Chapter 6 - CHAPTER SIX | HARTH

We saw the council fall as we started off. Huge pillars, heavy stones and knight armour filled the entire sea, more dropped from above, a complete air-ship went down like a dead bird. Gabrel pulled the wheel, he directed through the wreckage and popped through the other side.

"Where," he said.

"Keep going," a counsellor said as three boats rose behind us.

They came like an arrow, piercing through the sea.

"Get the arms."

Fyena started to pull the crates out. I retrieved a long musket from one of them and removed its lock. The ship swung left and right, I tossed the crate close with my leg and held it for balance. There were three ships, one of them had a cannon, and a green figure stood before it. The vision became less obscure, it was a goblin, it climbed right into the cannon hole. I took a shot, the cannon fired, the goblin spattered midway, a few feet above the water.

I extracted the casing and pushed the bolt back. Their huge sails helped the boat to speed up like no other. Fyena fired beside me. She caught the sail but it didn't help.

"Hurry," the counsellor cried.

I tried to focus on the ship with the cannon. This time I caught the guy who lightened the cannon. He was quickly replaced by another gobblin. I quickly released the shell and tried to take a shot, but I was too late. The goblin covered the entire lens, it caught me. The metal shot landed beside making a huge hole. The goblin pulled its axes and raised its arms. Fyena put her crossbow on the temple and snapped an arrow in. It fell on me dead. Another goblin landed on the ship ;luckily the shot didn't come that far. I swept the one on me and got up. It launched itself in the air. I swung the musket with the muzzle and caught it with the stock. The goblin fell into the sea. I quickly shifted my direction and started to fire the boats one at a time, till it got empty. I opened the crate for the magazine. Fyena filled the gap with her arrows. I put the rounds in and closed the bolt. The boats were more than close. A hand caught the muzzle. The wizard pushed the musket down and stood straight up. The sky started to darken, the three boats crashed into itself. The goblins screamed as they burst into blood.

The wizard knelt down, quickly the counsellors came to retrieve him back to the seat.

In the vast sea beyond the ship a tiny piece of land emerged with two small ships docked nearby. As we went nearby I could see two figures waiting for us. Gabrel gradually slowed down.

"Drop the anchor."

The counsellor picked the wizard again. Two of them helped to climb him down without speaking a single word, the others gathered on the deck, and the elves came down.

"We split."

"Alright."

"The three of us should go with the wizard, the others would spread."

"We can make it."

"No, you get to the East, I hope you heard, the dwarves are planning to reclaim."

"You want us to join the fight?"

"No, stop them, we need them for later. We need to gather an army."

"So we spread the word."

"Yes, the men would listen to us, you take care of the dwarves."

Gabrel thought for a moment, "It is dangerous to sail West alone, take Harthmen with you."

The counsellor raised his eyebrow. Gabrel glanced towards Fyena, "Let her initiate the talk, I can accompany you."

"We might need to split again," the counsellor said after a moment.

"It's safe once we reach the west."

He nodded, "Don't take much time." The counsellors started to climb down.

Gabrel nodded to Fyena and joined them. ONe of the counsellors climbed the other boat, the others all climbed into a new one. The anchors rose up, the sails fell, the ships started to move. I saw Helion standing down along with his friend glancing at the ships.

"What's your plan," I said.

The gnomes turned to me. "We wait," Helion's friend said.

"What's the name you said?"

"Bregt"

"Hop in Bregt,"

The gnomes stared at each other.

"They said the dwarves have enough resources to recreate the elements."

Helion immediately picked his bag and started to climb the ship. His friend sighed and joined.
