Chapter 143 - Chapter 90: Hello, Professor of Defense Against the Dark Arts_2

But it was clear that Helena Ravenclaw, who had been missing for several days, was unaware of this.

"You can actually coexist peacefully with Peeves? That's really incredible." Helena Ravenclaw was somewhat surprised as she turned her head to look at the little wizard who was very friendly to ghosts.

"Actually, Peeves isn't that scary; he just needs someone to reason with him." Ian looked at his fist, clearly implying that what he had shared with Peeves wasn't just reasoning but also some truths.

"I'm sorry you have to see me like this." Helena Ravenclaw didn't really care about Peeves; she turned her back and wiped the tears from her face.

"Are you missing Lady Ravenclaw? Perhaps you should be a bit braver and move forward; maybe she's always been waiting for you." Ian could only hint to help Lady Rowena Ravenclaw, as he couldn't possibly tell everyone he could traverse the Misty Illusion Realm as a Spirit Realm Traveler.

"My mother would never forgive me, and I don't expect her forgiveness... It's actually all my fault. I just hope she can have a peaceful journey in another realm."

Tears welled up uncontrollably in Helena Ravenclaw's eyes again.

She covered her face and sobbed.

Ian quickly spoke up.

"You might be underestimating your mother's feelings for you. How could she enjoy peace if she's always been waiting for you? We all know those legends about the dead."

He thought he should offer some comforting words, "The world after death is a new journey, just like an unknown night path. I believe no one knows a daughter better than her mother; she will surely wait for you, taking your hand to lead you forward, dispelling the fears in your heart and the hesitation about the future."

The gentle words moved Helena Ravenclaw to lower her hands and look down with her body-like milky eyes at the young-looking little wizard before her.

"Not only are you more handsome, but you're also more eloquent than he was. You will surely have a more brilliant future than him; just don't become like him when you grow up."

It was clear Helena Ravenclaw was referring to the young Tom, "Little Ian, I believe you're well-intentioned, so much so that you've lessened the fear in my heart. I now believe my mother indeed loves me enough, but you don't know me, you don't know how many unforgivable mistakes I've made."

A grudge lasting over a thousand years isn't something words can easily unravel.

"Lady Helena, escaping won't solve any problems. What child doesn't make some mistakes? There's no treasure in this world more precious than one's own child."

Ian continued to speak softly.

Helena Ravenclaw seemed quite surprised as she looked up and down at the little wizard in front of her, "It seems you've learned quite a bit about my story?"

Ian nodded noncommittally.

"What a typical little Ravenclaw wizard; your curiosity always drives you to explore, but no matter how many books you read, you might never truly understand my mother." Helena Ravenclaw sighed lightly, "She was so exceptional, and I tore her pride to shreds."

"Even if she can forgive me, I can never forgive myself." It was apparent that Helena Ravenclaw's grudge had not been dissolved by Ian's comforting words.

"You will reunite eventually, so why prolong the time?"

Looking at the unyielding ghost, Ian sighed slightly. He felt he might need to take a course on persuasive speaking. Why are these ancient witches always like this?

One is more reflective than the other, but none look forward.

The senior sister who writes books for the teacher is like this, and the child of Lady Rowena Ravenclaw before him is like this too. Clearly, the senior sister wasn't taken to Teacher Morgan by any Raven in the Soul Land in the Misty Illusion Realm, and perhaps the senior sister, somewhere like Helena Ravenclaw, has become a ghost trapped by her own thoughts.

"Little Ian, your eloquence is actually quite good; it's just that you clearly haven't learned about ghosts yet. To this day, no ghost has ever departed from the mortal world."

"Do you know why?"

"Because becoming a ghost is a one-time choice; once you become a ghost, the soul can no longer change its state. In your fourth year, you'll learn about this knowledge."

Helena Ravenclaw touched Ian's head from a distance and floated away. Even after her figure completely disappeared, Ian still couldn't figure out how to invite her with "Come to my dorm tomorrow night to sleep together" in a way that wouldn't be easily misunderstood.

"Tell her there's a miracle in my bed tomorrow night? Ugh~ that's even more suggestive than saying there's a treasure!" Ian scratched his head in frustration, the more he thought about it, the more likely it seemed to cause misunderstanding.

Perhaps the only way not to be misunderstood is to find a way to knock Helena Ravenclaw out, then grab her when she's confused and instantly put her to sleep.

A knockout is easy enough.

But putting her to sleep instantly is a bit tricky.

Sleep Potion?

Or perhaps casting a Stupefy on myself?

Ian had never tried if he could enter that boundary this way at the right time.

"Ah, my dear Transformation Technique professor, how am I supposed to fulfill the promise I made to you and reunite your family?" Ian turned to look at the portrait where Helena had previously paused.
