Phione…
The Pokemon hatched from Manaphy's egg, born in the icy sea depths, living in warm sea waters, is renowned for its migratory nature.
Every year, at a certain time, they journey a great distance to return to where they were born.
At this moment, these sea-dwelling Pokemon are swimming in groups across this ocean territory, as if embarking on a pilgrimage.
With their movement, whirlpools are stirred in the ocean, countless azure-colored Phione dance lightly amidst the tides.
They sometimes leap up, sometimes dive deep.
When they leap, they lift masses of seawater, forming a pillar of water that seemingly reaches towards the moon.
When they dive deep, the seawater gathers around them, naturally forming a flowing vortex.
Their azure bodies merge seamlessly with the sea's hue, flying towards the moon with the water, soaring towards the sky.
The gentle moonlight intertwines with sparkling droplets above the deep blue sea, creating a breathtaking scene.
Naoki gazes at the sight with awe.
After a brief moment of stupor, he decisively switches the camera mode to recording mode.
Below the sea, countless Dratini and Dragonair are swimming furiously.
They struggle against nature, against themselves, bravely overcoming the strength of the ocean currents, swimming upwards.
Yet the ocean's power is immensely overwhelming.
The juvenile Quasi-Gods appear weak and vulnerable in its presence.
Dratini and Dragonair constantly get swept into the deep sea by whirlpools, the fierce currents leaving marks on their bodies.
Nonetheless, the Dratini and Dragonair do not relent.
After adjusting slightly, they charge towards the ocean whirlpool once more, bearing their injuries.
In their fierce battle, finally, the first Dragonair breaks through the whirlpool.
Its graceful form pierces the vortex, leaping into the sky.
Glistening droplets fall from its body, and the next moment, a concentrated white light bursts from the Dragonair.
It is the light of life evolution!
"Awooo!"
With a melodious cry, a brand new Dragonite emerges within the light.
Then comes the second, the third...
On the island, the adult Dragonite flap their wings, levitating high in the air, watching the spectacle.
No Dragonite steps in to help, for they know that this is something that must be accomplished by oneself; every Dragonite has gone through this.
"This is truly magnificent!"
Naoki can't help but exclaim.
Naoki zooms in the picture, amidst the many Dratini and Dragonair, he spots the very conspicuous Shiny Dratini.
Almost lagging at the very end, its slender and tender body is continually pushed back.
From the footage, it's clearly visible that this Dratini's stamina is rapidly diminishing, to the point that it can hardly muster the energy to swim.
The small form repeatedly disappears into the whirlpool, swallowed by the pitch-black sea, until it doesn't appear for a long time.
From above, the scenes beneath the sea surface are unseen; seeing this, Naoki's heart leaps to his throat instantly.
Dratini… it shouldn't drown, right?
And just then, the lens captures that delicate pinkish figure once more.
It struggles within the whirlpool, determination etched across its youthful face.
But the force of the sea is truly monumental; despite its utmost effort, it remains immobile against the fierce currents.
Momentarily, the situation reaches an impasse.
Watching the Dratini face being swept away by the sea again, Naoki can't help but shout:
"Dratini, hang in there!"
Around, the Dragonite turn their gaze sharply in his direction.
Naoki pays no attention, focusing entirely on the camera's display.
It seems the Dratini really hears his cheers.
It vigorously writhes its body, exerting an explosive burst of energy from its small frame.
With a whoosh, the Dratini finally breaks through the whirlpool, soaring into the sky.
Glittering droplets cascade from its form, the moment seemingly frozen in time.
Dratini's pink skin appears wondrous under the moonlight.
In the next moment, a ray emanates from its body.
Within the light, Dratini's body quickly transforms.
Its form becomes more slender, covered in smooth pink scales all over, with a bright white belly, its eyes black and shiny.
A tiny white horn emerges from its forehead; two small white wings grow on either side of its head, and a golden bead resembling a bell appears on its neck.
"It worked!"
Naoki feels happy for Dratini from the bottom of his heart.
Dratini, no, Dragonair, after successfully evolving, immediately flies enthusiastically towards the shore, coming before Naoki.
"Woo!"
Naoki asks, "Did you hear?"
The Shiny Dragonair nods lightly, then affectionately nudges Naoki with its head.
Naoki chuckles as he strokes its head, examining the Shiny Dragonair's body.
Aside from its charming pink dragon scales, the most captivating feature is surely the golden bead on its neck.
"Could it possibly be a Nugget?"
Out of curiosity, Naoki reaches out to touch it.
As he touches the bead, the Dragonair suddenly emits a mysterious aura.
With a hum, the originally ordinary golden bead starts to glow faintly, airflow continuously swirls around the Dragonair.
