Chapter 264 - Chapter 151: Master Level Taijutsu

"Might Guy is really not to be underestimated. Although his attack method is only Taijutsu, it is incredibly strong," Shiranui Genma remarked with a sigh.

Initially, he was more optimistic about Obito because Obito was already very skilled in Ninjutsu, and this time he also displayed strong Taijutsu, making him without weaknesses.

"Could it be that Might Guy's father is a formidable Taijutsu ninja? It's unbelievable how strong he is," Ebisu pondered deeply.

The scene was abuzz with discussion; the performance of Might Guy and Obito in the recent battle was far beyond what ordinary students could comprehend.

"I didn't expect you'd be hiding something, too, Guy," Obito said weakly.

Having endured Might Guy's full-powered kick aided by the opening of the Eight Gates and a concentrated breathing elbow strike, Obito felt that without the Breath of Flame, he might have fainted.

"Haha, I just didn't have a chance to use it before," Might Guy laughed, revealing a bright white smile.

He didn't deliberately hide it; this was the first Genjutsu he learned to dispel after mastering it.

Might Guy reached out his hand to Obito, who grasped it, and then Might Guy helped Obito out of the battle arena; there was still a four-into-two match to be held next.

"Obito, are you okay?" Nohara Rin asked softly, concerned.

Hearing Rin's words, Obito suddenly felt healed and walked a few steps with his head held high in front of Rin, saying:

"No problem, what's the big deal? Just got hit a couple of times."

"Really?" Rin looked at Obito skeptically, poking his side where he was elbowed.

"Tch!" Obito felt a piercing pain surging, his eyes widening as he took a sharp breath.

"Saying you're fine, your face has gone white from the pain," Rin noted, sternly staring into Obito's eyes.

"I was watching your battle with Guy the whole time. When you landed, it looked like the ground was going to crack open. How could you be fine?"

Obito remained silent, not speaking; he wanted to be the strong one in Rin's eyes, how could a strong person admit pain?

"Let me treat you," Nohara Rin said with a helpless expression, about to take Obito to the side for healing.

"Guy, you come too; you might have been injured by the Fire Release. It would be bad if it affects the upcoming battle."

Might Guy nodded. He wasn't yet at the level of resisting Ninjutsu without injury; he had indeed gotten a bit hurt resisting the Phoenix Fire, though he could endure it with willpower.

Mokgetsu observed this scene and decided not to intervene since he wouldn't compete with Rin for such a small task.

The three of them moved away from the crowd and began healing under a quiet big tree.

Rin's hands glowed with a green Chakra light, which she placed on Obito's abdomen.

She had been learning Medical Ninjutsu for over five months and could perform basic healing.

"Thanks, sorry to trouble you, Rin," Obito scratched his head, thanking her.

Although his facade of strength was broken, making him feel a bit uneasy, Obito was still very grateful to Rin.

Might Guy also thanked her, giving a thumbs-up with a bright smile: "I've instantly recovered to my peak, thanks a lot!"

"I'm not like you guys with powerful Fire Release or fast Taijutsu, but you can definitely rely on me for healing," Rin smiled as she spoke.

"Especially you, Obito, don't push yourself too hard. Make sure to tell me when you need healing, or is it that you don't trust my abilities?" Rin stood with hands on her hips, slightly puffing her cheeks, asking Obito.

"Of course not," Obito immediately denied.

He might not be very good at pleasing girls, but he knew you definitely shouldn't say yes at times like this.

"Sometimes it really doesn't feel like anything," Obito couldn't find a better answer, so he chose to be stubborn.

"You really make people worry," Rin sighed helplessly, holding her forehead.

She was truly concerned about Obito's well-being after graduation; both Mokgetsu and she wouldn't be around. His teammates might not be as reliable as Kakashi and Might Guy. What would happen if he got injured during a mission?

"Heh heh," hearing Rin's words, Obito couldn't help but chuckle. Although they sounded like words of admonition, it showed that Rin cared about him a lot.

After completing the treatment, they returned to the examination arena.

Before long, the final four-into-two match concluded, ushering in the decisive battle of the practical exam.

Meanwhile, half of the spectators had left, believing there was no need to watch further as Might Guy was certain to win.

The remaining spectators also thought that Might Guy would undoubtedly be the victor, but some decided to stay and see the final match through.

"Might Guy wins!"

As expected, Might Guy won, and quite decisively at that.

His opponent wasn't Obito, and Might Guy didn't even open the Eight Gates, defeating them instantly once he activated his breathing technique. The proctor barely had time to say "start" before announcing the victory.

"The flames of youth burned fiercely today!" Might Guy proclaimed, giving himself a thumbs-up after taking first place in the grade.

Once again achieving first place in his year, he was steadily advancing on the path of his dreams.

"Guy, congratulations on achieving first place in your year. You performed very well today," Teacher Mokgetsu smiled and offered his student blessings, gifting Might Guy his own calligraphy.

"Where there is a will, there is a way." Looking at the words, Might Guy felt Teacher Mokgetsu's expectations for him.

