Chapter 200 - Chapter 151: Challengers Frightened by the Grass Trial

"Holy crap!"

"What... is that thing?!"

Both of them widened their eyes; no words could express their feelings in this situation.

The Gogoat, clutching the giant blade of grass, charged straight toward the falling Cetitan.

The two Pokemon collided fiercely in mid-air.

The moment the giant blade of grass hit it, Cetitan lost its balance and crashed straight to the ground, creating a large pit.

The Gogoat landed steadily behind the Cetitan.

The giant blade of grass in its mouth disappeared, and then it slowly turned to look at the Cetitan in the pit.

"???"

It was over... in an instant?!

The boy with glasses stared dumbfounded at the scene. Even as calm as he usually was, he couldn't help but suck in a breath of cold air.

The girl showed the same expression on her face.

She looked unbelievably at the Cetitan that had lost its ability to battle, suddenly realizing the gap between herself and the other side.

It was a gap as immense as between the heavens and the earth!

She turned her gaze to the Rancher.

But he just raised his head with a smile and asked, "Want to continue?"

The girl shivered and shook her head repeatedly: "No, no!"

She had a deep and clear understanding of herself; continuing would only get her tormented by that terrifying Gogoat.

She wasn't a masochist, so who would want to continue?!

Naoki was a bit disappointed; there were still two Gogoat that hadn't had their fill!

He looked at the two male students watching and asked, "What about you guys? Want to give it a try?"

The two boys were also startled and instinctively shook their heads: "Forget it, forget it! Maybe next time!"

The rare Dragonite, the unseen Pokemon, the flying Pawmo, the roaming Naclstack, the out-of-the-ordinary Gogoat...

Everything told them this place was unusual! This was definitely not an ordinary ranch!

Seeing this, Naoki felt even more disappointed.

He started to reflect inwardly, obviously realizing the terrifying strength displayed by Gogoat had frightened these three students, making them reluctant to battle it.

This won't do.

He thought briefly and then pulled out the rhetoric he used to fool Carter.

"What a pity," he sighed, "you haven't grasped the true meaning of the Grass Trial."

Sure enough, the eyes of the three were immediately drawn over.

"Mr. Naoki, what does that mean?" the girl couldn't help but ask.

Naoki, without missing a beat, replied:

"The original intention of creating the Grass Trial was to help more Trainers test and train the strength and temperament of the Pokemon by their side."

"Winning alone has never been the goal of the trial; the aim is to gain more experience from battles, to learn how to handle strong opponents, and to gain courage."

"So that in the future, when facing stronger foes, your Pokemon will remember this moment, if it can endure such a tough trial, then what else in the world can stop it?"

"An unyielding spirit and tenacious guts are essential qualities for becoming a strong Trainer, just like the wild-growing grass."

"Carter accomplished this, and that's why he's progressing so quickly. It's precisely those scars that have made them who they are."

"I don't want you all to gain nothing from the trial," Naoki explained with reason and passion, almost convincing himself.

And sure enough, after he said this, the three in front of him seemed moved.

The girl recalled what Mr. Naoki had said earlier—a true master always carries the heart of an apprentice.

This was clearly not something an ordinary person could say.

She couldn't help but say, "Mr. Naoki, you must be an incredible Trainer!"

A Master Level Trainer? Or a Champion? Or perhaps a retired Elite?

Not only powerful in strength but also so kind-hearted, even while living in seclusion, he never forgets to pass on his master's spirit.

He even wants to help younger Trainers grow stronger, considering them by creating such trials...

Thinking about it like that, Mr. Naoki is simply a noble and great person!
