Chapter 335 - Chapter 196: Is Obito a Cultivation Maniac?

Shisui's performance shocked the Uchiha present.

Hearing others say Shisui learns Ninjutsu quickly and is a genius, and then seeing for themselves that Shisui defeated a Chunin before turning seven, brings a whole new level of impact.

In the Uchiha Clan, not just anyone can be called a genius, because there are too many outstanding ninjas, leading outsiders to believe that being an Uchiha means no poor achievements. This is why the mediocre Obito is dubbed the tail of the Uchiha.

Shisui's displayed strength made all the Uchiha present believe he is a genius among geniuses.

"Shisui, your strength is already so strong, why haven't you graduated yet? The teachers at school can't teach you anything useful anymore." Uchiha Chihiro posed this puzzled question.

If Shisui was a Genin, he would be more cautious due to Obito's fight.

The other Uchiha also looked at Shisui curiously upon hearing Uchiha Chihiro's words, wondering why someone with such strength as Shisui is still studying at the Ninja Academy.

"Graduating early would give you more freedom to manage your time and join the Police Department to contribute to the clan," Uchiha Chihiro stated the benefits of graduating to become a ninja.

He truly feels that Shisui's current strength is wasted at the Ninja Academy.

"I feel there are still some things I need to learn at school. After all, this is my first year, and combat isn't the entirety of being a ninja," Shisui thought for a moment and replied.

He had earlier considered graduating directly in the first grade, but changed his mind after consulting Mokgetsu's opinion.

"What's worth learning in those theoretical courses? Strength is the most important. If one has the power of the God of Ninjas, Senju Hashirama, they can become Hokage without any knowledge," Uchiha Chihiro passionately advised.

He truly cannot bear to see a genius like Shisui go astray, not seizing time to strengthen capabilities and wasting time learning those academic knowledge at the Ninja Academy.

"Chihiro is right. Shisui, don't focus too much on those theoretical courses; they're useless. Mighty ninjutsu and taijutsu are the right path," Uchiha Yoshiaki agreed, expressing his support.

Uchiha Yoshiaki never cared about those so-called theoretical courses at school, only listening in class and never wasting extracurricular time on those academic subjects.

He finds those courses meaningless. Knowing history means nothing as it can't be changed, and mastering those complex mathematics won't enhance his ninjutsu.

"Because I believe merely increasing strength won't save the Uchiha," Shisui wanted to say this and encourage everyone to learn more and gain wisdom.

But Shisui knew this wasn't realistic, as he's merely an Uchiha prodigy now, not an Uchiha powerhouse, stating this would only be seen as odd, not accepted.

"The premise of studying at the Ninja Academy doesn't affect my strength growth," Shisui pondered and explained.

Shisui's words rendered Uchiha Chihiro and Uchiha Yoshiaki speechless, as Shisui is at the academy yet can still defeat a Chunin.

The significant effect of displaying talent and strength was evident, with numerous people coming to Shisui for interaction and exchange.

While addressing cultivation questions, Shisui also seized the chance to ask questions he wanted to know.

"Walking on the streets and people's strange looks? Who cares what they think, they might just be envious of the Uchiha's power," an Uchiha nonchalantly replied.

"After all, we are Konoha's strongest clan."

This answer left Shisui speechless, but he made a mental note.

"After team assignments, how do you get along with team members? Shisui, are you worried about not being able to get along well with teammates later?" The second Uchiha smiled.

"No one hates a strong teammate. Just be yourself, and if you encounter someone you dislike, just ignore them."

Shisui nodded, thinking this clan member was quite reasonable.

Shisui's third conversation partner was Uchiha Inabi, to whom Shisui asked:

"Inabi-senpai, can you tell me about the work at the Police Department?"

The Police Department, entirely controlled by the Uchiha, represents Uchiha interests.

"The Police Department's work mainly involves maintaining village security and apprehending people who violate the rules," Uchiha Inabi briefly explained.

Uchiha Inabi, feeling he might have oversimplified, provided examples to Shisui, such as setting up stalls where one shouldn't set up, street fights, and murderers who harm villagers, all under their jurisdiction.

"But such big incidents are rare, mostly trivial matters, yet even small tasks require seriousness to establish authority, facilitating future actions," Uchiha Inabi shared his insights from other Uchiha.

"The Police Department's work is quite challenging," Shisui remarked, noting how they handle everything from vendors to murderers.

"It's alright, since the department comprises solely clan brothers, making it easy to relax," Uchiha Inabi explained.

Shisui nodded, sensing a strong connection between the Uchiha's current situation and the Police Department.

It's perfectly normal for others to feel apprehensive about a clan solely controlling such a significant department, considering even the powerful Senju never monopolized a department.

What worries Shisui is the Uchiha seem to take it for granted, believing the strong Uchiha should solely manage the Police Department.

Shisui engaged with as many Uchiha as possible to collect their perspectives, summarizing the information he discovered both good and bad news.

The good news is, contrary to his concerns, young Uchihas aren't as radical, not plotting to overthrow Konoha and become Hokage.

The bad news, however, is that they take immense pride in an all-clan Police Squad, loving it dearly.

