what remained were some ordinary items.

Black market merchants sent their men to the wasteland, directly grabbing items and dashing into the commoner district.

Because of the pirate raid, they were hiding at home, which gave the merchants a chance to market the goods.

As for not opening the door...

Bam!

Link, with a group of subordinates, kicked open the door of a two-story building, and before the startled commoners inside could scream, he threw out a few Belly notes, making them shut up.

"Big sale, dear customers!"

Link said with a smile, casually taking out a hat embedded with coarse-crushed gemstones from a barrel, "First, allow me to introduce today's product, a gemstone-rimmed hat, priced at..."

He glanced at the tag below the hat, "Five hundred thousand Belly! But dear customers, today marks the twenty-second anniversary of Pirate King Gol D. Roger's death, so everything is discounted, celebrating the opening of the Great Pirate Era for twenty-two years, this hat is only two hundred thousand Belly!"

"Original price five hundred thousand Belly, now only two hundred thousand Belly, wouldn't you want to wear a hat adorned with gemstones to attract envious glances when you go out? Two hundred thousand Belly, for something you wouldn't dare to buy when strolling, now can be yours!"

The family of three was clearly stunned, the man dumbly looking at the hat in Link's hand, blinking, not reacting immediately, and subconsciously saying, "Pirate King... wasn't his death anniversary seven days ago?"

"Doesn't matter, there's a custom in the West Sea, memorials can also be held seven days after death!" Link replied.

"Is, is that so..." the man's head was a bit confused.

"Two, two hundred thousand?"

But the woman's eyes lit up, "Really only two hundred thousand?"

"Of course! Two hundred thousand Belly, and this hat can belong to your family. However, since it's the Pirate King's anniversary, not allowed by the World Government, so there's no shopping receipt, is that alright?"

"No qu..."

"No way."

Just as the woman was about to speak, the man decisively shook his head.

This made Link's expression stiffen, but before he could speak, the man added, "Too expensive, impractical, don't want that, let's see something else."

Link's lips curled into a promotional salesperson's smile, "Alright, customers, we have... everything!"

He pulled out a Western sword from the barrel, "Do you like swords? I think every home needs a weapon for self-defense, especially in the Great Pirate Era when pirates might attack and the Navy can't protect us, we can protect ourselves, that's when a fine weapon is necessary."

"This sword is priced at eight hundred thousand Belly on the market, but if you want it, you can take it for four hundred thousand Belly. Of course, I'm not saying Logue Town isn't safe, but accidents happen, and as a self-defense item, it's perfect."

"Imagine, walking down the street with such a fine weapon, others would think you're a powerful swordsman, street thugs and gangs wouldn't dare to mess with you. Plus, if you add ten thousand, we also have a gun and sword combo, including a flintlock gun and a set of bullets. A rare opportunity, don't miss it."

The man pondered for a while, looking at the exquisite sword, then at the flintlock gun Link took from the barrel, gritted his teeth, "Fifty thousand Belly is too expensive, is there anything cheaper..."

"Yes!"

As long as the goods were sold, any amount would do.

After all, the cost of these things was no big deal, discounting from the market price, it's still profitable.
