It's quite obvious.
Gilderoy might care about these issues, but Grindelwald was completely devoid of morals. He even disregarded his position as a professor and turned around to threaten Ian. Gilderoy Grindelwald couldn't care less about the lost Dementor, but he seemed to enjoy threatening Ian with it.
"Hiss, don't misunderstand, I really have no idea what you're talking about, I'm just happy to help a professor in need." Ian thought of it as the price for acquiring a Dementor.
Under Gilderoy Grindelwald's cheerful gaze, he used a Shrinking Spell to shrink all the boxes and then dashed off with the small boxes towards the direction of the dungeons.
According to the display on his self-made Living Map, there was a secret passage here that led directly to the Forbidden Forest. Only his map could reveal the information about these passages.
It's not selfish.
Ian just didn't want anyone to die because of an adventure outside in the remaining seven years, making him endure a little ghost haunting him every day for those seven years at Hogwarts.
"He clearly doesn't need help from others!"
Ian tossed the boxes at the entrance of the Forbidden Forest and slipped back into the secret passage within the big tree. Of course, he didn't believe that Gilderoy Grindelwald was really in such a hurry to have someone deliver the boxes to the Forbidden Forest early.
Maybe he just wanted to make Ian late, as bad men's thoughts are sometimes even harder to fathom than those of bad women. In any case, Ian unsurprisingly became the student who was late for the Magic Potion Class.
Fortunately, the door to the Magic Potion Class wasn't closed like it usually was. As soon as he got close to the front of the door, Ian could hear Professor Snape lecturing on a potion's formula inside the classroom.
"I sincerely apologize for being late this time, my dear Professor Snape." Ian knew full well that it was impossible to sneak in, so he boldly walked in and activated his charm mode.
"Prince, among this year's little wizards, you're the first one daring enough to be late." Snape looked a bit battered, but that didn't stop him from glaring irritably at Ian.
"Is it your arrogance making you think you can learn potion-making without attending classes, or have you, unbeknownst to us, saved Hogwarts once again with one of your absurd tales?" The familiar sarcasm actually held no power, and even the Slytherins didn't dare to laugh along.
"It's my fault! I'm terribly sorry!" Ian didn't plan to argue; he just bowed at a ninety-degree angle, and sure enough, in front of all the little wizards, Snape decided not to vent his anger further.
"Get back to your fellow students, Ravenclaw will lose five points because of you," he simply said coldly, then raised his hand to close the classroom door remotely.
Ian immediately ran discreetly to Aurora's side.
"It's all your grandfather's fault!"
He only dared to complain about his predicament to Aurora; after all, if Snape went to find Grindelwald because of his tardiness, who knew how Grindelwald would deal with Snape's sharp tongue.
"He said he was going to catch a few centaurs, did he take you with him?" Aurora obviously communicated with her grandfather regularly.
"Hiss~"
Ian clearly underestimated Grindelwald's audacity.
Before he could continue whispering with Aurora, Snape was already glaring disapprovingly, so he had no choice but to close his mouth and attentively listen to Snape's lecture.
Perhaps due to Ian's tardiness, or maybe because of the soul-infused potion from the last class, Snape had clearly singled out Ian during this class. Before Ian arrived in the classroom, Snape had already covered a lot of material and was testing Ian with various knowledge points from it.
Luckily, it didn't stump Ian.
Yet.
The Old Bat wasn't so easily dissuaded.
"Prince!" Following the completion of the lesson content, Snape didn't immediately allow everyone to brew potions. Suddenly, he let out a cold snort and posed a question to Ian.
"What can Fire Salamander blood be used for?" This was clearly not content for first-year little wizards, yet Snape asked it so nonchalantly.
"To increase the spiciness of a stew."
Ian blinked.
His answer left Aurora looking at him in astonishment and caught the other little wizards off guard. Of course, there were also little wizards whose eyes lit up as if they had learned something new.
"Prince, do you think you're being funny? I'm asking about its application in Magic Potion!" Snape's gaze swept around the classroom, and immediately everyone fell silent.
"It's a key ingredient for enhancement potions, which can boost the effects of other potions... It's not essentially different from what I just said."
Ian's words left Snape a bit speechless.
"Next question, tell me what kind of potion can be brewed with the root of a daisy, the skin of a fig, caterpillar, a tiny drop of leech juice, and the spleen of a rat."
Snape immediately moved to the next inquiry. This was also content that hadn't been taught yet, most likely to test whether Ian had thoroughly studied the notes he'd been given.
"The Shrinking Potion, also known as the Water of Youth, can revert a person or animal back to their younger form; just a few drops are enough to work, for example, turning a frog back into a tadpole."
Ian provided a straightforward answer.
Snape nodded approvingly.
