He returned to the house and checked the household supplies,
finding that during his absence, some seasonings and ingredients had run out.
So, taking this opportunity, Naoki called upon Cyclizar and rode it to Porto Marinada Town.
Due to the temperature, the people of Porto Marinada Town were already wearing warm winter clothes. Although it hadn't snowed yet, some who feared the cold even had their scarves on.
After replenishing the household supplies from the store, Naoki went to the town's seed shop.
Seed Shop Owner Elo greeted him with a cheerful smile: "Hi Naoki, it's been so long since I've seen you!"
Naoki smiled and replied, "I was out for a bit recently, just got back."
"I see!" Elo said in realization, "So, take a look, what seeds would you like to buy this time?"
"Carrot seeds, do you have them here?" Naoki glanced around, searching the shelves.
Now with the Snow Field and Ghost Field, he didn't have to worry about food problems for Glastrier and Spectrier.
Just plant normal carrot seeds in them, and they would soon grow into Iceroot and Shaderoot Carrots that the two horses love to eat.
Besides that, Naoki remembered that Calyrex said it wanted to eat carrots.
Luckily the ranch still had plenty of normal fields where he could plant some for Calyrex and later cook them into a dish to see if carrots had any magical effects.
Upon hearing his needs, Elo replied quickly, "Yes, yes, we have them!"
He left the counter to help retrieve the goods, expressing his gratitude to Naoki while picking them up:
"Thanks to you, my daughter Bell now dares to leave her room!"
Naoki was a bit surprised; he recalled the girl who was afraid to go out, worried that something outside would hurt her.
He remembered suggesting giving Bell a harmless Eevee Egg so she could raise a Pokemon from a young age, and thus wouldn't be afraid.
"How is she now?" Naoki asked curiously.
Elo grinned and explained, "At first, Bell was very worried. But after Eevee hatched, the situation gradually improved."
"Earlier when Eevee accidentally ran outside, Bell mustered the courage to leave the house to find Eevee. Speaking of which, Eevee played a huge role in Bell overcoming her fear of being harmed!"
"That's great." Naoki laughed; he could almost imagine the situation at the time.
A girl who developed paranoia about being harmed after a Pokemon incident was eventually healed by a Pokemon.
Such a perfect ending.
After paying for the seeds, Naoki bid farewell to Elo and headed to the small cabin Keri had built on the forest edge.
When he arrived there, Keri was inside drawing house design plans.
Upon hearing movement behind her, Keri turned and said in surprise, "What a rare guest!"
Naoki: "..."
Keri smirked and stood up to inquire, "What would you like to buy this time?"
Naoki replied concisely, "Stables, I want to build two spacious stables."
Keri was quite surprised: "Have you caught a horse-type Pokemon? Which one is it? Mudsdale or Rapidash?"
Naoki smiled mysteriously, "Neither!"
Seeing this, Keri couldn't help but frown: "Couldn't be Slowbro, right? Oh, I almost forgot, Slowbro has been changed to Slowbro by the League."
Naoki said speechlessly, "Slowbro can't be ridden at all, can it? As for which horse, you'll find out at the ranch."
"Alright." Seeing his secretive demeanor, Keri didn't ask further. She turned to take out stable designs, asking, "Come and see, what kind of stable do you want to build?"
Naoki stepped forward to check.
The design had two sheets.
The first sheet showed a connected stable with a large space inside, enough for several horse-type Pokemon to live.
The second sheet showed an individual small house-like stable suitable for a single horse.
Keri explained, "The first design is for horse farms where many horse-type Pokemon are generally raised."
Upon hearing this, Naoki immediately rejected the first design in his mind: "Let's not go with the first one."
Because Glastrier and Spectrier's relationship was neither close nor distant, and one was quiet while the other was restless, they weren't suited to live together.
"Then the second one." Keri continued, "This kind of stable has a larger inside space, covered in a thick layer of hay, ideal for one horse."
Naoki was satisfied, so he nodded: "Then the second one, I want two."
"Two, a total of two horses?" Keri asked in surprise.
Naoki nodded.
"Alright." Keri was merely a bit surprised; she didn't ask much: "In that case, shall I visit your ranch in the afternoon?"
"Sure."
The two agreed to meet in the afternoon, and then Naoki rode Cyclizar back to the ranch.
