The next day, after finishing his morning class, Mokgetsu went to the Hokage Building.
Sarutobi Hiruzen, being the Third Hokage, couldn't possibly wait in the school office every day for his response, so he told Mokgetsu to come to the Hokage Building if he considered taking on a tutoring role.
When Mokgetsu reached the floor of the Hokage Office, he was stopped, but as expected, he was allowed to pass after stating that the Third Hokage had summoned him.
Mokgetsu knocked on the wooden door of the Hokage Office.
"Third Hokage, I've made my decision." Mokgetsu identified himself and his purpose.
"Oh, it's Habu, come in," the Third Hokage's voice sounded from inside the door.
Mokgetsu opened the door and was surprised to find that besides the Third Hokage, Minato was also present.
Minato was also surprised to see Mokgetsu, not expecting to meet the new neighbor he met yesterday here in the Hokage Office today.
"This is Teacher Habu from our Ninja Academy; he has extraordinary teaching abilities, so much so that even I would like to ask him to tutor Asuma," the Third Hokage introduced with a smile, setting his pipe aside.
Sensing something between the two, the Third Hokage asked:
"Do you know each other, Minato?"
Minato nodded and said, "We are neighbors. Habu's home is right next to mine."
"What a coincidence! You two should exchange more ideas. You are both outstanding ninjas in your respective fields," Sarutobi Hiruzen praised.
"Not at all, I just do my best," Mokgetsu responded modestly.
Minato also humbly excused himself and left, having a good impression of Mokgetsu, but the Hokage Office was not an appropriate place for casual conversation.
Mokgetsu shared the same thought, not engaging much with Minato due to the unsuitable setting.
"Third Hokage, after thinking it over seriously, I believe I can allocate a few hours on weekends to tutor Asuma," Mokgetsu gave his response.
"Great, with you teaching, I won't have to worry about Asuma's growth," Sarutobi Hiruzen said merrily, showing full trust in Mokgetsu.
"I will do my utmost not to disappoint you, Third Hokage, and will commit fully to teaching Asuma," Mokgetsu expressed his gratitude, assuring a serious approach to his tutoring job.
Next came the more mundane discussion about payment. The Third Hokage proved to be generous, offering a rate of two thousand ryo per hour for eight hours over the two weekend days, settled weekly.
Mokgetsu scheduled his time from 1 PM to 5 PM.
Since it was Friday, Mokgetsu, having no afternoon classes, went straight to the usual training spot by the river, where Shisui was practicing Fire Release with Mokgetsu's Shadow Clone.
Since acing the exam effortlessly to become first of his grade, Shisui followed Mokgetsu's advice to use a Shadow Clone to attend school while using school time to train with Mokgetsu.
Upon Mokgetsu's arrival, he dispelled the Shadow Clone. Shisui, noticing Mokgetsu's presence, momentarily halted his training and greeted, "Teacher Mokgetsu."
Mokgetsu nodded, handing a small towel to Shisui with a smile, "Take a break and wipe off your sweat."
Thanking Mokgetsu, Shisui took the towel and wiped the sweat off his forehead and neck, then sat with Mokgetsu under the tree.
Mokgetsu evaluated Shisui.
[Name: Uchiha Shisui]
[Chakra: 580]
[Potential: SS-]
Compared to a month ago, there was significant progress in chakra, thanks to increased training intensity and Shisui's physical development, promising faster future growth.
Mokgetsu found the panel too simplistic, showing only chakra and potential.
After resting for a while, Mokgetsu spoke,
"Shisui, starting today, your training plan will change to include Instant Body Jutsu training and enhancing chakra control ability."
Since Shisui would eventually earn the title 'Shisui of the Body Flicker' during the Third Great Ninja War, Mokgetsu deemed it optimal to teach him Instant Body Jutsu first.
"Okay," Shisui nodded in agreement, having developed deep trust in Mokgetsu's teaching over a month of learning.
The Instant Body Jutsu isn't a single ninjutsu but a category of jutsu. Techniques achieving the instant body effect fall under it.
At a higher level, Space-Time Ninjutsu like the Flying Thunder God or the body-enhancing Lightning Chakra Mode could be considered Instant Body Jutsu.
However, Mokgetsu neither knew the Flying Thunder God nor the Lightning Chakra Mode. What he knew was the most basic Instant Body Jutsu.
It involved forming hand seals to gather chakra in the legs before an explosive release, empowering the body for high-speed movement. Its downside was potential leg muscle fatigue and injury from overuse.
Though a simple D-rank taijutsu, it proved valuable in combat for both assault and retreat.
Shisui's talent didn't disappoint Mokgetsu. Even without activating his Sharingan, his robust abilities led him to master the Instant Body Jutsu right after Mokgetsu demonstrated and explained it once.
When the Ninja Academy's classes ended, Might Guy and Obito soon arrived at the training spot.
"Hold on, don't rush into training. I have planned a special two-month training regimen for you," Mokgetsu called out to the eager Might Guy and Obito.
Hearing Mokgetsu's gentle voice, Obito thought he might learn something new and powerful, looking at Mokgetsu with anticipation, "Teacher Mokgetsu, are you going to teach us some powerful new ninjutsu?"
"You haven't even mastered Mighty Dragon Fire and Great Fireball yet. Why teach you new ninjutsu?" Mokgetsu shook his head.
"Then what's this special training?" Obito asked, a bit disappointed about the lack of new ninjutsu learning opportunities.
"It's training to help you defeat Hyuga Kamon in the next final exam," Mokgetsu smiled.
"Obito, your taijutsu is too weak. Even against Might Guy, who would prevent you from using any ninjutsu, you must bolster your taijutsu training."
Obito wanted to counter Mokgetsu's statement but found he couldn't. His battles against Hyuga Kamon and Might Guy had indeed resulted in such losses.
Though ninja battles sometimes resemble magical duels, those who rely solely on ninjutsu without taijutsu training are often the first to fall in battle. Generally, powerful ninjas possess some taijutsu skills.
"As for Guy, you need to strengthen your strengths by becoming faster. You need to be swift enough that even if Hyuga Kamon's Byakugan spots your movements, it can't react in time."
While Byakugan's observation power is formidable, Might Guy doesn't need to surpass it. He only needs to outpace Hyuga Kamon's reactions.
"From now on, for every hour you train, you'll also engage in half an hour of sparring, limited to taijutsu without any ninjutsu."
"Ah, no ninjutsu?" Obito was dumbfounded. Already at a disadvantage, not using ninjutsu seemed like asking for a beating.
"If you don't want to lose to Hyuga Kamon again, then avoid using ninjutsu," Mokgetsu retorted.
Imagining the boasts he made in front of Nohara Rin, Obito, foreseeing tough training ahead, couldn't help but agree tearfully.
As a new round of training began, Mokgetsu wondered if this special training would trigger a disciple's strength growth reward. So far, it hadn't happened once, and he was unsure to what extent it needed to increase.