"Teacher Mokgetsu, don't worry, I will definitely give my utmost effort in training to realize my dreams and not let you down!" Might Guy shouted, his eyes filled with tears and his fists clenched.

"I believe in you, you will succeed and become the strongest in Taijutsu," Mokgetsu replied with a warm smile.

[You gifted your student's personal calligraphy, and the student was very grateful. You received a massive reward, gaining mastery in Splitting Tiles.]

Seeing the reward, Mokgetsu was momentarily speechless, wondering what mastery of Splitting Tiles meant and why it was so proficient with tiles.

When the system's skill training memory reached Mokgetsu's mind, he recalled which world this skill came from.

Splitting Tiles is a Fighting Type skill from the Pokemon World, specifically involving a downward chop with a hand knife, capable of breaking Light Screens or Reflects with considerable power.

After being localized by the system, Splitting Tiles became a Taijutsu, specifically an attack using a hand knife, but with two modes of attack.

One is close-range Splitting Tiles, where Chakra is wrapped around the hand to enhance its penetration power and then the hand knife strikes.

The second is long-range attack, consuming more Chakra and being less powerful than close-range Splitting Tiles, but with the advantage of hitting distant enemies, somewhat akin to Eight Trigrams Air Palm.

After slightly organizing the training memories, Mokgetsu was very satisfied with the reward, as this Taijutsu not only had two modes of attack but also impressive power.

Although it just involved a hand chop, it was evidently not comparable to a random hand chop and the system's Splitting Tiles technique.

Just like Tsunade's Monster Strength Fist, which seems simple upon throwing a punch, it actually contains intricate Chakra manipulation techniques.

Although Splitting Tiles does not have the complexity of Monster Strength, it's not something that can be used casually. The key is compressing Chakra to achieve higher density and strength.

"Why not rename it to Leaf Hand Blade, Splitting Tiles sounds odd," Mokgetsu considered renaming it while teaching his student.

Besides congratulating the victorious student with a gift, Mokgetsu did not forget to comfort the defeated Obito. After the training session in the Southern Border Forest, they had a good chat even though he knew there would be no reward, he still gave Obito a piece of his own calligraphy.

With the Ninja Academy exams over, Mokgetsu's student's break had also ended, returning to their previous training routine.

On the first day after exams, to help students regain their rhythm, Mokgetsu increased the intensity. Shisui and Obito underwent problem-solving special training, while Kakashi and Mokgetsu's Shadow Clone used Breath of Thunder for combat.

"This time aim to keep the number of questions under thirty," Obito was spirited, as the number of questions in his special training had almost always decreased with each session.

"Just dodge as before," Shisui was also confident, having successfully dodged Mokgetsu's attack even without activating his Sharingan.

Training began, the two again ran apart, with Shadow Clones in pursuit.

Shisui immediately activated his Sharingan to observe Mokgetsu's Shadow Clone's actions.

Despite already having succeeded in dodging once, Shisui still didn't recklessly wait in place for Mokgetsu's attack.

Knowing that perfect states aren't always available, he aimed to reduce being hit by minimizing the number of attacks from Mokgetsu he encountered.

When he could no longer avoid dodging, Shisui stopped, his blood-red eyes fixed on Mokgetsu's fingers.

"I want to complete what my grandfather left unfinished. I want the Uchiha clan members to no longer be prejudiced against. I'm Teacher Mokgetsu's first student; I can dodge this attack!" Shisui's expression grew more relaxed, his gaze more steadfast.

"Breath of Flame, Full Concentration Breath!"

As his breathing became more and more focused, Shisui really felt as if flames were igniting within him, providing him with endless energy.

In the end, Mokgetsu's fingers brushed by Shisui's hair, and he succeeded.

Shisui's mouth curved slightly upwards, immediately using the Instant Body Jutsu to create distance, continuing to evade Mokgetsu's pursuit.

"Obito was hit seventeen times, dodged twice, needing a total of thirty questions. Shisui was hit fifteen times, dodged twice, needing a total of twenty-six questions," Mokgetsu announced the special training results afterward.

"I can't believe it's only twenty-six!" Obito looked at Shisui with envy.

Although he did make progress, it was not as significant as Shisui's major advance.

"It's just four questions more," Shisui smiled, comforting Obito, satisfied with his result this time.

"But it's a full four questions," Obito felt that the disparity in human experience was significant; how could four questions be casually dismissed as no big deal.

Pop!

Mokgetsu tapped Obito's forehead with his finger. Obito instinctively dodged with all his might, but Mokgetsu's finger still precisely landed on Obito's forehead and said, "If it's too many, you can split them over time."

"No, no, I'd better try to put in the effort," Obito wanted to break the habit of splitting them over time.

On the second day after the exams, Obito did not head directly to the Southern Border Forest when he woke up in the morning but went to the Ninja Academy.

As it was the day when the Ninja Academy's results were posted, Mokgetsu said they could check the results before heading to the forest for training, and Obito was eager to see the expressions of those who looked at his score report in the task records.