Additionally, there are minor issues, like the majority of Uchiha not caring about outsiders, prioritizing power significantly over other matters.

When the exchange meeting ended, Obito and Shisui were called over by Uchiha Fugaku and Uchiha Yashiro.

"Uncle Fugaku, is there something you need?" Shisui, who was more familiar with Uchiha Fugaku, directly asked.

Now I just want to go home, organize all the information completely, and then head over to Mokgetsu for training.

Uchiha Fugaku smiled, gestured for them to sit down, and then said, "There's nothing specific, I just wanted to have a chat with you both."

"Shisui, when do you plan to graduate and become a ninja?" Uchiha Fugaku asked.

The Ninja Academy has a special early graduation exam, which is harder than the regular graduation exam, meant for geniuses like Shisui.

So in Fugaku's eyes, Shisui can become a ninja whenever he wants.

Shisui replied to Uchiha Chihiro's question, answering Fugaku.

"I see, at your current age, staying at the Ninja Academy for a while longer doesn't hurt." Uchiha Fugaku nodded with a smile, not negating Shisui's words.

"Shisui, you have exceptional ninja talent. In my eyes, your talent even surpasses Senior Kagami's. Just now, seeing you fight, my mind instinctively remembered Senior Kagami's spirited demeanor." Uchiha Fugaku praised.

Fugaku's words firmed Shisui's resolve. He intends to accomplish what his grandfather could not.

"Uncle Yashiro, are you going to distribute advanced Fire Release Ninjutsu?" Obito looked at Uchiha Yashiro expectantly.

He attended the exchange meeting for the rewards.

Uchiha Yashiro, looking at Obito's earnest expression, couldn't help but smile; it's the first time someone has asked him so straightforwardly for advanced Fire Release.

"For a genius like you, the clan certainly won't be stingy; Fire Release Ninjutsu is a given." Uchiha Yashiro said with a smile.

"I'm glad you listened to what I said, keep up the hard work, and maintain your momentum for improvement."

Obito scratched his head, trying to recall what Uchiha Yashiro had said to him but couldn't seem to remember.

"Never mind, let's just get the Fire Release Ninjutsu first." To not affect the reward, Obito nodded solemnly.

"With your ability, passing the Chunin Examination is no longer an issue. You should aim to become a Chunin quickly, then, upon your application, the clan can arrange for you to join the Police Department directly." Uchiha Yashiro continued.

With Obito's current ability, passing the Chunin Examination to become a Chunin is the fastest way to enter the Police Department.

"At that point, you can seek guidance from many clan seniors, and I'll teach you all the Fire Release techniques I know." Uchiha Yashiro spoke of the benefits of entering the Police Department.

"I don't want to join the Police Department; I prefer to take on out-of-village, cross-country missions." Obito shook his head, saying he has no problem becoming a Chunin, but he's not interested in joining the Police Department.

Uchiha Yashiro was stunned; this was the first time he saw a Uchiha reject his Police Department invitation.

Uchiha Yashiro explained some of the advantages of the Police Department to Obito, such as all colleagues being family brothers, a smooth promotion path, and considerable power.

Listening to Uchiha Yashiro talk about those complicated things, Obito felt overwhelmed and quickly expressed that he's now only interested in enhancing his strength, steering the topic back to ninjutsu.

"Ah, the type obsessed with training." Uchiha Yashiro speculated about Obito's personality, so he didn't bring up the Police Department again.

Regardless of joining or not joining the Police Department, Obito is a ninja of the Uchiha Clan, and that won't change.

"How about the Mighty Dragon Fire Jutsu? It suits your current stage." Uchiha Yashiro thought for a moment and said.

"Ah, I already know the Mighty Dragon Fire Jutsu, anything else?" Obito hoped for a different one.

Uchiha Yashiro fell into thought; advanced Fire Release is available, but it's temporarily unsuitable for Obito.

"I'll think about it; once the reward is decided, I'll send it to your house." Uchiha Yashiro said, needing to discuss it with Uchiha Fugaku.

Obito nodded, not knowing which technique it would be, but at least he'll get a reward.

Since Shisui needed to organize some information, Obito went alone to train in the Southern Border Forest. When he thought of Kakashi diligently training for hours while he was at the exchange meeting, Obito couldn't help but quicken his pace.

Seeing Kakashi practicing Full Concentration Breathing, Obito immediately joined the training, not resting to eat until after one o'clock.

"I have something to do and need to go out for a bit, you can continue training on your own," Mokgetsu said.

Teacher Chen's meeting time with him was at 2 pm today, and it was nearing time.

"Is it about the Ninja Academy?" Obito curiously asked, as the Ninja Academy was about to start a new term.

"No, it's to have an exchange with Teacher Chen," Mokgetsu shook his head, answering that he had delegated Ninja Academy matters to his Shadow Clones.

"Teacher Chen? The one guiding Guy." Obito recognized the name, since it led to Kakashi ridiculing him for being ignorant.

"Can I come along?" Obito wanted to see firsthand what the strongest Konoha Taijutsu looks like.

At this time, Obito had already imagined a terrifying burly man over two meters tall with explosive muscles.

Mokgetsu thought about it, then nodded. It wasn't a big deal anyway.
