Sage said there were people at the port, but when Lily arrived, she only saw the navy and pirates fainted on the ground. There were no traces of any ships on the sea, except for the merchant and pirate ships docked there.
Just as Lily was about to ask, her gaze suddenly locked onto something, staring in surprise at the sea where there should have been nothing, now approaching were some ship outlines...
"Navy?"
Lily took out the binoculars hanging from her waist and scanned, exclaiming in surprise.
Only now could she see clearly with the binoculars that when Sage said someone was coming, these warships hadn't appeared.
"Is this the power of Haki..." she murmured.
Haki, Sage confidently set out for the Grand Line because he'd mastered this power.
However, Sage said he couldn't teach it. This power is of the heart and will and can only be mastered through battles with strong opponents. If Sage were to teach it to Lily, he wouldn't fight her to death, and even forceful teaching would be slow.
It still depends on oneself.
She shook her head, dismissing this thought, and focused intently on the warships on the sea, and said: "Sage, there are a total of ten warships."
Of course, these are not the kind of ten large warships of a Buster Call, just ordinary branch warships, likely called in as reinforcements by the navy during the battle with these pirates.
Ten branch warships, each fully manned should have around two hundred people, so ten ships have quite a few people. If it were normal pirates, they'd certainly retreat in the face of such reinforcements.
But Sage is not just an ordinary pirate...
Numbers mean nothing to him.
His pupils flashed a scarlet hue as he glared directly at the sea. The descending storm seemed to freeze under his gaze, the surface of the sea, which was stirring with waves, suddenly stalled as a ripple seemed to blow toward the incoming warships.
Boom!
After a brief silence, thunder roared across the sky, the sound of wind and rain continuing to echo in Logue Town, and the nearby sea waves crashed against the coast.
Sage laughed: "In the East Sea, no one can stop me, at least not at this critical juncture!"
Under the power of Supreme King, no matter how many there are, in his eyes they are just small fry!
The navy in the warships had already been knocked unconscious by his power, but under the sail, the warships still kept heading towards Logue Town.
"Lily, once the warships hit the shore, take everyone to loot weapons and ammunition, and sell off the surplus outside the town."
Sage headed towards the Death Star, "I'm going back to the ship to have a few drinks; this downpour is giving me a headache."
"Sage, no! There's still one more warship!"
Lily suddenly yelled. Through the binoculars, behind those ten warships appeared a massive navy warship.
"A large warship, from the headquarters, what's going on, why did the headquarters' warship arrive so quickly? How did they reverse the flow over Inverted Mountain?!"
"Hmm?"
Sage looked towards the sea, and indeed, behind those ten warships coming with the wind, appeared the outline of a warship far larger than a branch ship, but after taking a glance, he lost interest.
"The navy has special techniques that allow them to cross the Calm Belt and go straight to the Four Seas. But that's not important. I've said, at this critical juncture, no one can stop me."
Before planning to rob Logue Town, he had studied the navy's deployment as well. Headquarter Vice Admirals do patrol the Four Seas, but they come with missions.
The navy is not that free. They accept missions, unlike pirates who wander the seas, fighting whoever they want.
Like Garp, the 'Navy Hero', unless on vacation, he couldn't have come to the East Sea without a mission.
Just that he's a 'Navy Hero', maybe he's a bit unrestrained, as after all, Sage didn't hear he's being hunted from his mouth.
Moreover, Sage had read in the newspapers that Garp had crossed Inverted Mountain. Whether the rumor is true or not, it's impossible to turn back.
Even if he temporarily turned back, the time wouldn't be enough.
Similarly, even if the naval forces in Logue Town found him and reported to the headquarters for assistance, they wouldn't arrive at Logue Town at this point.
That large warship isn't targeting him.
It should still be targeting this batch of pirates who came to Logue Town early, maybe from some nearby headquarter navy who received orders, so they crossed the Calm Belt to come here.
After all, Logue Town's location is also quite close to the Calm Belt.
They just happened to be caught by Sage by chance.
But even a batch of pirates worth around ten million berries, even if a large warship was sent, it couldn't be any strong force.
Under the pressure of his Supreme King, just being able to stand would be good fortune, at most some headquarter colonel.
Even if they come swiftly, nothing will change.
In this aspect, Sage trusts his plan.
"My plan is perfect..."
"Sage!!"
Boom!!
A meteor swiftly appeared in the sky like a meteorite, rapidly crashing into Sage who was still talking, accompanied by Lily's scream, a huge explosion echoed from the port, raising a massive dust cloud.
In the dust, Sage's figure was nearly becoming a shadow, being violently blasted away, crashing through a building next to the port, and burying him within.
Clang!
Lily instantly drew her thin sword, gripping it with both hands, standing in front of the ruins, watching that cloud of smoke intently.
"Oh? White Thunder? This sword is one of the Fifty Skillful Grade Blades, why is it in your hands, little girl?" A hoarse voice sounded from within the smoke.
Boom!
Before Lily could speak, the ruins behind her exploded, sending rocks flying, as Sage's figure slowly stood up from the debris.
"Sage, are you alright..." Lily turned around to speak, only to pause.
Because at this moment, Sage looked terrifyingly gloomy!
"Ah..."
He tore open his clothes, ripping off the entire top, leaving only a black and red-tipped fur cape, he stepped forward and stood in front of Lily, locking his eyes firmly on the figure within the smoke.
"No way! Absolutely no way!"
Sage clenched his teeth, shouting at the figure within the smoke: "How could it be you, you old undying! Haven't you retired from the navy yet?!"
The smoke gradually dispersed, first revealing a gigantic mechanical arm!
And the owner of that arm was a burly man with purple hair, draped in a navy cloak!
"Why would I retire from the navy?"
The purple-haired man swung his mechanical arm, staring at Sage: "Was that Supreme King just now from you? What's Garp doing, clearly, he was also in the East Sea, yet he didn't notice someone as dangerous as you."
A vein bulged on Sage's forehead as he roared: "So, you specifically came to catch me, huh? Answer me, Zephyr!"
This man, even if Sage's memory was hazy, would never mistake a strong sea warrior for someone else!
The former Navy Admiral, known for 'not killing' as a title in the navy...
Black Arm, Zephyr!!
"What's wrong with the navy arresting pirates?"
Zephyr stared at Sage for a moment, recalling something before realizing: "Oh... I've seen your Wanted Order, Norton Sage, the great criminal who destroyed a Kingdom, highly dangerous!"
"That doesn't matter!"
Sage shouted: "Let me confirm one more time, did you come for me? It's very important to me, even if it's the enemy, answering questions is fine, right!"
Zephyr paused, unsure why this guy was so fixated on it, but still said: "No, I was only patrolling, and just heard that a large group of pirates appeared at Logue Town, so I came to take a look. The marine guerrillas can capture pirates anywhere, not limited to the Grand Line."
So it wasn't aimed at him.
He thought so; how could his plan go wrong?
His assumptions and plan remained correct, but instead, it was Zephyr who came, not some headquarter colonel.
Which means...
He was simply unlucky!
"See, Lily!"
Sage turned back to Lily to explain: "It wasn't my plan that went wrong, it was just bad luck. My plan was perfect, and it wouldn't have failed!"
Lily: "..."
No one asked about that.
Why are you so eager to explain?
Moreover...
Lily glanced at Zephyr; even though Sage called him 'old undying', the aura he exuded wasn't easy to deal with.
He's a strong warrior!
