It has been two hours since the entire group has been running. After running what seemed like a marathon, many of the entrants were finally dropping out of the entire event. Almost 3,000 of the 10,000 entrants had been eliminated.
Running for two hours will definitely be difficult for those who haven't gotten any physical exercise experience frequently. If it were Dorian's old body from his Earth, he absolutely would be mostly eliminated by the 1st hour.
Well, many shared the old 'Dorian' body, which they might have pushed through the first hour, but the second hour consumed them all.
The entire entrance takers have been running in the swampy underground area for quite some time now.
Dorian and Wallace were running side by side, whether it was their athletic bodies, they were infront of several entrance takers. For the entire hour, they had not conversed.
At the same time.
Raihaan was right behind Professor Alfred.
He had not even broken a single sweat.
Those who were tailing Raihaan were not surprised in the slightest. This was Raihaan. The number one Non-Ascender who had even defeated older opponents in the huge tournament every year.
This was a huge feat.
Raihaan, who was just at the cliff of Adolescence, had managed to defeat a powerful opponent. They were famous throughout the entire central region and also somewhat of the entire continent.
Even though he was not an Ascender, he was strong.
Even the Canon academy geniuses and the professor, used to acknowledged Raihaan, who did the impossible.
Raihaan could have been using an Ascender power currently, but no one would even know unless they were a Visual Ascender.
In the back of the entire entrance taker, there was Clair.
Yuniko was pretty far away from Clair.
An hour ago, after sensing no emotions from Clair, Yuniko did not chat with Clair anymore.
By now, Clair had single-handedly made 20 entrance takers fail.
Mostly the professors were observing Clair, Wallace, Raihaan and, surprisingly, Dorian. They were observing Dorian because of Alfred.
Alfred, a man of few words, but his logic knows no bounds. Why would he think Dorian would even be selected and let alone be the number one on the entrance?
It intrigued many, and also because Dorian was right beside Wallace.
Mrs Candace was one of the several professors who were observing. She had been analysing Dorian along with Clair.
Clair was truly extraordinary.
Klein, the old scholar, felt that he had never seen such a talented and intellectual entrance ever. He had seen many House of Holy's young men and women compete, but he saw Clair as the most promising.
Three hours from the start.
After 3 hours of continuous running, of the 10 thousand people, 5 thousand had failed.
5000 remained.
Dorian had been running in the underground area for about 3 hours; he was breaking a sweat, but it wasn't all too difficult.
Wallace was in the same condition as Dorian.
Walking alongside Wallace, Dorian had gotten stares and gazes whenever he passed by anyone.
Here was Dorian walking alongside literally the royalty.
At the same time, in the control room.
Mrs Candace was observing Dorian and Wallace.
Her beautiful face and her purple hair were stunning. The aura that he emitted spoke of elegance. If Dorian saw her, it wasn't an absurd thing to call her the most beautiful lady he had seen in two worlds.
Right now, Mrs Candace saw the clock and announced in the control room.
Mrs Candace from the control room spoke: "It's time, old man Klein".
Klein, the old scholar, pushed a button and closed his eyes. As soon as he had done so, the entire terrain of the swampy underground long area had changed.
The world began to warp. The thick concrete walls of the entire building began to show hues of infinite colours, and the ground started to shake like an earthquake had started. Even if the entrance takers had attributes, they could not stabilise themselves or balance themselves because it happened instantly.
After the entire world began to warp, the vision of Dorian, along with 8000 others, had changed.
"Welcome back, everybody. The director of Canon Academy, Mr Julian, spoke with a smile.
They were in a place where all the examinees were present about 3 hours ago.
A place where the entire exam had started
The place from where the young male professor had started to run. The place where all the paths had started.
The massive building they were taken into.
Everyone's eyes were wide open; some couldn't hold their lips together, and all the mouths started to drool.
The entire hall erupted with the chatter; the most spoken words currently were
"What?"
"How?"
Even Dorian was astonished; his legs felt just moments ago, that they had run for three hours straight, but now his body was the same as before. He was in the same place where he was earlier.
The 5000 who had said, "I fail", were not present at all.
Suddenly, a large noise started resounding through the entire hall, and all the examinees who were discussing and were confused all looked at the source of the noise. It was Mr Julian, the director of Canon Academy.
On top of his head, several meters above, there was a huge metal hammer and a plate-like metal piece. The director had conjured such structures from his Attribute.
"I want you all to know that until now, the test has been conducted right here."
Before the examinee could even respond, he immediately followed.
"What just happened now was that all of the entrance takers had fallen into the spell circle prepared by the Rank 4 professor of the Canon Academy, Mr Klein. As all of you are Rank 1 Ascenders, Mr Klein did not even put much effort"
"But we ran? What happened to those eliminated?"
"You ran a simulation, but it was not real. It constructed what you thought of your body. The long pathway was created by Mr Klein. Those who failed were woken up and immediately, have left the premises"
'My theory was indeed correct. Why do they build such a weird, long path for such The professor said that we construct what we think of ourselves. So if I thought of myself as the one who can push through, I would obviously make it through. Since I knew my body and my limits, it was not necessary, but anyone who wasn't even fit could catch up and endure the constant running if they thought of themselves as if they could.
Simply put, it was indeed a battle of perseverance.'
"I'm sure you have understood. For today, we still have another test remaining. For the next test, half of everyone of you will be eliminated, so please prepare yourself"
Mr Julian, the director's voice bounced off every wall of the entire large hall.
